Namaskaram, one analysis which is not seeming the explanation of yojanas is that, in other valmiki shlokas, he mentioned the height of mountains as 30 yojanas, and buildings being 1 yojana. 30 yojana seems to be a bit unrealistic. I hope you also might have came across those shlokas. Can you pls shed some light on them and help understand how can we interpret them? 🙏

భారతీయ వాఙ్మయము ఎగిరే, కాళ్లుగల సర్పాలు అంటే, తూర్పు ఆసియా దేశాలు డ్రాగన్ అంటూ ఉంటె, పశ్చిమ దేశాలు రాక్షస బల్లులు వంటివి మానవులకు ముందు ఈ భూమిని పాలించేవి అంటారు. బల్లులు, సర్పాలు కూడా సరీసృపములు అనే గ్రూప్ కు చెందినవే అని గ్రహించాలి నాగ (జాతి మరియు దేశము), నగము (కొండ), నగరము, నాగరికత, నాగరి లిపి (సంస్కృతము, హిందీ భాషల లిపి) నగ (ఆభరణము), నాకము (స్వర్గము) నావ (సర్పాకార పడవ నేడు కేరళలో చూడవచ్చు) వంటి పదాలు ఆ సర్పజాతి నుంచి వచ్చినవే. ఉరగ జాతి సర్పాల నిలయముగా తక్షశిలా (ఇక్ష్వాకు వంశము భరతుని కొడుకు తక్ష), పుష్కలావతి (భరతుని రెండవ కొడుకు) నాగదేశాల పశ్చిమ సరిహద్దు. ఇవే మహాభారతములో యమునా నది నుంచి సింధునది వరకు గల ప్రాంతము ఖాండవవనము అని పిలువబడిన నాగదేశమే. మధుపురి (శత్రుఘ్నుని పొయెద్దకొడుకు), శూరసేన (శత్రుఘ్నుని రెండవ కొడుకు) దేశాలు, పద్మావతి నగరము (గ్వాలియర్ వద్ద) నాగ దేశాల.మధ్య భారతము. భారత దేశ అతి ప్రాచీన నాగరికతా ప్రదేశాలు మాయానగరము (హరిద్వార్) నాగుల ఉత్తర సరిహద్దు, అనంత (తిరువనంతపురం) నాగదేశపు దక్షిణ సరిహద్దు. 16 ఉత్తమ నాగరాజులు భారత దేశాన్ని పాలించేయని చెబుతారు. ఉరుగ్వే, ప(రాగ్వే పర + ఉరుగ్వే ఉరుగ్వే తరువాతి దేశము) వంటి దక్షిణ అమెరికా దేశాల పేర్లు ఉరగ అనే సర్ప జాతి పదములుగా తోస్తున్నాయి. దీనిని బట్టి, మానవులు ఎగిరే, పాదములుగల సర్పజాతి నశించినప్పుడు వాటి మూలాలనుండి జనించేరేమో?

Dear friend, I liked your video, but some where I read exactly I don't remember, but Vishwakarma has built the city of Lanka, but it was not build for Ravana, it was built for goddess MAA durga (Parvathi) , story is some what like this, lord Vishnu has vaikuntham as his residence, lord bramha has bramha lok only lord Shiva has no residence except Mount Kailasha, MAA Parvathi called Vishwakarma and narrated her story asking Vishwakarma to build this Lanka city which was not named after the City was built lord Shiva asked Ravana who is the best bhakt of lord Shiva and a very good braman so asked Ravana to do the city worming Pooja as Ravana was very happy to do so and Shiva was happy with his work and told Ravana to ask for brahmana dakshina, so Ravana asked to donate Lanka city to him. Rest all the story is perfectly matched as I listen to sundara Kanda every Saturday. And came to a conclusion. Sorry if I am wrong. Correct my mistake. Please.
