I own a twin twelve. I purchased it in 1966. All original. Silvertones do not have powerful preamps. Breaks up easily. the dirt setting on JHS pedal is very realistic. It's not pretty sound, but as I said, wasn't designed to distort. Tremolo is powerful. You can get sci-fi/thunder and lighting sounds by turning off the channels and boosting the reverb channel. Love the JHS pedal!
I picked this up recently and it's a great pedal. I use the red remote input with a Boss FS-5L for channel switching, and it sounds fantastic into a clean amp!
A really cool idea would be to have the RedRemote input on a Sweet Tea. You could then plug it into a pedalboard switcher and determine per preset which side of the Sweet Tea you want to use.
I have a Superbolt and the Twin Twelve and I use the Twin like a clean drive and the Superbolt for Gain...I think you need both to have the Supro sound covered.
Yeah, this is one of their best pedals imo. I like the tube screamer, rat and muff combo pedals too. But this one is definitely unique. Is or can it run on 18v?
No, it can’t. From the manual: POWER - Uses 9V DC Negative Center. The Twin Twelve is internally charged to 18V. Do not use more than 9V DC. Your warranty will be voided. 34mA consumption.
My Twin Twelve I think might be faulty. On the clean setting, it almost only sounds like a preamp. Even with the drink cranked, it only sounds like it getting slightly dirty. You have to crank it all the way on the Dirt channel to get any slight form of dirty. I am running it through a clean fender which isn’t cranked. Would that make any difference?
Every review states that it "stays true" to the 1484, but I have bad luck with running pedals as a preamp in the past... When running this as a preamp direct into a poweramp, will it take fuzz like the 1484 would, or will it be a fizzy mess like many other preamps-in-a-pedal?
Really wish I would've waited for this version, as I kind of expected a 60s garage rock tone. I'm genuinely surprised to learn that Sears amplifiers from the 60s were hi-gain, cookie-monster-metal, Mesa Rectifier soundalikes. I would have REALLY LIKED TO HAVE SEEN a teenage garage band in 1966 try to play covers of The Buckinghams and The Beau Brummels at a high school dance with the amp THIS was modeled from.

Icky Thump had me in tears. Wonderful job guys!
I just ordered one and I'm very excited!
This is Andy's Favorite JHS Pedal . . . I can see why ? Very Nice for: True Amp-like = Low to Med Gain Overdrive. Love the Clean Blend - too.
that is a sick red hiwatt

I’ve never seen a Vintage JHS video before. I don’t have this pedal, am I gonna survive?
I love the intro ... reminds me of u2's zooropa album
Awesome!
my gas is starting to come back

Sounds cool
Would it be possible for you to make a Silvertone 1485 version?
Does V2 have more gain on tap than V1? Is there any sonic differences between the versions or is it just feature based?
Would a big muff go before or after ? Which order for a white stripes tone

Hey Josh --- can you tell me about Hiwatt Amps and pedals? ...
Looks great! Do you need the special red JHS foot switch or can you use a standard amp footswitch?
Standard amp footswitch will do.
Why the red remote input instead of a 2nd stomp button?

Here from the Worst Pedals video
Same here, now I see why it doesn't sell😂
RUclips recommended this after watching the Worst Pedals video... lol
Same! But I ordered a Morning Glory v4. XD

Did you ever get this resolved? I think I have the same issue on the dirt channel. Also running a clean Fender deluxe
Sounds good.
If V3 includes an IR option of the 2x12 cab's these things shipped with, reserve one for me.
I love(d) those amps wide open.

Look a the video how to sound like jack white on youtube, the guy use fuzz and it works fine!
Is there a big db difference between the clean and dirt settings? If so, could you tame that in the next version?
홍동균 라이브 봤다고 이게 추천에 뜬다고?
discontinued? darn

Love and own this, but have you heard the Jackson Audio 1484 Twin Twelve!
What kind of Tele is that? I must know!
Fano TC-6
Any cheaper alternatives for jhs twin twelve?
Michał Białkowski buy a used one, if you can find one that is

So it's a boost and overdrive?
Effectively, yes
Ugh, the remote. Not a fan. Would rather have a second footswitch. Maybe an offset one like Mathews Effects does?
this guy looks like an albino Jabba the hutt
