Holy crap, this brings back memories of my first PC. A Tandy 386 SX and a whopping 2 megs of memory. Oh, and a Sound Blaster. Along with a F1 game.
I guess you had to be there, but it felt real at the time!
Oh my god. I used to play this on my uncle's Olivetti M15 when I was a little kid. :~~
The noise was just terrible. :D
+Luis Eduardo Braschi Hot damn man, Those things were equal in price to their weight in gold....
I played this when I was 13 years old ('92) on my Compaq Portable with its geen monochrome display and I really enjoyed it :)
My brother refused to buy the green monochrome monitor. He felt amber was where it was at.
Man, this brings back memories
My first experience with ms flight sim
I spent many hours playing this - but had the Amiga, so the sound effects and framrate was much better.
Yeah, most of Amiga port were superior during 80s and beginning of 90s.
@@Squakenet the Amiga had an on board sound chip and graphics chips. The aircraft at least sounded like the real thing, and the graphics had more high res and more colours. At the time Commodore had the edge in technology, and bad management destroyed the company.
I'd usually fly the Camel, or mint green learjet and try to split the sears tower antennas.
Memories…
thats waht I call a GAME! =)
I played it on an old 286, EGA monochrome
Started out on a Commodore 64, That's 64 kB RAM, 20 kB ROM and a 6510 processor working at 1.02 MHz. Haha
Started out on a rock. That's 0.0015 kB RAM .000032 kB ROM and a sedimentary processor working at .0429KHz. Ahuehue
Im trying to play just now. You have a manual or some shortcuts to show me?
No, we don't unfortunately. You may have a look at www.replacementdocs.com/news.php
What plane do you fly boeing 747 or cessna 172
Wasnt this on floppy? Like giant ass actually floppy Floppy? lol
Yes, probably it was released on 5.25 inch floppies.
7:12 is this the World Trade Center???
MegaUnwetter i don’t think so. It’d be higher
Might be Marina City twin towers in Chicago.
Looks like San Francisco to me.
It's San Fransisco. The triangle building is the Transamerica Pyramid and the road is Columbus Ave. I'm not sure what that pair of buildings exactly was at the time, but there are some tall apartment buildings in that location today at the top of a hill that's not modeled at all in the game.
It is sears towe chicago
And zoomers this day complain about FPS and resolution when I had to grow up with this basic shit
Hahah, these new generations!!
@@Squakenet old timer
Standards have gone up since then
without this or earlier versions or newer we wouldnt have the insane graphics in the new game!
@@landonbobbett2301 These were insane graphics back in the day.. I remember seeing this for the first time in color.. i was equally blown away as with the graphics in the current 2020 version.
