I remember being 9 years old coming home everyday from school and playing this on my potato of a PC. What an amazing game.

I remember trying to get this game to work on the giant family computer in the living room. Running Windows XP and my dad who was hellbent on not letting me download anything bcuz 'downloading bad', I ended up enjoying this game in a silky smooth 13fps
This is easily one of the most underrated mmos from back in the day
fusionfall and pirates online were my bread and butter as a kid. So nostalgic might have to try this one again for fun
Honestly if fusion fall got a modern update i think it would do really well, a lot of games miss the charm of what made this special and would be good to get kids interested in the old cartoon network shows
The problem is, current CN doesn't want kids to get interested in the old CN shows that made them successful in the first place.

Haven’t thought about it since 2010 playing on a new MacBook that my well off friend had while he played on the desktop. Can’t believe it’s been 13 years
It came out at a time where MMO's were oversaturated and blew my expectations out of the water. Tempted to give this another go
My first MMO was free realms. (Then starwars the clone wars online) followed immediately by fusionfall when i moved away from my friends who played the first game at all, never having a chance to talk to new friends about it.
One whole friend since middle school even remembers this game (likely because the parents of those kids preferred the pedophile content called Nickelodeon and Disney Channel)

free realms was such an amazing game man seriously i had so much fun when i was young getting every "class" or "skill" to level 20 and then farming the different colored lvl 20 gear from the bonus objectives in dungeons it was soo good i genuinely think it was ahead of its time @@chadmann2724
@@chadmann2724 lol i started playing Perfect World as a LITTLE KID and Roblox back in 2006/2007 that was my own first taste of those sort of games, I’ve ran into some different ones in the early 2000s but I forgot the names basically I started playing mmorpgs when I was 5 years old my big bro played too lol
I remember liking this a lot back when it was released since I loved the idea that all the cartoons from Cartoon Network(this was back when most of their shows were good too) all existed in one world where they worked together with the players to fight off the invasion.
How much I'd love for this incredible game to boom again, huge part of my childhood.
I'm Brazilian and I'm 23 years old, I loved playing this game, I've always been a fan of cartoon network, I spent the whole day watching them, when I discovered and played this game the feeling was magical, they were my "disney", I don't know if this expression will be good in another language, but that's it, thanks for the video!
I've been playing Open Fusion for like a year. Used to play this back in the Academy era of Fusionfall so like 2011 I believe?? But The Academy one is basically the character in the OG/retro Fusionfall did stop the future from being fucked in some way and now they have a chance to actually fight Fuse in the the Academy version.

Academy is what happened after the player returned from the future with the knowledge of nanos and fuse dexter/dexlabs the Plumbers and Providence work together to make a training course for future recruits to learn about fuse and nanos

Hey I just wanna say thank you for covering FusionFall as a pretty big RUclipsr. I really hope this game gets a decent bit of traction again so that it's gamestate is lively like it was years ago or even just half as lively tbh. I sincerely miss the days of when I played this for the first time and have always wanted to finish the game but never have due to the fact it's so grindy and by the time you get to grinding there aren't enough things to do outside the linear grind to keep me interested, at least without anyone to play with. But I do still want to complete it and it looks like I'll be trying again soon enough :D
It got a nice bit traction with Retro...until some player threw a tantrum and got CN to issue a cease & desist
I don't understand why CN cares so much about securing their old property...but they don't want to use that property themselves for anything..
With the original, it was very simple...low traffic means low profit
...but with Retro, the demand was there, but, they still wanted to suppress it
...it makes no sense to me 🤷♀️
Fusionfall was soo good, it was my favorite game as a kid

This game was an amazing addition to my life, not to mention the map and its size not big but perfect many quests and such.
Even with the whole Generator Rex addition and new areas i remember glitching into those areas and just chit chatting with the new players and pretty much just being the cool kid with flapping angel wings in a level 1 area, this game was just great imagine if Cartoon Network would make a new one.

@@ieatcrayons3322yep, one of the players was upset about some trivial update...so, to make a point, he contacted Cartoon Network. I'm not sure what he told them...but, all of sudden their legal team contacted Retro's developers and issued a cease & desist letter.
Personally, I'm just a gamer and not a lawyer or anything, but I read the letter, and I really think they had a lot of room to negotiate with CN.
The devs are nice guys, but they were a little skiddish, so they instantly complied and everything Retro or Legacy-related came to a grinding halt.
It really is a shame. We spent years camping on the forums waiting for Retro to be finished...and it only seemed to last a year or so I think :(

I played Fusionfall before it use to be called Fusionfall. Cartoon network had this game called Minimatch that was like a topdown 2d browser mmo in like 2008 that was basically a test version of Fusionfall before they released the game, only ogs know of Minimatch

FusionFall Heroes is one of the really fun and nostalgic games that used to be available on the Cartoon Network website, along with TKO: Titanic Kungfubot Offensive, Project Exonaut, and a few more that I can't remember right now.
The more i watched the more i started to remember about this game. This is wild i didnt play it much i dont think but i definitely played it because, its like a vague fog of memories that i can almost see in detail but not quite.
went back to it around 2022. had some nostalgia attack. i got one of those fanmade "CN-like" servers that has barely any difference than original.
it was pretty fun to go around on low levels. main popular characters were on higher level places which was fun imo. there was no reason to not use multiple hitting guns and fast pistols. gameplay was pretty easy (this comes from a WoW player)
however, just like any MMORPG, it didn't offer much in terms on progression. you're max lvl and that's it. not like this isn't a common problem with similar type games but there isn't much to do after that. you can group up against a strong npc and get smth cool out of it but that's it.
i wish it had better fusion lairs, like they could work more like dungeons in WoW and not some just 1-use quest room. hell it could even have Raids against Fusion main characters. it certainly had a charm with CN characters but in the end the game didn't offer much.
this really was the most lit mmo back in the day
I would be a happy, happy boy if they relaunched this game on the PS5.
I had the clock work gear for being a early player. I tried faxing the forum to prove I as old enough to unlock the full chat like 3 times and it never worked lol. Man so many good memories from this game it had an amazing world feel!
Things I remember the most is climbing the KnD tower (and various other buildings), the amazing ed edd n eddy cul-de-sac, super cool hoverboards and cloud mounts, the cool rail trolley system that took you around the map safely, the creepy Middle of Nowhere map and the devil canyon maps, the futuristic city areas,trying to land on the foster home, and more. Such an amazing game for kids back then.
Played this on my Dad’s laptop that could barely run it back in the day… man. So much nostalgia. Glad to see these games are being preserved
I wish I had known about this game back in the 2nd grade and/or 3rd grade, 'cause I would've loved it.

You know, I was either 8 or 9 when I was playing fusion fall, which was the academy version at the time. but it shut down due to lack of players over the years, a loss in profits and a lack of direction. But that’s when I learned that there is a private called openfusion, when I checked it out, I was shocked that it actually works, It was probably around September. It brought me so much nostalgia and now I can play it again after so long, and I play fusion fall original and academy to this day. (Haven’t played retro)

major nostalgia trip, i remember wanting to get that jetray cape so bad. btw does anybody remember that other carton network crossover game that was like, league of legends style? i remember you could play as feedback and fight this big scrap metal dinosaur boss.
FusionFall Heroes. It has a rough proof of concept server. But all you can really do is walk around.

this version is really fun, i don't remember the loot being as common as a kid but i was also bad at video games lol
I remember never getting past the Time Machine because I have no idea how to access to it, I was 6 when the game came out, couple years later I was able to access the whole game when the null void tutorial came out. I was able to play the game until 2013 shutdown, I ended up never getting Humongasaur until they freely give us all the nanos

I was so depressed when I couldn't get an account for the game. And right when I finally had my own email, right when I could join, it was offline.
When this game came out, I just assumed that it signaled the end of the bad games made with TV show characters. It always seemed like the people who made it really cared about it. Like, it feels like the securitron mk. 1 (fallout new vegas)

The academy version had a quest under the KND treehouse that had at least 40 kids attempting a timed monster killing quest when the game was active so I very much got denied the academy version.
@@chadmann2724 Actually the reason it was so hard was because CN Games team didn’t know how to properly respawn mobs. So those Soulo shells only spawned once and that was it until the next server/shard restart.

It's not that the Player was sent into the Future on purpose, they got thrown there because of Deedee messing with the time machine. Yeah them going to save the Future wasn't a 'logical' move... because it was an accident.

Not only did I play this in 2009 when it required the subscription cards, I also played Pirates of the Burning Seas which took 72 solid hours to download the game which totaled to around 14 Gigabytes in size. If only you could see my face drop when I saw the time remaining estimate.

Man, the graphics were much cooler when I was a kid.. I remember when my level 36 character, the name was like "Cookie Nicky Gravitas" or something, got stuck below the elevators in the town for the power puff girls.
