Court holds $400,000 bail posted for Sissonville couple, under review for child trafficking relation

  • A West Virginia circuit court judge ruled Thursday that the $400,000 a Sissonville couple used to post bond in a child trafficking case be put in custody of the court after prosecutors expressed concerns that the funds were obtained illegally.
    The ruling came during a hearing for a recent court filing by Kanawha County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Krivonyak over concerns that Donald Ray Lantz, 63, and Jeanne Kay Whitefeather, 62, used funds obtained from child trafficking to post their bonds in February.
