  • this is my 2023 GSX-S1000 GT Plus making the start up rattle.
I took it to the dealer's service department. they would NOT look at at.
the mechanic said he was too backed up and it would be about 3 months before he could even look at it. I had him listen to it and watch the short video on the grinding sound.

I hear Kaw's have similar issues. I was looking at a Ninja 1000SX. everyone is making cheap bikes and selling them for high prices.

not even close. the dealer's service manager/mechanic doesn't have time to look at it. he said it will be about 3 months before he can even get to look at it. he didn't say it was bad, but he didn't say it was good, he just said don't ride it if possible until he could look at it. $16,000 for a bike I can't ride until he can find time to fit me in??? FUCK THAT. I'm going to try using 20-W50 motor oil and see if that helps.

ugh, such a bummer. These were supposed to be the next great bike. I wish you a speedy resolution. Explore all options because the clock is ticking on the warranty. thanks for posting

@@Mosrmosr993 my warranty expires at the end of January. They won't look at it for 3 months... Nov., Dec., Jan... ummmm, you think they did this on purpose.

I really want you to keep us updated related to 20w50 oil. I was planning to switch from V-Strom 650 to GSX-S1000GT, now not so much anymore, seems that Ninja1000SX has some problems too :(@@redhytech

@@redhytechyou would still get it fixed under warranty if it went to court. I have the same bike but it doesn’t sound half as bad😮

Heard nothing out of the ordinary on warm start and of course nothing off on cold start.
