In general the first time user of Scorpio commit the mistake, my friend travelled with me in my Mahindra Xylo car and did the same mistake, he took a sharp over take without reducing the speed of the vehicle, because he is owning a Honda City car, he is habituated of sharp over takes with high speed. I immediately taken the control of my xylo car and said a big thanks to the God.
For SUV like scorpio...centre of mass and centre of gravity is very high. So it will topple easily. Also 7 to 9 people weighing 600 kg also sitting above a height of 4 feet. So such SUVs, will fall easily. This is the physics behind it.

While turning a 2w could be slanted and kept in balance. ( like how they bring down race bike). But same cannot be done in 4w. So speed should be reduced in turns. It is called as centrifugal force. You should not forget that while turning this centrifugal force will push the 4w out. So speed should be reduced. But race 2w can be slanted to cancel this force, race bikes can go fast in turning. SuVs cannot bend so speed should be slow.
I owned Scorpio high end 2010, I used to drive it like a two wheeler but never made an accident. I am a 5.5ft guy but when I sit in this vehicle i feel like a king. Now if you ask me it is better to drive safe. Be cautious about the surrounding vehicles. Scorpio pushes you to drive rashly but please avoid it.

A very useful video. I have so far driven only sedans, SUVs and hatchbacks with monocoque body. But, I have never driven any SUVs built on ladder on frames. In future, I'll take into account your caution while driving SUVs built with body on ladder and drive carefully. Thank you for the info.
Lower the ground clearance means higher the stability with ride and handling, less body roll, body on frame suv is meant for little off track, pitter and patter undulated roads. Smooth roads and highways you have drive very carefully.
2w or 4w, Next point never brake while turning. Only luxury cars with traction control can handle braking while turning. Braking while turning will make the vehicle wobble like snake, fall and roll easily. Always reduce speed before turning.

A very useful video. I have so far driven only sedans, SUVs and hatchbacks with monocoque body. But, I have never driven any SUVs built on ladder on frames. In future, I'll take into account your caution while driving SUVs built with body on ladder and drive carefully. Thank you for the info.

Lower the ground clearance means higher the stability with ride and handling, less body roll, body on frame suv is meant for little off track, pitter and patter undulated roads. Smooth roads and highways you have drive very carefully.

2w or 4w, Next point never brake while turning. Only luxury cars with traction control can handle braking while turning. Braking while turning will make the vehicle wobble like snake, fall and roll easily. Always reduce speed before turning.
