I love how syncing the commentary from a different view gives the illusion of total indifference and nonchalance about a car somersaulting over the barrier 😅
Tony Schumacher's crash was SCARY, not only a good amount of people were running for their lives, but the way the cockpit was rolling like a ball of paper
Took me a few watches in full slow motion but the part spinning high up in the air is the engine. It sorta swaps with the cockpit which stays lower down.
@@RunningOn7CylindersYT How often are cars made with fiber glass in various racing series? I was unaware of it but it makes a lot of sense now that you have made me aware.

Belcher's crash at 6:22 didn't keep him off the grid at Oulton, it was in fact an off-track fall on his bicycle between both races that led to him missing the race.

is you talking about the Gualter Salles crash at Buenos Aires? this happened in 2006 in a Brazilian StockCar V8 visit to Argentina and is easy to found on youtube..
I witnessed first hand Damian Flack's enormous crash at Bathurst in 2015, I even know a man who lived nearby where the car came to rest. If by chance you want to use the raw footage I captured, it's one of the first uploads I made on RUclips
Pietro Delli Guanti vaulted the fence a week before Zhou, during a FRECA race at Zandvoort. I bet the officials will be looking at that barrier before the Dutch GP. My personal fave is Patrick Carpentier at Laguna Seca 2000, for its sheer elegance.
@@riverdelta7052 Yeah watched it here on YT as well. These days they don't show replays of important moments in a race because the driver might have sprained their toe......thankfully someone filmed it from the pit straight so we can understand what happened.
@@donathandorko Some might call it morbid but there's definitely a part of me which remains unsatisfied whenever a major incident isn't caught on video lol
@@riverdelta7052 I understand exactly what you mean. Lets face it, this sport is dangerous, and for me, a big crash is spectacular, especially when the smoke clears, and the driver emerges unscathed. That is to say that the things that made something great are being sacrificed for something that will make it drab. @@donathandorko I don't think the fact that there was no replay has anything to do with not wanting to show a severe crash. Whenever the cameras catch a big crash they'll show the replay as soon as they know the driver is fine or fine-ish. In this case I'd guess the cameras just somehow missed it and thus there was nothing to show in the broadcast/stream. If everybody is fine, they will show a replay if there is footage to show.
Yes. Hes had a couple scary accidents in top fuel, lucky guy. Both at the same track, and both the same exact right lane runs. Must have had some voodoo in Memphis.
The large peice of debris we see flying above the midway point on the screen was the engine, and the one beneath that is the driver's pod. He never got above five feet in altitude after colliding with the wall based on what I could see.
The worst are Zhou and the Mini driver in Australia. What sort of ~d~ot designs a high speed section heading directly towards spectators? So what if it's a braking zone, sometimes cars don't or can't brake. The two at Thruxton are tolerable because though the tire wall is gone, nobody's going to get hurt out there.
You really used the best available angles for that Zhou Crash

@Piotr Dziadul I believe he did. I doubt they'd feature that crash if it was a fatal crash
Jesus that Mini crash was terrifying when you see the crowd.
Eesh…
Luckily no serious injuries, somehow.
The Yuki Iwasaki one is amazing: no barrier can be impenetrable, but good ones can slow the car down enough to avoid a horrific outcome.
If a barrier was impenetrable, hitting it at high speeds means you would probably be dead
4:06 now that, that is terrifying
That ARCA crash is still one of the most amazing things I've seen
Same. I was watching live and was cringing with every muscle waiting for him to ricochet off of that Armco
@@cashkenterprises5584 yeah, surprisingly he was lucky to jump over that barrier. It would’ve been a terrible hit.
How Schumacher wasn’t killed by the pure centrifugal forces in that crash never fails to amaze me

I didn't know Michael Schumacher had a long lost drag racing brother.
4:05 nearly a 1955 Le Mans situation there
3:20 What a Chad move. Not just getting out in seconds but also keeping a (mostly) straight line after so many flips.
Yeah wth
That second crash made my jaw drop. Seeing a car come apart like that is so shocking but even more shocking that he lived.
The whole body is made of fiberglass so most rollovers they shed like a snake but that underbody and roll cage is incredibly safe

The Buster Graham one is the most MINOR "over the wall" crash you could get.
I thank God every time I see that Canto's car didn't manage to launch into the spectator fence, or that marshals post.
For Part 3 you could use an ARCA crash at Watkins Glen when a massive pileup caused a car to vault over the guardrail
Wow dude, I appreciate how you stitched together the Zhou-angles

Thruxton is like: yeah, let's put a tire dump between the grass and the trees, that will hold em from crashing into the woods.
