    Greg Lemond (and later Chris Boardman) are my inspirations and why I became a racer/cyclist. Total legend.

      Chris is a super nice guy. I worked with him for a full day at an Amgen Tour time trial, and he was as normal as pumpkin pie. I’ve worked with some ex-pros who aren’t. Every interaction I’ve had with Greg has been wonderful. Frankie is another great example.

      You can’t compare Greg Lemond with Boardman.

    NO BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS in the mid 80s. what. modern blood transfusions have been around since ww2. this guy I tell ya.

    • @MrCycledad
      @MrCycledad 4 года назад +1

      Cypriano if you listen he says they didn’t have them because the HIV scare was at its peak and a lot of blood was HIV positive.

      @@MrCycledad your own blood not other peoples blood. Hey the american olympic cycling under the guidance of easteen block " trained" eddy boriewicks, used homologous transfusions in 84. Hey he was lemonds firts real coach too!!! Transfusions have been part of cycling for a long time, like ive said the full story has yet to be written. " in stepped blood" in cycling news, look it up extremely interresting

      @@cypriano8763 Eddie B trained LeMond for '80 Olympics which was boycotted by USA. Eddie wanted Greg to stay, but Greg went pro, signed for Renault and moved to Brittany, France where he had little to no support. As you said, blood doping was introduced in USA for '84 Olympics. The timeline doesnt quite add up

    • @cypriano8763

      @@srivaddadi1 you know what point im making here. eddy b was an eastern block train doping coach hired by us olympic cycling to compete with the communists, ei, doping. lets not mince words here, that why he was brought on board. funny that lemonds first real coach was such a man.
      i would bet he taught greg a thing or 2 on how to, lets say use testosterone, cortizone, salbutemol, hgh and what performance advantages could be had by storing one own blood, under medical supervision of course.
      mmm ceril guimard and team renault, being the no1 team in the world at the time, would know nothing about such methods. wich where all legal, undetectable and untested for in the late 70s early 80s. look up all of the renault riders from that period in DOPEOLOGIE, every single one, but greg lemond, have doping implications. greg was trained by a doping coach and hired by a doping team in europe.
      i know many would love to believe in the fantasy of a rider being able to win clean in the 80s but knowing what we know now, the different admitions , the availability of the different peds, it seams more than unlikely, its impossible. in my opinion, if greg is lying, and most likely is, hes the greatest fraud in cycling history.

    20 minutes is all I can stand! I thought maybe Matt could steer away from the same old bullshit Lemonds been peddling ( true or not) forever but the man’s got nothing but sour grapes to offer. He’s not even remotely able to talk about all the people that helped him achieve HIS goals, I feel sorriest for his poor wife! She must be well medicated to live with him all these years?
