Its weird. This season felt bad to me. Aside from the loot, I didn't much like it. The pacing was stilted, the story was awkward and unsatisfying, and the activities were ok. But unlike another bad season, Plunder, I can't get that angry, or really feel anything about it. I just feel apathetic. Not angry, not frustrated, not disappointed, not sad. It just is what it is. And the game will probably make a comeback which I will play. But then there will be a sharp decline in quality again. And maybe that will be the last one, before this whole IP is old yellered. Well depends on the profitability of Marathon.
See, here's my problem with the exotic mission. The first couple runs I finished, I really loved it. I'd go as far as to say it was my favorite. I really liked not being timed so I can actually take my time and think about what I'm doing. When I stopped enjoying it was after run #30. I had to do this mission over and over and over again, sometimes back to back, just to catch up with the campaign! I'm tired of doing it! Oh, and also the part that stops you dead in your tracks just to make you listen to exposition. Either stop putting these long-ass expositions in the game, or give us a skip dialogue option!
God absolutely F U C K the Cabal activity in Breach. I’ve seen people complain all about the getting mauled by the Vex and Void damage, but no one ever mentions just how absolutely fucking awful the Cabal part is. I almost wanna quit (and have) and re-queue any time I see the diamond waypoint in the far part of the map, only to load up again, and see the diamond waypoint is right back to where it was 💀
The season wasn't as bad as Plunder but it wasn't as good as Haunted. Echoes had a great potential but it did not lived up to the expectations specially coming from of The Final Shape campaign (somewhat) hype. The story didn't clicked as much as other seasons but at least we got the best lineup of seasonal weapons ever, hands down. I'd say the way the season delivered its content aka the episodes model negatively impacted the whole feel and depth of Echoes. Not memorable enough in my opinion.
Idk why people like haunted, the missions were somewhat okay and then the most monotonous public event activity and they’ll never learn that public event activities will never go good. Completely reused spaces literally nothing new, weapons were so mid with only a few standouts. (Beloved, calus mini, drang) this season was so much better than haunted it just had the unfortunate timing of being called an episode to change the dynamic of seasonal content
I think echos was a great episode, the content was more than seasons and the weapons were great. I loved getting the specimens and the collecting, however the story blew chunks
This has to be the easiest title of all time, like I never collect titles when I do seasons. Like I do what I got to do to just finish the quest and the patterns but that’s it. This time around I some how finished the title which shows how incredibly ez it is to get 😂

The entire final shape story minus the 3 last missions + excision was not good
the weapons were excellent, but the story was doodoo
