Man, I still remember watching this when it aired on TV back in 1990 when I was a teenager, I had this show recorded on a a crappy Betamax tape back then. How I absolutely loved how the women looked back then, with the beautiful big hair and revealing sexy outfits. I used to watch this video over & over on that Betamax tape just to watch all the gorgeous models that Alice Cooper had on stage with him. Goddamn, they don't make em' like they used to, both music & women.

That´s correct buddy. I guess all the teenagers from the 80´s / 90´s will remember this presentation for the rest of our lives ... Cheers from Brazil (Y) .

Wow, we had a Betamax recorder too, later we got a VHS one which was standard. Back then I thought I'd recorded this and searched in vain for it. Glad to find it here finally.

Same feeling as you, but these days women are better.

@@alinmateescu1221 Today's women look younger at the same given age compared to past women. Not sure if that's better, because it definitely makes me feel older.

To all those saying he's out of breath and can't hit a note: He was really sick at the time, bronchitis if I remember correctly so that's why. If you listen to any other Live performance, be it from the 80s, 90s or today, he'll sound much better.

Yep, that'd exactly what it sounds like. The fact he even performed is metal af...won't see that these days!

I remember watching this live on television when I was senior on high school. In fact I'm sure I still have it tucked away on a VHS tape somewhere. It was a little disheartening for me because I thought he seemed out of breath with the backing vocals overpowering his own. Of course I was eighteen at the time and thought anyone over 40 was an old guy. :)

I also remember watching this on TV when I was a teenager. I used to have this recorded on VHS tape as well. I doubt I still have it, probably got recorded over as the years went on. I used to watch the shit out of it when I was a teenager growing up. I wish I kept every single music video performance I ever recorded from the 80's up to & including the year 1990. Back then I didn't know how precious & valuable those music moments would be later on as music changed for the worst, which even to this day has not gotten much better.

He was playing to the album backing track. Those guys were his live band but were totally miming while he was actually performing. To my knowledge none of that band actually played on the song itself, they were hired after the trash album was recorded. For example, the bassist here is a guy called Tommy T-Bone Caradonna, but he's miming to a bass line that is not him playing, its actually Hugh McDonald who's been Bon Jovi's "unofficial" Bassist since 1995.

This is a perfect example of having a backing track with a live microphone. It seems he was only planning to sing live on the verses and just mime along during the chorus. Someone forgot to turn off Alice's mic during those parts!

I remember seeing this when it aired. Alice was so out of breath and hoarse, I figured his career was almost over at that point. Who knew he could milk another 30 years out of it?

Alice had a cold during that time and was singing to a backing track which is something he doesn't do (that was the standard back then on Awards shows)
