NO!!! Shit, I'm only @ 2:00 and had to stop to tell you NO MAACO for the vette. They use AE (acrylic enamel) and you can't think of that for any vette. WB Mike is more than capable of that repair and no one would tell.
Randy, thanks for all the links to your buddies The 'WRENCH' and WB. Love them all and you too! Sonny (CT)
Weird Beard should be an expert on C6 fiberglass repair.
Goonsquad too, they just fiberglassed a diffusor ^^
No MAACO for the C6, Weird Beard will fix it and paint it right.
hay just saying i wouldnt call it a trailer i would call it a car dolly just saying keep up the great work
Audio was fine. Good job on drive shaft! DO NOT take the Corvette to Maaco!!!! Talk to Weird Beard please! Amazed by all the content. It has to be wearing you out! But thats what makes your channel so great!
tow dollys are very easy to steal ...like you said move it by hand light etc.... hope you dont get it stolen .... keep up the good vids
He said he will be stowing it in the garage.
hello DOLLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REMEBER the TRAILER FIASCO
My daughter lived in Broken Arrow while attending law school. I found the people in Tulsa very friendly and down to Earth. You seem to be a great person Randy, good luck with your future builds, keep those great videos coming.
That's a nice tow dolly. I used one similar to tow truck a truck from Florida to Maryland straight shot 85 plus mph the whole time basically, no problems at all
Audio is good and that trailer is probably all you really need for towing
Randy I’m begging you to not get rid of that truck it’s so beautiful I love silver on that style F-250, it’s just so perfect I hate to see it get in someone’s hands thats going to trash it
Speak for your self buddy. Not everyone treats their cars like shit.
I see the comments all the time from people on here and randy. And honestly in my honest opinion, these people are so negative towards you, yes sometimes you go way about your way on things especially over spending. Yes you put things on cars you dont need to. But regardless who cares right? Those parts were old anyways, if you had the nee part there might as well replace it. I dont see why people get so upset over this stuff. And some people are already talking smack about your dolly. It's a good trailer for what you'll need it. You saw it and you paid the asking price and there isnt nothing wrong with that. For 1k that trailer will pay for itself quick. But best of wishes randy, I'll keep watching your vids!
Thank you Luis! I appreciate the positivity man!
I know exactly what u mean about the corvette. I still can’t buy my success car yet but until then I work hard for everything I have. I’d hate selling my 98 ram in the same way. I built my first business with it. It made me who I am. I might be worth 3,000 but I can’t ever sell it
Fiberglassing is easy, sanding and making it smooth and fit the curves afterwards is the real skill
I have a Full King Ranch Interior that will fit Perfect in that Old Truck.
I hope he sees this, itll be great content
You say it wasn't hard well it looks like Tim did all the work and I've gone to tj's auto and there's not much there
Carrier bearing was bad and judging by the symptoms you spoke of, you had a U-joint that was on its way out. While they may not "feel" bad, they can vibrate and make a growling noise due to the needle bearings in the cross caps going out. A balance weight falling off the driveshaft can also cause vibration as that throws the shaft out of balance. Also, for safety reasons, you might not want to have your license plate number clearly visible on these videos. Be sure to keep that tow dolly in the garage when not in use. Those are easy to make off with.
Randy the only thing left to do to your F-250 is to take it to a dentless shop to fix all those small dents and should look in pristine condition.
I had the same problem with the truck that I have they wanted $1,500 for new driveshaft so I had a one piece driveshaft made increase my gas mileage and made the truck run a lot smoother and it ended up costing me $700 for the drive shaft instead of $1,500
Way to go Randy. As far as I'm concerned you can"t pump the videos out fast enough. I enjoy your channel that much.
Not a bad little Dolly. Just make sure to check between the deck and frame where it swivels to make sure it's greased. Kinda like a 5th wheel on a rig. Keep up the good work Randy
That truck looking fine!
I'm going to tell you from experience of owing a towdolly.. most cars won't go on the trailer flawless because it sits too low on the ground... keep yourself a couple of 2x4 boards on deck just in case you run into that problem of loading the car and I really think that you made a great decision on investing in one..👍👍
My 2000 f250 came with the 4 and 7 pin wiring connections.
Love it when a plan comes together
Hi Randy. Nice score on the dolly. Mike (Beard) with the vette? Love the big Ford. 350,000 on stock joints tells a story. Thats why i love Fords. But what do i know, ive only been certified wrench for 40 yrs. Ive rebuilt many drive shafts. Rev.
Car dollies are nice for front wheel drive cars . But if you pull rear wheel drive vehicles you have to disconnect the drive shaft so you don’t blow the pump out of the transmission.. good luck.
Not knowing how much the drive shaft cost you, you may have said but I missed it, I think I would of replaced the carrier bearing and u-joins before the whole drive shaft depending on cost. Enjoyed the video.
Randy, love your thoughts on using a car dolly. Have used one for years behind both previous trucks and now my motor home. I’ve hauled numerous cars all the way across the U.S. and back. Beware of the both the appropriate tie downs for the different wheels and the ramps (be they inbuilt or removable). They all have a little stigma of variety. Also don’t get comfortable thinking the dolly is safe. Ever! I had one stolen out of my driveway in the middle of the night. It may seem funny but it took me the better art of the day to realize it was gone because I was between uses. At any rate recovery was impossible as tracing it is quite different than with a car. We had to purchase another to replace it. Like yourself with your previous trailer issues, I got a little careless about the vulnerability of the trailer. Adding a simple lock to the tongue hinge can reduce the potential for theft but permanent locks for storage that include wheels, frame or disabling of some sort are easy enough to thwart the efforts of most opportunistic thieves. Like your work. Blessings, Bruce
u should get the frame sanded and coated on the superduty it look nice and protected
It will pay off with the Ford keep up with the good work
Did you check the u-joints, a lot of the times, it's the u-joints that go out before the drive shafts
Slip yoke shot.. and the carrier bearing. Those trucks are well known for this..
Spicer u joints and a new slip yoke and bearing would be money better spent than buying a whole new dorman driveshaft, maybe itll be fine but most towns have local shops that can rebuild the thing cheap too... I know it's no fun chasing all over town much easier to click buy it now....
Old truck = loads of money in repairs til its sorted
New truck = loads of cash in payments, once it's paid for, you start the loads of money in repairs to sort it...
Ill take the old truck every time..
Financial education, just now learning at 38, sad what school doesn't teach us...
The truck has a trail package but you need to put a brake controller on it. Ha e to find the wires under the dash to connect it.
I always change first the rubber center support but you already has the whole driveshaft replacement so do the all change.
Great video and sound was good love the channel
Center bearing on ya tailshaft was rooted ya can buy them separately instead of replacing the entire tail shaft a hell of a lot cheeper just not as easy to do but manageable, another great vid keep up the great work both on the cars n your project house ,you should bring your brother in on your channel with ya scrap his you do the talking he can do the work as you do anyways
Keep the drive shaft greased. Did you give a shot of grease on each universal joint after installing it? while your at it grease your front end parts ball joints tie rods.
A quick question for you: What brand fender flares do you have on your Ford pick up? Thanks
It's a car dolly and looks like a pretty good one, at least you'll know when you pull your 1st one with it.
Is it easier to own a vette while you’re single, it’s not so easy with wife and kids.
You can use the Duraglass or bondo glass to fix fiberglass bodies.
Randy get Weird Beard to take a look at it I would think he can do it.
Be sure and check the date code on the tires and If there 5 years old or more I wouldn't put it loaded to much. If it needs tires find you a 6 ply tire and put on there. I put the 6 ply on the one I had and it handled the load so much better than the 4 ply's.
Good job! That happened to me whit a 1986 mazda 929! The driveshaft was vibrating!!
Hey Randy what was it you said about the flashing overdrive off light on the shifter?
Brian rom ford tech did a video on the drive axle and bearing
Good work on the truck, man!
The tow dollies that have the tilt bed are to short, making the angle to steep for most vehicles, rubbing or ripping the front bumper cover. I solved the problem by cutting a 2×8 board 10 inches and 18 inches for each side and laying them staggered under the ramps. Oh, and you can't back up with a vehicle on it, so plan ahead when parking.
Maaco does base coat clear coat paint jobs I had them do my 87 Corvette that was faded clear coat and it was 2,000 or so with body work and prep but if you want the special that's single stage scuff and shoot .
Make a video about macco, when honda video is coming out....
Keep the tow dolly in your back yard chained up and covered up, they walk away pretty easily as well. Also put a wheel lock on it as well. .
GREAT Deal on the Master Tow Dolly!!! Go you on Compartmentalism.
Good choice on the car dolly.
Randy great investment on tow dolly
I got two big trailer but like get a Car dolly like you said easy to use you don't due anything too big yet .
The either trailer is for my Skidsteer shorter but very heavy rated .
Audio is great!
Yeah I’d love a C6!
Just though about the trailer what if the car that you put on it is wrecked and it won't move?
The heater button perhaps assemble 😎
Have you ever think about cleaning the turbo next
I would keep the truck if i was you! And yes even though I’m a Ford guy i like the vette! And my dream car is 03 cobra! One day I’ll get one!!
Gosh I love the f250!! looks great glad it drives great! Next should be the seat cover..
Thanks Randy
You might want to
Invest in.a small.bed mount winch. That way if car doesn't run can.pull up.on.the dolly with ease.
What kind of headlights you have and where you got them at
sounds good audio
No! On the maaco for corvette paint. Tbh I'd sell the c6 or the camaro and get out of debt
Glad that fixed it randy, hope the dorman holds up. If there's one brand I've had the most problems with it's dorman
Korium what would be a good brand as far as driveshafts go! I am considering an all aluminum for my 98 k1500 Sierra
@@bizkit81 depends on your price range, jegs HD series are made quite well for the price.
Thats an easy fiberglass repair, but the door will have to be blended, which is also pretty easy.
What happened to the trailer that got stolen when you had your shop. But I remember you found it.
Carey Kennedy he sold it after finding it
Can we see your storm shelter in the garage? I live in Idaho so most people dont have a storm shelter here
ruclips.net/video/LowI0tDSiLo/видео.html
@@colyngautreaux1078 thanks!
Carrier bearing and slip yoke working together will cause shake and clunking
I agree. Let weird beard work his magic with the Corvette. While it’s out there, let him sell it... put the $600/ month into the house/shop project.
Whatever happened to the last trailer?
I remember you got it back
Then that was the last i seen of it
He sold it
What was the price of the drive shaft and do you have a link to their website
Keep the truck! Nothing better to tow with than a 7.3!
Why didn’t u get your black trailer
Do not get rid of the Corvette it is such a great car and it is beautiful
You should have some one that does Dent repair and have the dent on the Ford repair
Used to live near me I love 30 mins from Fayetteville
Don't forget your rear vent visors
If that truck was at auction i would guess its the rear end diff.
Thankfully it was the carrier bearing
I totally understand man about the corvette.
When your brother will work in another car in his channel?
Vibration coming from bad carrier bearing. you didn't need to change the entire driveshaft. A little overkill but, with as many miles as it has you needed u-joints as well. Bring the Corvette to Weird Beard for content.
Pink man it’s good time the year to do it it’s breast-cancer awareness month
See and hear you fine. Randy
Your carrier bearing was bad. 20 to 40 dollars fix. I hope you can use this car dolly. Good luck .
He spent money then he need to fix it. Maybe 80.00 in parts
If the vehicle being towed on that type of trailer is $X$ or rear wheel drive Dont forget to disconnect the rear drive shaft or you will toast your trans after 200 miles.
I love having a car dolly I bought a lot of cars from the police impound auction or Copart
Car Dolly's are not bad but remember when towing a automatic . Hook it up to the rear of Car or pull drive shafts I believe if you tow for a distance the fluid in the trans is not pumping it not good on the Clutches of trans . I see if ok with the newer trans hate to damage a automatic . Plus get the magnetic lights that you plug in and put on back of Vechicle you get . harbor freight got cheap one the magnet may not be glued on to well they pulled off on me before .
After shop done then I get a bigger trailer try different auction houses they sell some used at a good price . Different biding type of equipment .
Now you just need a F Tree Fitty to supplement the F 2 Nifty
@Curtis Fleabag I'm not even a Ford guy and I agree
Sounds like its an issue with your u joint bearing for the driveshaft thats going out, with the vibrations only happening in a certain range.
This might be a stupid question but why did you get rid of the other trailer you had? Now you go out and buy another one.
Nice fix on drive shaft. I like your dolly. Dont put down you owning a C6. It's a nice car. Ask Mike it he could do your repair or ask him to recommend someone. I too dont think Maaco is the right place. If have not already change your rear diff lube. If posi remember additive.
We want more videos
Good video
Lol yes dude that shotty center support bearing will most deff cause your issues
Good video!!
i been wondering for a year now why you don't have a tow dolly .
You should have taken the driveline to a shop for a rebuild.
