I have blue willow by Johnson Brothers and some blue and white ironstone. I have been collecting the blue and white for 30 years. I love the blue and white. You will really enjoy them.
Love blue and white dishes, vases, etc!!! My kitchen is in blue and white. I notice that a lot of you tube sellers pass right by blue and white plates in Goodwill! Blue willow is my favorite.
Paint the rail too. I love the muted blue and white plates with the Scottish loch and highlands, very nostalgic! I collect the pink and white transfer ware (and a one off black and white which is a jug, it was too much of a bargain). Sending strength to you and your family!
I love china plates under plants. I would use a variety of plain ironstone in the dining room if you choose to. Maybe a set of two or three shelves would be less nails and you could still display several pieces. I like the blue plates displayed in breakfast nook. The wall collage would be stunning
I like the paint color, and I think painting the trim is a good idea. I love blue and white dishes also. I like the way you scattered them around the house.
Paint all trim the same color as the wall. Let the mural speak for itself. Don’t hang the blue plates. brass compliments the mural it doesn’t fight it.
Hi Melissa my family says I have a sixth sense. I thought about reaching out to you on a video to see if everything was ok. I am so sorry for what your family is going through. I will pray for your brother-in-law and your family. I have missed my dad this month, even though he has beem gone a long while. I was in our old dirt floored basement and saw the wedding china my dad bought us in an old dirty plastic cart. It is blue and white, but a fancier style with a gold rim that I have never cared that much about. I washed and dried them and put them in an old white cabinet with a string of lights and all of a sudden I thought they were beautiful. We were at a 1.7 million dollar home weekend before last for an estate sale..they were selling the home, barn and acreage. Honestly, I thought we have way prettier things but they did have sets of blue and white plates...all different patterns. I had never seen some of them. One was most unusual. One set they were selling the plates for ninety nine cents each and it was half price day so it would be less than fifty cents for any size. When I got home I wished I would have at least picked up a few. I have so many sets and my minamalist family members remind me all the time that I have lots of collections. I liked what you said about homemaking. We love beautiful things and I think it creates a sense of warmth and love. I am glad to hear the story behind the wall paper. I think it is beautiful just the way it is without anything on it. Take care of yourself Melissa. ❤❤❤❤
I think you need a few more plates of larger proportion. Maybe a platter and a couple larger plates. Fill in with the smaller size. Also, maybe change out that light switch cover to an antique brass to help it blend in.
I love that paint color with the wallpaper. I would paint the trim as well. I like the way it transitions to the wallpaper much better than the drastic change to white and then the wallpaper. I'm sorry to hear about the bad news. Prayers for you and your family.
This is my first time watching you, and I am so sorry for what your family is going through. I can totally relate to what you’re feeling. I have two channels and loss my oldest son to a motorcycle accident last year. He was in the hospital for 8 months and I was really praying he would come through. Videos didn’t make sense at the time. But I needed to make content for my mental health and also the little money helped me since I had to stop working to care for him in the hospital. It wasn’t much. But it helped. I wanted to cry with you. I know how you all are feeling and again, I’m so sorry. My prayers are with you and your love ones. ❤

My favorite colors are the teal and the purple ones. I know those colors are hard to find🥴 Ohhh goodness I've been looking for a brass rocking horse! I haven't had any luck, i got the milk glass one and hopefully I'll eventually find the brass one. They'd be so cute styled together😊 Ahhh our love for quilts, beautiful❤ I loved the cross stitch piece of the barn! I love old barns.. lol and they're everywhere here😊 You really found the blue & whites! The old country roses are very pretty! Laura really is so pretty & very photogentic! Honey I feel you! My BIL was diagnosed with a severe case of MS last year and went down hill really fast. We lost him week before last, 40yrs old with 2 little girls ages 6 & 4. He was A twin himself, his twin and my MIL are really having a tough time. Its just so hard when our loved ones go thru these things & leave us so suddenly. I love that wallpaper, its amazing!!❤ I like the green wall underneath too! That pattern you like on the dishes really is very pretty, and its almost got a slight scallop edge! The ones from Karm are really pretty too. Wow..i would have been very frustrated with the hanger deal at Lowes! If you mix the smaller ones with larger ones or the way you laid it out on the table its going to be pretty! I love the paint color!! I like the chair rail in the green too. Ohhh I love the chair!! I love collecting little side chairs and dining chairs to sit in corners for decor and your French chairs are gorgeous❤ Love that little space too! My daughter has A shamrock plant, so cute! The plates look cute under the plants! My mom used plates under her house plants too. I think empty ornate gold frames would be pretty on the wallpaper. That's so neat you have your moms table! Also electric covers need to be color of area it is in. Either covered in wallpaper or paint. Our decorating is similar. I also love blue and white. Do use it lot and have a lot. I use it with red. Well not red red. Did a bedroom for friend --red walls blue and white toile drapes dust ruffle ,etc and wall of plates. Everyone loves it!
The first are all blue Willow. I have a huge collection of Japanese Blue Willow. Love the Lochs of Scotland. We drove from West Tennessee to East Ridge shops in Chattanooga as well as an estate sale a few weeks ago. Busted my budget big time.

I think your house looks lovely. 😃 How about hanging 3 of the Lochs of Scotland side plates above the door, where the (wonderful) wallpaper is less patterned and therefore easier to patch if necessary? I had the dishes with the ship on them. I got them in the seventies at Kroger. Every week you got a different piece when you spent a certain amount on groceries. I wish I still had them.

fell and badly tore rotator cuff and hurt back and forearm this past monday. mri and surgery this week. i would keep the wall paper as is. gorgeous. maybe add white ironstone collection or milk glass on dr buffet! i am so sad about your brother in--law.

I am looking for either Johnson Brothers - Harvest Time Brown multicolor, Or Currier and Ives Green/Brown or the multi color - The Old Mill. My new house does not lend to Blue and White any longer. I'm also having to replace the cut glass pieces that I also had to get rid of. So I am doing clear, green and I am to inherit the Red Ruby ware that my mom had. Those all go well with the house. If you are looking to paint below the wallpaper, a pale gold, tan, or cream would go well. The green you currently have is a good color as well,
First, so sorry for the family sickness but I think if you had a small shelf then the plates would stand out more from the busy wallpaper. The paint color is beautiful but leave the chair rails white.

I have had such bad experiences with Lowes locally in the desert I would rather not have something than go into horrendous customer service by #Lowes. I will not change my mind about the fact that Lowes has not yet taught its employees to provide anything remotely close to customer service Leave alone Good customer service And then forgetting Lowes and employees are NADA ZILCH Zero set Nill Without the customer!!!!! This I have experienced repeatedly over 8 years, so yes I am not saying this aloud frivolously As far as the plates I think a pale blue with painting the bottom 1/2 is cream, grey or a blue would look beautiful. Thats me I grew up loving English cottage style
I would paint the chair rail. Since you like the wall paper why don’t you paint one wall over the wall paper and hang the plates on the solid wall? Just my opinion.
7:05 everyone is collecting the blue and white. I am collecting blue and white, goodwill had the small plates for 2 each and small bowels 2 each. And I got 2 weeks ago 5 pieces for 3.99. It’s crazy.

Use a wood shelf unit to hang the blue and white plates. Putting the plates on wallpaper is not doing it justice!

I would paint the chair rail. Since you like the wall paper why don’t you paint one wall over the wall paper and hang the plates on the solid wall? Just my opinion.
Because you are going to have white in the blue and white plates I would leave the chair rail white.
Or put them on the sides of the windows?

7:05 everyone is collecting the blue and white. I am collecting blue and white, goodwill had the small plates for 2 each and small bowels 2 each. And I got 2 weeks ago 5 pieces for 3.99. It’s crazy.
