  • Johnny Sack plans a unsanctioned hit on Ralph Cifaretto for making a joke about Ginny. In this scene, he catches Ginny eating junk and Ralph almost gets whacked. Also apologies about the sound, it's a little out of sync.

I think the line was put there to make us, the audience, suspect that someone else (a man) had come in through the door. The whole scene is setup like he's about to catch his wife cheating with another man, while instead she was cheating in a different way. Instead, when you realize what she's actually doing, you realize that she just didn't lock the door cause she wanted to get right to the snacking.

You don't make a joke about a made guy's wife in the mob, an insult to a made guy's wife is an insult to the guy himself. Johnny said Ralph 'violated' his wife's honor. ***** Dude, the hitman was about to kill Ralph. Ginny got caught too early. If only Ginny didn't get caught, Ralph would've died, then Johnny Sack would've died, and Carmine could've made Little Carmine the new underboss (making it harder for Phil to become boss). It would actually be more beneficial if the Asian dude dropped Ralph before Johnny caught Ginny snacking.

It was never even a pride thing, he loved his wife and was proud of her as she was, it was her feelings he was concerned about and he didn't like her efforts being mocked. But here we find she wasn't really putting out that effort.
