This is exactly what I want. I game the z785 currently and love them but they are lower spinning irons. Love that these MKII are higher spinning. Can't wait for my fitting.
ZX7s are one of the better feeling irons on the market. Aesthetically the 2023 doesnt look any more appealing to me. Not to say it is a bad looking iron. Id defintely consider gaming it.
I have the original Z785's still. Been loving them the past few years, but thinking of getting the new mark ii zx7. I do love that mine seem to launch low and spin low as I am a high spin player. How do you think the z785s compare? Like the mark I or mark II spin wise. thanks
I don’t think there was massive differences in the last 3 models. The 785 were an amazing iron but I did like the feel and flight of the zx7 a little better.
I'm looking for a lower spin set of irons, my current spin is ~7800 on a 620mb 7 iron. Should I go for the original ZX7? Doesn't seem to be much difference
The new zx7 is also very low spin. With more testing, the numbers came out identical to each other. This was only a very small sample size. Thanks for watching.
i went fitting shop for the best stock shafted irons last september. i had awesome results on ZX7. do you think the newer version will still be my best option with the same shaft?
Very nice video and comparison. I wanted to know ur views on which is the best club in terms of forgiveness for hitting thin. I am a 11 handicapper and tend to hit my irons from the bottom groves.
I suppose with that in mind, the more forgiving, the better for you. Something with a wider sole may provide the forgiveness on this shots hit lower on the face. I’d look at the ZX5 rather than the ZX7.
I'm about an 11 and I love my ZX7/ZX5 combo. Extremely forgiving and gives me a lot of confidence at address. My ball striking is not exceptional. I found T100 and Mizuno Pro 225 not forgiving but I loved the Mizuno 921 Forged.
I agree with most of the other commenters….I’ve played the zx7 for the last two years, and have found that they are a little too low spin for the segment (better player irons) they’re in. Was that the MMT shaft you tested them with?
@@LilGhettoBtchsThatQweef i get a lot of spin out of my zx7. They just climb and climb, and land at a very steep angle. My swing speed on my 8 iron is around 100-102 mph, so maybe that helps a bit.
Interesting, i play the ZX 7 irons and could use a little more spin probably. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the new ZX drivers? Apparently the mark 2 is very good but can only find one review strange?
So the question remains - is it worth the upgrade from the original to the MK2 version??? I absolutely love my ZX7 but the faces are starting to show signs of wear - maybe the little push I need to make the upgrade🤔
Looks a little better, plus I believe they needed a little more spin since a lot of the you tube reviews from the original said they were spin killers lol
The original zx7 were definitely spin killers. That’s why I love mine. Some people will definitely benefit from a little more spin which can be more consistent in flight too.
@@SydneyGolfTech thanks, love my zx7 just wish they would take a little off the top line. If they could mill it just to make it look smaller even, it would be the best iron on the market
Very interesting video. Nice content. I hit zx7 mk2 in a fitting last week. Great feel when pured, tight dispersion but I also got strangely low efficiency numbers. Anyone else? Or thoughts to why?
I’d say that is either a contact issue or you were in the wrong shaft. Wouldn’t be the head unless you were comparing it to some irons with really strong lofts.
I loved the zx7 but the vsole killed me as I’m too shallow and they just heel dig and cause a closed face , if they offered a standard sole option I would of never gotten rid of them … they are bloody rockets
@@SydneyGolfTech it’s the heel relief in the sole for whatever reason , I struggled long term and had to go back to titleist as their sole just has always been the best for turf interaction for me

Aesthetics are definitely a personal thing. 😃
Love my ZX7s, looking forward to the new drivers. When will you have a video about the drivers?
I’m not sure to be honest. It’s on our radar though.
As a high spin player I absolutely love my Mk1 zx7. Especially with kbs c taper shafts. Best irons I’ve used so far. The feel is second to none.
