    Are young Singaporeans being priced out of the housing market?
    Housing is a fundamental need in Singapore. Why are foreigners, including new citizens, allowed to purchase flats at skyrocketing prices, driving up costs and making it increasingly difficult for locals to afford their own homes?

    • @s._3560
      @s._3560 21 час назад

      And the unchecked proliferation of dodgy massage centres, bars and freelancing foreign prostitutes (advertised on social media) in every local neighbourhoods, transient nature of the population coupled with highest living expenditure, stressful long working hours, cut-throat competition from across the world in skills & wages are stress factors that's driving our young men & women to not want to marry or form a family. People naturally procreate and raise up children when they feel happy, secure and safe.

    • @peterparker-sp4nk
      @peterparker-sp4nk 16 часов назад +1

      EXACTLYYYYY 🤣
      why didn’t they talk or even raise this huge concern in parliamentary on this when it matters the most to young Singaporeans?
      It worries me a lot thinking about it with the influx of foreign people, including new citizens, raising numbers.
      SG is so bloody small yet they allow such people in?
      If the land size of SG is that of our neighbouring countries, I can totally understand in allowing more people and giving away citizenship as and when you like but this is too much really.
      is the government really that blind to see or they simply chose to be ignorant and be blinded with greed and money?

    You increased the GST without taking into account how much prices will increase and cascade to the consumer (10%%, 20%,30%). You give out all these vouchers | payouts that the middle class don't qualify for while increasing prices all over the board.Therefore you are indirectly taxing them.Certainly will vote for opposition.

    • @evoxpress
      @evoxpress 17 часов назад

      CDC is for every household. It does not cascade to all consumers evenly. High income earners consume disproportionately more goods and services and hence will pay more gst. The revenue can be passed to low income earners in the form of subsidies to mitigate the impact

    Don't put blame on inflation, is all about not whole-heartedly taking care of local breed who built up what Singapore is today, foreigners just landed here with their so-called " s " pass holders but are better salaries than local talent worst when they back home will build big landed houses whereas our local sre paying for a unit small and cramped that will not lasts half their tenure will go for enbloc again and our male still have to waste their two precious years on n s and and to further study another few years in order to fight for jobs with foreigners so-called " talent " and our local breed Singaporean whole-life hard-earned stressed n sweat c p f money are not return sooner resulting members have to work till they drop in order to support themselves instead of retiring happily looking after their grandchildren. But our small island population Singapore ministers and president are world highest paid salary despite no natural disaster. Cut ministers and president salaries why small island Singapore our leaders are world highest paid salary. No need talking just return local breed whole-life hard-earned stressed n sweat c p f money sooner, problem solve, we want our own " blood " money, no need c d c vouchers.

    First NTUC supermarket never gives the best food prices. Many of their items are priced really high. Meats especially. You can buy cheaper online or from wholesaler. Though Singapore dollar is stronger than most, we are poorer than some of our ASEAN neighbours , in terms of amount of food, car ownership, house living space etc. Come summer holidays, all these foreigners run back home to WFH, in turn spending their disposable income in their home country e.g. buying big properties etc. Singapore then becomes a ghost town.

    For top leaders, high living expenses are never an issue as they are paid millions and received high increment frequently.
    While the normal citizens only earn meagre income with super low increments (if there is).
    See how many locals has been retrenched? Even our own govt bodies are employing foreigners instead of locals.
    What's the point of giving few hundreds of dollars? What Singaporeans need is a job with decent pay.

    The president, ministers, and top officials need to take a pay cut now! Why should regular people always be the ones suffering while government officials keep their high salaries? Cut the unnecessary spending in the ministries before forcing us to bear more costs. We shouldn’t have to pay for the government's lack of preparation, and yet the cost of living keeps skyrocketing! And why is the population exploding with more foreigners flooding in, making things even worse for us? This is unacceptable, and the government should be doing more to protect its citizens!
