My opinion, one of the most underated Formula One drivers ever and had the personality to go along with it, a lesson a lot of modern day drivers should study closely.
Beautiful piece. Nice music to accompany a beautiful F1 Ferrari 312B. Enjoy Jacky's reflections and comments. I grew up following him and Chris Amon when both raced for the team in 1968. Was glad Ickx rejoined the team in 70' after a stint with Brabham in 69'. Ickx was an extremely quick driver when he had the equipment underneath him. I concur wholeheartedly with his remarks about the "sporting" aspect of F1.
I loved that time, I loved that F1, and Jacky was a very good Ferrari´s driver! The king of the rain.....he just was not lucky to be champion in F1 but he was champion with Ferrari 312PB prototype
Ciao Fabrizio -- like 655
Great video. Understating the subject made it more effective. I will take that era of F1 racing over any. Certainly, it was far better than today's racing. Why do you think their reunion races draw such a large crowd? Modern F1 is too sterile.
I always wondered why he was so cranky at the Kendall Garage at The Glen back in the 70s. Then I looked up his results there. Yeesh. Great racer though. His Le Mans triumphs speak for themselves.
If just a big if ....................... Ferrari was not so unreliable Ickx would have been easily Worldchampion F1 ,Jacky Ickx was an enourmous talented Man who won everything in his career , only not the F1 worldtitle , not in the right F1 team in the right time , such a pity !!!! Jacky Ickx truly one of the best ever and the most versatile driver of his era and beyond!!
i agree with u too many problems with this car Ickx never did become world champion even though he was leading so many GP 71 72 before retiring due to engine casualties
from a time when men were real men,not the ponces we have now.drivers like Ickx also competed in sportscars, how many of today's namby pamby ponces could do that & F1 at the same time?none!
to be fair their team principals and sponsors would have a stroke knowing they raced outside of F1. It's most definitely in their contracts that they can't.
Hi, I'm working on a documentary on the Ferrari 312B and I would like to know to who I have to ask the writs to use some parts of this video. Thank you very much. I wish you wonderful day.

A very genuine guy, one of the best!!
one of the most clever and elegant pilots ever
The most beautiful F1 car ever! And combined with that glorious V12 engine it's magic.
Sorry, the engine is a 12 cyl. Boxer, not V12.
Beatifull car,a Legend Pilot.
Those were the days! Thank you!
"It was really a sport..."
That just about says it all.
A Legendary Driver.
A Driver to be feared.
Jacky Ickx !

Exactly. Each time Jacky Ickx and Jackie Stewart get together, they always remember each other how lucky they are to be still alive.
What a beautiful car.

Thank you for showing this piece of history !
Great belgium driver 👍
good video, wonderfull person Jacky. the sport is sport
Thanks Jacky
Carefree days and at the same time the F1 pilots were dying like flies.

Ickx is a god, schumacher, pah no comparison
Shame we couldn’t see more of the car. The director had fun with his angles but the car is what we want to see.
Underrated, no, not from those of us who use to watch him race. But I get your point though, cheers.

@@evanderer thank you it is a bitter conclusion Ickx deserved way more in his era
Ironic because he would later on, he would drive the most reliable racing cars.
The most beautiful of all F1 cars for me. Why model makers can't get the dimensions right I don't know!!!

Last ten seconds of the video - doesn't he look like a kid in his new toy pedal car, with dad pushing him?
