Sir you are a Genius!. I just spent the whole week doing research on this. Bought a new camera and it was still flickering. Bought a relay just to make sure it gets a stable 12V power (tapped a fuse), it was still flickering. Almost pulled the trigger on a noise supressor. Called some Audio pros around town, one guy told me it's the settings on the headunit, I tried every settings and still no luck. Then after all of that, I came to this video, cut the negative wire from the camera that was tapped to the reverse/backup light, turned on the engine...FLICKER NO MORE!!!
GRAZIE ANCORA. BRAVO.
I usually find these types of videos only semi-helpful, but I had to comment to say this WORKS! I installed a universal camera on a jvc unit a few days ago and have had bright and dim flickering along with intermittent feed cutout where the screen would go black for a second or two then back on. I purchased a rectifier which did nothing then I found your video. I didn’t even realize before the video that the flickering only happened with the engine on. I can’t believe all I had to do was disconnect the negative. Thanks!
Hi. Usually I do this types of videos on specific topics that I am facing in my daily life and there is no fix shared on the internet. I do my research and try to do it on my own. After that share it with the world to help others.
Thanks alot works for me also 👍 Everytime i turned my lights on i had flickering screen! Now it's gone when i cutted the - (Minus Wire) they should mention this in the instruction manual for this error, again thanks for the fix it saved me alot of time and stress 👌👍
I installed a Cameras with my new Sjoybring Stereo and was having issues! The camera would not power up in reverse while the truck was running! I turned the Key to ACC in reverse and the camera came on! It was a slight power issue with the bolts dropping so I connected both backup lamps power into the camera. This fixed the power drop and the camera worked but… When backing and using the brake the camera picture would flicker! I knew this was a ground issue and after watching this video I cut the ground wire at the back of my truck! The Camera picture is now perfect without issues backing up! The camera plug on the back of the Stereo is already grounded and doesn’t need the additional ground! But you can test this on your unit by disconnecting the ground at the camera or grounding to the frame! One of them is going to work for you! Disconnecting the ground at the camera was the fix not my camera!
Hello, do you know what can cause the navigation to have the flickering? I am thinking that the battery have to be changed because I had some problems with it. Also when I turn on the low beam I can see the flickering. Otherwise it is working just fine. Thank you for any info.
Hello friend I have a problem with my reverse camera it is original from factory I have put a Chinese android radio and a canbus that in the cable brings a connector that brings the original camera because it makes me interference that I would have to remove the negative of the original camera and connect the negative of the android radio the one that brings with the rca of the camera?
I have a screen flash on and off with the car in anything but reverse. In reverse the screen and picture are perfect, but out of reverse the screen flashes "white" about every second. Cut ground just stopped camera, but the flashing continued. grounded the camera to the frame, it works in reverse, but still flashes when out of reverse. Any ideas?
I have the same issue and I did the same solution, it works fine as long as the camera doesn't need to change the focus position, but if I start moving or anything started to move behind the car, the signal cut off until the focus position is stable, so I still can't use the backup camera, I wish if you have a solution for that

I am so glad it helped you also. I went to the exact same saga as you. I was so amazed this simple fix worked thatI had to share it with others....
I tried to disconnect the wire, the black one but it is just don't work. What is the other option?
If you disconnect the black wire from the back light the camera does not work anymore?
The flickering issue is still there
@@kevsporlucas4581 What is your head unit?, what is your rear camera brand?

Any safety issue when disconnecting the Ground wire?

Thanks for sharing bro..
So you just disconnected the negative wire the one that connects to tail-light?
Yes.
If i disconnect the ground, i get no picture at all.
And what to do when I’m pressing on brake paddle the picture unstable and got noise on the screen it’s glitching ? When I leave the brake all clear
Exactly what I did in this video. If this does not work you will need a relay on the power cable to the camera.
Did you try to pump the brake paddle to see that no even small interfering? Thank you
It works 😄
So wheres the cammera getting a ground from if its been dissconected
The grund is the video line. Yellow RCA
Camera works without negative wire ?
Yes. Negative comes from the headunit thru the signal wire.
@@benassy69 i understand what you mean i try it tomorrow😁
load of rubbish, soon as i disconnect the earth wire camera wont come on. it needs earth for power.
