Agreed with previous poster, have a break top or two, closest I'll probably get to the schofield is the Barra airgun repro. Not perfect repro perhaps but very good and useful to boot. Another attraction is the ability to swap in rifled barrel for .177 and .22 pellets.
I just sent my cylinder to TK Custom in Illinois and had them mod the cylinder to take .45 ACP on moon clips. Works awesome. Will still take the .45 Colt as well, so now it's dual service. Be sure to get their moon clips specifically for the schofield. I run the same reloads I use in my Webley Mk VI and it shot super tight. Another method for carrying six is to gently let the pin come forward and rest it between the cartridges. It won't move, and won't come into contact with a primer.
My introduction to the Schofield was watching the Western show Dead Man's Gun when I was 10-11. It was the "cursed" gun that traveled. It was heavily engraved and inlayed with gold with horn grips.
From information I have seen about S&W their early guns all had the longer barrel, the shorter barrel was introduced when Wells Fargo bought them for their agents.

Oh that’s awesome 🔥
@@TheMusketMan98 had it out yesterday and it's awesome.
Also the main weapon in Clive Barker's Undying.
Great set of videos!!!! I liked your coverage of the differences and similarities of both models. Very informative.
Thank you sir.
I've been looking at these and I'm putting one on my must have list. That's a good looking pistol.....
I highly recommend it👌🏼

Hello ty for the video. Which one is more accurate, the 5 or 7 barrel? Ty
I absolutely love this style of revolver. I have a few similar style break open S&Ws that arent a schofield.. because I'm broke haha
Yes, unfortunately these pistols can get very expensive.
Love BF1
Very jealous I’ve been wanting one of those for a while
It’s one of the best pistols I own.👌🏼🔥
Are those plastic curtains?
The gun in Battlefield 1 is a S&W No. 3 Russian, not a Schofield.
It's called the Broken Butterfly, duh!
The 1st one ia S&W #3. Suggest you do a little more research.
