What about the gamebreaker score board card ? I cant find its value
@@sce199013 pretty sure that wasn't a licensed nba product. So, it's not considered an official rookie card. That doesn't mean it doesn't have value since I'm pretty sure it still has value in high grades.

Thanks man... I take that as a great compliment. I just figured that I collected Kobe (and the Lakers for that matter) pretty heavily and I know pretty much the ins and outs of his rookie cards so I felt that putting that knowledge out there might help people looking to pick one up for their collection. =)

I recently opened a big box of cards I got at a garage sale like 16 years ago. I went through most of it and found out I have some of these cards. Any idea what I should do? the previous owner took pretty good care of them and most of the good cards were double sleeved. I want to send it into psa but don’t have that many cards to submit. Some are OC so not sure if it will be even worth it. Great video thanks!
Congrats... I would grade them if your planning on selling. You can go through a authorized bulk submitter so you don't have to meet any minimum requirements.

@@Hotrod-bv5ge the oldest basketball card I have is an 81 magic johnson (which is at psa right now). I've been looking to pick up a few more but funds were tight during Xmas. =)
Right! The base upper deck shoulda been the best of the bases. The topps one looks like Kobe's about to jump to pass the ball and that's a big no-no. My favorite is the Fleer Ultra Fresh Faces.
Fully agree Mouse's. Back in the day... The upper deck one was wanted as much (if not more) than the topps base. I saw that even if it was one of my favorite. Agreed... Love the fresh faces. Lucky I bought one before Kobe's prices went ballistic. Thanks for the view man.
What’s a Kobe Bryant Beckettt Topps Chrome going for graded 9.5?
Most recent sale was almost 6000. Which seems pretty high to me but it was via pwcc.
I have the kobe Bryant hardwood prospects card not graded but it looks in perfect condition what should i do as far as selling it ? Any advice would be appreciated
Hey Marc. You'll maximize profits by sending it PSA to grade it before you sell. It will cost about $50-75 though. But, if it's in PSA 10 condition... It's def worth it. It's a judgement call.
2 questions....the topps rookie had a NBA 50 anv edition..was up? And and Insert one would be cool af!
Thanks for the view Ga. Yes, the topps rookie has a NBA@50 parallel. You can see it in my first video or my psa return video. Personally, I like it more than the base version or the chrome version since it has a foil base and the colors pop more.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and provide feedback Freddie. I'm working on a new rookie card checklist right now actually. Should be ready in a few weeks. These types of videos take a lot of work (hence a lot of time as well). Especially since I've been incorporating a lot more custom editing in my more recent videos.
Nice list. The only thing about the chrome card is greening. That is the biggest drawback to this card and my hesitation of owning any of the chrome cards from that year.
Question, should I hold onto my Kobe skybox #142 graded PSA 8.5?
Personally, I wouldn't sell any Kobe. I'm in the opinion that his cards will go up from here. But, nothing is guaranteed. =)

Im in the process of grading all of my Kobe rookies. Not because I plan on selling them anytime soon. But, Kobe is a top 3 player of all time in my eyes. Why not grade (and protect) his rookie cards. It's not like they are going to get cheaper than what I got them for (pulled them out of packs when I was younger). =)

Hello nice review of the Rookie cards!! Question, I have the number 2 card, in your order of cards / but mines has clouds behind Kobe instead of the black background, is mines still worth money?
They all have clouds. Just depends on the lighting behind it if it will show up or now. Sorry about that.
Retro Heat oh cool!! Lol I didn’t know they all had clouds, I’m going to sell mines, but they said I have to grade it 1st, I know it’s in excellent condition. I always kept it in a sealed screw case. If it comes back a 10 / how much do u think I can get for it?
@@williestyle2345 sorry I didn't make it clear in the video. If it got graded a 10... I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for 10,000+. Keep in mind that it's super hard to get a 10 though. Out of the 3700+ that have been graded... Only 24 have been graded a 10.

I have the Rarest Kobe RC that exist. I traded 3 jordans for the Holy Kobe at Bloomington boys and girls club his rookie year.

Agree... Raw, they can scooped up for 50ish. Graded a 9 or 10 is when they get pretty expensive.

Hi Kix. Guess it depends on how many cards and the expected value. If you have a lot and want to grade yourself... Go to psacard.com and sign up to see the options. Or you can go through a bulk submitter if you want someone else to do it for you.

Where does the 96 stadium club rookies 1 fit in?
Hi Adam Tolli, The 96 Stadium Club "Rookies" card was an insert so it's technically not considered a "rookie" card but it is a rookie year card. One of my favorites for sure. Sorry for not replying sooner man.

Why bummer? It's an awesome rookie year card. Just not considered a true rookie. But, most people don't care unless they are building a registry set. Enjoy it man. I have 1 too and I love it.

How come nobody ever mentions the finest 269 the rarer version
What's up Kdog. Thanks for the view. #269 isn't a true rookie because it was part of series 2. A "rookie" card is generally the 1st base card that was released for a set. So in this case... It was the apprentice card since it was released in series one. #269 is considered a "rookie year" card.

The #17 fleer sprite Kobe rookie never get any love. It’s rare and not on any lists.
Here's a small fact... I have 2 #17 sprites in my collection but none of the regular ones. =) Anyways, I think that it's not on anyone's list because technically it's not a "true" rookie card. Even though it's an exact copy of a true rookie card except with a different number and no foil. I guess I would consider it a parallel even though it kind of isn't a parallel either. It's actually in its own category which is why is relatively rare but doesn't get the love it deserves.

Oh wow... Sorry man condolences. I feel you. I quit collecting right before Lebron's rookie year and came back recently but never sold off anything. They just sat in a box in the garage and I completely forgot about them. Luckily I live in socal so don't have too much humidity.

You totally left out Kobe’s upper deck SPX rookie card, way cooler die cut rookie card than literally all of those rookie cards lol
The SPX card was released after the season ended. Because of this it's not considered a true rookie card. It is considered a extended rookie card though.

I just checked and metal, fleer still are worth more than UD. Hoops sells for about the same price though.

@@TheOneyeah Hey Chris, I'm assuming you're talking about the gold foil "rookie" card. If you are... This was actually an insert card that was seeded 1 on every 6 packs. So the odds of getting the Kobe is 1 in every 180 packs. Not very rare for a 90s insert. And not really a true rookie card since it was an insert card. But a nice card nonetheless.
@@RetroHeat Respectfully disagree with you. The PSA 10 is a pop 99 for PSA which puts it at a very rare status. It's still 1996 and says rookies straight down the side. It's held up value very well with it last selling for $2650. I don't think the pop increases significantly ever with the way PSA grades now. I guess it's not very rare to find raw - but the PSA 10 is actually really rare.
@@TheOneyeah I would say it's not very rare to find a copy on ebay; however, it's very rare to find one in gem mint PSA 10 as there are only 99. eBay has only one copy listed for $4150. The PSA 10 last sold for $2650 in August. I think the rarity for this card is not in the actual card p[ack pull chances, but the gem mint 10 scarcity for the card.
