Enjoyed your video, and especially appreciated that you left In the part where you forgot to set the lever to "Operate"; I'll bet that helps as many people as the rest of the video does! It was a simple problem with a simple fix, but I'll bet a lot of people have done that and gotten frustrated and stopped using their vacuum sealers because they thought it was broken. Leaving that part in the video probably helped a lot of people! I think your marinade would have better success if you made your bag bigger, so the liquid would have more room to expand before reaching the seal point, but I think that would work better if you manually stopped the vacuum when the liquid got close to the seal. Either that, or freeze it first before vacuum sealing it.
Thanks for sharing how this worked for you feeling up the food for a future. Use hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy, and Debbie. I really enjoyed the video today.
Hi Irma!! This food saver looks so slim and great quality I loved the demonstration that would have been great to have for the the jerky James made yo make it last longer too 😊thanks for sharing ❤
Try sealing the bottom first before pulling bag out. You can even double seal it. all you have to do is push the lever on the right down and hit seal and you'll start off with a seal at the bottom of your bag. Then pull out the size you want and then cut it so the one end is already sealed. When you cut the bag it is in the perfect position to seal the next bag.
I watched your video to see why my food saver sucked my juices out of the peaches I was sealing. I could have stopped it and sealed it before sooner, and you stated that you would do that if that happened to your adobo sauce. Thanks for the explanation. Very good video!
@vivianwood2238 Hi Vivian, thanks for watching! If you're planning on freezing the peaches, you can freeze them first. Then vacuum seal once they are frozen. I like to freeze stuff in short, wide containers that way they fit better in the freezer. Hope that helps 🙂
Very helpful, and what I really liked about your video is you didn't waste a lot of time on unimportant details. You know, unboxing talking about why you got one and other things. Nicely done.
I’ve been recently thinking about purchasing a food saver. Irma you did great showing how to use it I’m definitely considering buying one. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤❤
Hi Irma! This is awesome. Such a great way to keep foods fresh in the freezer. I have one but rarely use it. I need to start again. Thanks for sharing. XO
Thanks so much for a wonderful video full of inspiration a great chitchat always enjoy coming over to your channel. You’re always full of great information. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. Hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July.
Hi Irma, Thank you for the demonstrations. Very helpful! I was wondering a couple of things. 1. How long have you had food that you’ve “saved” in the freezer for and did you notice a difference with freezer burn? 2. Have you tried adding oxygen absorbers in your food before sealing to prolong the freshness and help with freezer burn? Thanks☺️
Thank you!! I just bought this in Costco and your videos are very helpful. Has it been ok to seal snack bags that are not vacumed? Chips and pretzels get soggy quickly esp. in the summer
Hi, I'm so glad the videos helped! Our chips never last long enough to seal, they get eaten quickly. So I couldn't tell you. But if yours last, I say give it a try. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend! 😊
I do the same. Hubby travels for work out of state. When he drives and not fly…I load him up! Nothing like those home cooked meals for them! This is an awesome tool! 🎉
Dry is the default setting. Moist for anything that contains any sort of moisture. You can also place a paper towel before the seal to catch any moisture from reaching the seal. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Next time use less juice it's not necessary to use so much when vacuum sealing as the vacuum will bring the juices in between the chicken I use the food saver bags to marinate for 24 hours b4 cooking or freezing
You're right the liquid should not come in contact with the seal. I used mine the next day, so I didn't bother sealing it again. Thanks for watching. Have a good day! 🙂

Great tips! You're right. At first I thought the machine had stopped working already, that's why I left that part in. ☺️ Thank you for watching!

Irma on the Marinated chicken. You vacuumed on DRY. Are you to click on the MOIST instead of DRY?
Oh yes, it should be on moist when vacuum sealing marinated food. Thanks for watching! 😊
Good catch
@anotherwei4377 Thanks for watching 🙂

When sealing which part goes to the bottom metal sealer part the smooth did or texture side of bag? Thanks
The textured side goes to the bottom. If you're using the roll, once you cut it, it curls down naturally. Thanks for watching! 😊
Thank you!

Thanks!!

How do you know what mode to use dry moist?
Dry is the default setting. Moist for anything that contains any sort of moisture. You can also place a paper towel before the seal to catch any moisture from reaching the seal. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Nah. That bag with the chicken and marinade, no way if the liquid made it into the vacuum sealing machine that the seal will hold.
You're right the liquid should not come in contact with the seal. I used mine the next day, so I didn't bother sealing it again. Thanks for watching. Have a good day! 🙂
