I have watched many videos on this machine. I just bought one for the first time ever , November, 2023 . I was tired of my food getting freezer burn after 4 days or so . I started to buy a new fridge. But something told me to try a food sealer . I bought this one and I love it ! I am still learning and thus far this video is the best that has shown me different things . I started to return it because I didn't know that the green light would not come on even if the machine was plugged in and it wasn't locked ! 🤭 I sealed boneless skinless chicken breast first . 2 to a bag . I was up all night checking every few hours to see if the chicken got freezer burn. Lol Well , almost 2 weeks later and no freezer burn! 👏👏👏👏👏 ( but I still check them ) lol I opened a bag tonight to cook and everything was fine! I'm so excited to try other things with my new best friend ! ( the food sealer ) I've been rambling to everyone about it ! Some said they will buy one . Thank you sharing your knowledge of my new BFF . 🤭❤️🤩🥰🤗❤️😁🙏
There is another way to vacuum seal fragile things like the cheesecake or the berries, and even meats like hamburger patties, you can just throw them in the freezer for a good hour or 2 hours depending on the product, then vacuum seal them, that way, the stuff keeps their form as well as any juices stays inside the meat or berries, and the air would be completely sucked out.
Your reviews are THE BEST out there! You’re so straight to the point, no unnecessary gibberish talk and show all the points that are relevant! I’ve referred to your videos for quite a few items I’ve bought! Thank you for the time and effort invested in making these videos. They’re so helpful!
I called my mom this morning for help with my new FoodSaver. She's still asleep but with a fridge full from a Costco run I didn't want to delay. I found your video and agree it is so clear, straightforward and helpful. You have a new subscriber. Thank You for your time and sharing your knowledge!
Bought this model yesterday. Your video explains much more than the user guide, i.e. about extending the bag just to the drip guard. You have saved me endless ramp up time learning the subtle details. Yesterday Wal-Mart's price beat Amazon's. And I got the zipper bag handheld sealer as a bonus!
We have saved so much money by buying in bulk, meal prepping and vacuum packing, that it’s incredible !! Also reduced our garbage level down to a half bag per week too !! Liked, subscribed, and I highly recommend this video.
Hi Anita, i saw that you choose my advice for the food saver, than you ! one thing i suggest is, for the berries I would pre-freeze them, so that way you won't see any liquid or juice in the bags, same for the meat, because i do it and i don't have any issues. I have a food saver at my home but not the same brand as the one you're showing but this one you're showing is a good one, at least it has the knife to cut the plastic and it makes a straight cut, which i don't have, i cut bags with a scissors ha! ha! ha!. Anyway thank you for your video and if i have other suggestions i'll write it here ! have a nice week end !
great tutorial.....I'm going to try bananas for sure, as I see some on line Food Saver says don't do bananas! I have an older model so will see if that explains that? I'm new at this, got this older model on an auction and it all works, thankfully. I didn't realize you could reseal chip type bags.....I'm feeling positive that this will be a great help reducing waste and groceries are so much more costlier now (February 2023)...thanks from Canada. I wish all you tube DIY instructions were so clear!
Thanks so much. You were so much more informative than the manual. I'm grateful to get started without the frustration caused by the manual. I also look forward to following you.
Thanks for the video! The previous tenant's left one of these in the cabinet. I almost got rid of it because I had no idea how to use it. So glad I found this video. My husband is going to be so surprised to come home and find all of our snacks resealed lol
Thank you for this video. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. I could not get my savor to vacuum . I figured out from your video that I was putting too much of the bag into the machine instead of just over the drip tray. I don’t believe that is in the directions but you mentioned it and a lightbulb lit up for me.
You can avoid some of the crushing of soft foods (berries, bananas, etc) by selecting the 'moist' food option. Or, like you show, being quick on the trigger to shut of the vac.
Great video as I've been on the fence about buying a vacuum sealer. However, please label everything before you put it in the freezer. I constantly make this mistake and then have to throw out food because I don't know what it is or how long it has been in there.
correct me if I'm wrong, but when sealing the open end before you insert the food, you wouldn't necessarily need to have the bag in the drip tray right? when I doit I just make sure it's on the seal. that way I'm not wasting 1 inch of space just to seal one end. Then afterwards when I put the food in, I'll put it in the drip tray before vacuum sealing
I have the 2400 model but I'm experiencing the machine is not vacuuming all the air out. It seals nicely but no matter what I do not all of the air is still trapped. HELP what am I doing wrong?
Does this still work? Because I read several reviews from people who loved it but it stopped sealing in a month or year after buying it and the company gave them a hard time
I'm new at this. Do you just use a pair of scissors to open the bag, or do you use the machine's cutting board? Is the Foodsaver used mainly to freeze foods or to refrigerate them, or both?
If I were to freeze chicken then defrost it can I still reuse that same bag and put different chicken in it? Or will the chicken juice from the previous use contaminate the new chicken? Thanks I’m advance.
Thank you for the info! I subscribed and liked and I wish I would have watched this yesterday , because I made a batch of homemade eggrolls and to me they looked smashed. Had I known you could stop and seal, I would have done so!! Thanks again!
I'm having a difficult time with dehydrated apple halves. They are mostly cut under 1/4" in thickness. Sometimes they are vacuumed & sealed and other times nothing happens. Any tips that you know of on how to have greater success? Thanks.
Awesome video!! I’m replacing a cheap off brand I bought a year ago. The sealing strip warped on it. Could I have not let it cool off between seals? If so, I don’t want to make the same mistake this time. This will only be my second vacuum sealer. I’m lost without it! I’m going to buy the FM2435 (seen here). Great price on Amazon! There are so many options to choose from. You helped me make my decision! I subscribed to your channel here. Thanks!!
Can anyone tell me. When using the zipper bags & accessory on the "little circle" on the bag, how long do you leave the accessory running. Mine didnt seem to stop no matter what i did. Thank you
hi i have the same or very similar machine ... can i cook a meal say like steak, potato and some vegies, vaccum seal then freeze, then microwave later like a tv dinner \macains meal?
I tried mine last night, it will vacuum but not seal. I literally have to press the seal bottom after the vac/seal process stops. I wasted entire bag because of this. I will give it one more shot and return if it doesn't work.
This video is 10000x more practical than the actual instructions thank you
I was about to take mine back to the store because the instruction book was like reading Swahili! Your explanation was excellent!
Glad it was helpful!
I hate reading instructions lol. Many thanks!

Score!!!☺
If you freeze the raspberries or other fruits, cheesecake or cakes on a cookie sheet it's easier to vacuum seal them with less damage ...
💯💯💯🔱

That is awesome!
You are brilliant!! Exactly what I needed. I'm dyslexic & reading manuals s super hard for me. You made it so much easier for me. Thank you!!

You did a great job explaining the entire process. Opened mine up today and wanted to see your review before trying. Much appreciated.
Glad it was helpful 😁
I just bought this product and heard a lot of bad reviews. This video makes it seem like a good product! Hope I’m satisfied!
Thanks so much. You were so much more informative than the manual. I'm grateful to get started without the frustration caused by the manual. I also look forward to following you.

I just bought mine after reading the reviews but found this video very helpful and I’m now ready to use it Thank you. 😊
Amazingly concise, clear and helpful!
I was ready to return it until I watched your video. Much better than the instructions it came with! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful 😁

Yes. Straight to the point and much better than the instructions in the unit.
Thanks for the video.

Thank you , great video for all ages , I was helping my dad figure it out
Excellent review. My machine did really give good instructions and it didn't even seal. I am definitely returning mine. Thank you for the video.
Just got one! Very thankful for the explanation of how to turn it on. That’s why I searched and found this video! Hahaha

Correct!👍🏼
Do you know how long meat will preserve using vaccum sealing? Also other items like fresh fruit, crackers, etc.
I have had a old saver for years love love love my foodsaver
Excellent - Your a delight to watch and learn from - straight up and to the point-love it!!! Debbie and Gil E.
Thanks so much 😀
Why is sealing garlic not recommended?
Good review but I was more interested in using the accessory port and hose vacuum .
Okay guy 😅
dude i know, there’s nothing on the internet about how to use the accessory port!
GREAT JOB! Thank You so much! I just received one as a gift but never used one of these before. This was helpful doll.
I have the 2400 model but I'm experiencing the machine is not vacuuming all the air out. It seals nicely but no matter what I do not all of the air is still trapped. HELP what am I doing wrong?
Hi. You are not worried introducing mold with paper towel in the freezer bag.
THANK YOU! Someone finally showed how to use the Moist setting! :) :)
😉
Best video on food saver. You shared some really good tips and got right to the point! Thank you…
Glad you liked it 😁
Love the way you demonstrate! To the point!
Glad you liked it!
Have you done a video of using the accessory tube on the one way bags?
i was thinking about getting a chamber vac but with these tips i don't need one
Thanks for the info! No matter how I place the bag the vaccuming never stops and seal...I have to do it manually. Any ideas?
What am I doing wrong if the bag does not vacuum seal. It will seal just fine when I go to vacuum seal it doesn’t pull any air out.
I’m having the same issue. I’m so frustrated bc the bags are expensive.
You can just use scissors to open the bag. It is mostly used for freezer food. You could use it for the refrigerator but that would really be a waste.
Really??
Why is air still getting into the bag ?
You are so professional! Your video are amazing and very helpful!
Thank you so much!
Very professionally done!
Thanks 🙏
What about the accessory port? I can't get it to work
This is a terrific video. I’ll be buying one. Also what model of FoodSaver is the one in the video, please?
Extremely helpful and informative tutorial/review. Thank you kindly.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent review. I will order one thanks to your recommendation.
Wonderful 😁
BEST REVIEW ON YT🎯
Thanks 😀

Glad it was helpful!😀
If you put it on the moist setting doesn't it prevent the machine from vacuuming out the liquid
Excellent review. Just brought a FS2100 glad I found your review. Thanks for sharing.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
😁
Can't you just partially freeze chicken first, then vacuum seal to avoid juices running?
Good review! Very thorough!
Glad you liked it!
Fantastic walk through. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks 😊 I’m vacuuming sealing some clothes to send in the mail 😁

It’s recommended that you wait 20 seconds between each seal. Glad you liked the video and subscribed 😁
Would love to see a review of thermomix
This is great. Very helpful. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Have you made the video showing the food after a while of being frozen?
Yes, here it is: ruclips.net/video/v72IbeA0iE0/видео.html
Can you also vacuum the potato chips plastic?
I haven’t tried but I don’t think so 😁
Worked for me...try it out. That's really the only way to find out if it will work for you.
Can anyone tell me. When using the zipper bags & accessory on the "little circle" on the bag, how long do you leave the accessory running. Mine didnt seem to stop no matter what i did. Thank you
Very good demonstration - thank you!
😁
best video by far ! Thank You !
Wow, thanks!
GREAT video. Thank you so much. I just got the same Food Saver. Your video is so informative. I really appreciate it!
Glad it was helpful!
Can you make a video on the foodsaver handheld vacuum sealer please?
I’ll add it to the list 😁
@@bestkitchenreviews when? still waiting for that
I have a FM2100-000. Why can’t I vacuum pint jars?? Yes I like your video.
Great demo. Thank you

Great video. I will buy one now.
Excellent video!! I just found your channel and now I'm a subscriber.
Wonderful 😁
Is this a 2100
Great demo!😃thank you
😁
Very informative, I'm impressed.
Purchased FS FM3900. It's hit or miss! Suction is perfect... just will not seal. Took multiple times for most times I tried.
I think I got a defective one bc mine does not vacuum the bag. I’ve used countless bags and it doesn’t work.
need a special bag ? or any bag
Great video and I checked out many!
Excellent review, thanks.
You’re welcome 😄
Thank you for this video!

hi i have the same or very similar machine ...
can i cook a meal say like steak, potato and some vegies, vaccum seal then freeze, then microwave later like a tv dinner \macains meal?
Silly question. Wow.
Was wondering how you use the vacuum sealer for the reseal bags? I can’t seem to get the hose to stay in the hole in the unit.
😧
Nice review in detail thanks getting one
😁
Amazing video and Thank you so much.😊
Thank you for your help...
Thank you so much for this!! Now I know what I was doing wrong!😃
Glad it was helpful 😁
Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
GREAT VIDEO, thank you! Awesome reviews.
Thanks 😀
Thank you,very helpful video! 👍❤
You’re welcome 😊
I just got this model, is there a trick to get the lever to turn to “operate” to turn the power on? I don’t want to force it.
That threw me too. I had to force the lever to operate. It works fine now. I almost took it back to the store.
How to vacuum pumpkin puree
Thank you so much it’s been great watching your video can’t wait to try my new one out.
🤩
Excellent Review
I cannot get mine to vacuum the bag. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
I tried mine last night, it will vacuum but not seal. I literally have to press the seal bottom after the vac/seal process stops. I wasted entire bag because of this. I will give it one more shot and return if it doesn't work.
So I don't think you are doing anything wrong, a lot of people are giving this brand negative reviews.
Great review. Thanks.
You’re welcome 🤩
