PALMOLIVE: It's the music that we like, well, we're not going to understand each other, because you have a ...
    REPORTER: I'm just asking...
P: What? But you ask me one thing that is impossible to answer, because you have one ... a different frame of mind, a different idea You will never understand that what I am doing I think is music, you will think that it is not. You understand? you will think it is (sound lost but I think she says “noise”). You understand, that is a matter of taste.
R: So this movement has a musical basis?
P: Yes, (R: it comes from rock?) Attitude, the most important thing is attitude. Then the music, or whatever you want to call it. [...] It's something personal, personal, that is my personal satisfaction, do you understand? I mean ... mmmm ... hell, I forgot to speak Spanish!
R: How long have you been here?
P: Two and a half years, or so.
    [...]
P: That's your taste, if you have bad taste it's not my problem. I mean, it seems to me that I'm better now than all the other guys who are with you. (What is he talking about?) (R: But you like how you're doing?) (Laughs) He says I'm ugly (Ugly? Nah).
    [...]
P: They believe anything, because they think that they are going to make money, but if someone wants to come and learn about punk or whatever, they have to come here to London, do you understand? and experience it personally because it is not something that I can explain to you is something that you have to live, do you understand? It has something more to do with anarchy. But…
R: Do you think this movement can reach Spain? (Palmolive answers in English) Why don't you answer me in Spanish which is easier?
P: It doesn't depend on me, it depends on people, whether people want it or not.
R: But do you see it attractive for Spaniards? For the Spanish youth?
P: (Answers in English) It's something personal, I like it, I have it, do you understand?
R: Well, Paloma, are you going back to Spain? Well, if you go to Spain, will you be dressed as a punk? or not?
P:I don't ... I, that's the way I am, you understand? It's the way I'm going to dress here or where I am, you know. No ... I mean ... if I go to Spain and they don't like it, they will laugh, and then I will say "what imbeciles", I don't care that much ...
Sorry for the long ass comment! And for any mistake in my translation. Great video, by the way.

Thanks for the video, I am Spanish and even for me was tough to understand her broken Spanish:) actually she admits in the video that after 2 years and a half in UK she had forgotten the Spanish language:)

Yea same here! I had a little trouble understanding too I figure its probably because at that point she had been living in London for a little bit so her accent could have been affected by her environment. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I answer you the same that I put other person in spanish: it was 70-80' years, not now , so = no internet, no tv, no books in spanish like now. She provably had to speak all day in english. The amount of spanish people living out in this time was minimal.

For those who don't understand spanish, she's more or less saying that punk is a personal thing and that she can't explain it to the interviewer because he has a different "frame of mind", which I guess is true because at that time Spain was still becoming a democracy and all that... She has a pretty thick accent, I find that amusing for some reason

No te olvides de hablar tu idioma original ni en dos años, ni probablemente, nunca, aunque no lo hables casi nunca . O es pose o estaba ciega o se hacía la interesante (pose).
