That shotgun from the studio video last year is definitely the exact same one from the summer tour sampler cd. Listen again and match them up. Also, Shotgun is not definite for the new album. The album is supposed to be all news songs with an EP at a later date that contains Shotgun, #27, Cornbread, Sister, Sugar Will and others.
I haven't read the pages of comments, but I assume you don't mean this song was on the Summer Sampler, because it was definitely not. Shotgun yes, but not KTK. It's unfortunately been long lost ~
If DMB history has shown us anything, it's that there's no gurantees of what's going to make an album. There were songs in the Stand Up promos that have ever seen the light of day. So no, Shotgun is not a lock for the album. In fact, I think the only we'll hear it as a studio cut is if it's on a EP bonus disc along with the rest of the tunes we've heard recently. The new album will most likely be all new material. Cheers ~
is it just me or am i the only one who actually liked can't stop.. maybe it had to do with i was in the audience who first heard the band play the song.. i dont know.. i enjoy it along with this song.
If he writes some rhymes for this tune, it could be fucking awesome. This sounds more like a soundcheck than a live performance, but thats DMB! Always ahead of thier time...and themselves lol. Love this one
Come on, come on, yeah yeah, come on, come on, yeah yeah, DOWN TO THE GROUND! SUCH a good song, it's gotten more airplay on my iPod than any other tune they've done since the Lillywhites. Shame that they seem to have ditched it so quickly...and yet stuff like Stolen Away or Out of My Hands is in the rotation?!? C'mon guys, bring this one back!!! :)
Yeah, it would be sick, but most bands just have their live songs and their studio songs. That's what makes you keep going back to shows! Also, it shouldn't matter to Dave wheather his albums sell good or not, it should be about the music.
@TheMikejmcl i didnt get a chance to go but i was pretty happy to see that in the setlist. then i listened to somebodys recording of break free and honestly i think they butchered it.
Absolutely not. Entirely different. Just because the "kill the king" line is in round and round doesn't mean its the same song. Listen to the music. It's not similar at all.
Oops I meant Radio City. My mistake. And mistadobalina29, you've got some problems you need to work out. That is the reaction of an unbalanced individual. Thanks for being cool, swartd1.
first off, u must not know alot of DMB because it was easily can't stop. this song wasnt so bad, it was moreso a phase where they were trying knew stuff. but can't stop was the worst one. and i know for a fact that there are alot of people who would agree.
I was at this show, what an amazing weekend it was. This song is so underrated it is a great song.
I have truely loved growing up and growing old with this band.
MAN! 2006 had such awesome songs from the band, idea of you, break free, shotgun..etc
miss those
Well isn’t this interesting.
Well isn’t this interesting.
12 years ago... Ain't it funny how time slips away.
man they need to bring this song back its so good
OMG...I remember hearing this there...I was so stoked!!! Very disappointed I haven't heard much of it since :(
Still chasing this one live! Can't believe I didn't catch it when they were playing it during the Fall 2018 tour.
I think thats the beauty about Dave, is the fact that it is about the music.
they need to bring this back, TR can add so much to this song,
I was there! Man they sound amazing together With Roi and Boyd.
Wow... I love this song. I wish it would come back!!

Amazing song!!
This is definitely a hidden Gem, Love it......Rock On Dave!
really cool song 💘
ahhh.... every time. and this version is amaizing!
Love it!
On the next Warehouse CD! Can't wait. Cool that I was there too.
they played it in 2011 in Atlantic City NJ. You can also buy the album to from that performance
they need to bring kick ass material like this song back. this is such a cool song
Still fantastic. I got one at SPAC a week later.
I miss that kind of Dave Matthews band. It’s not like that anymore. One of the best songs ever.
thanks so much for this upload, i miss this song. Hope it makes it to the cd
this and break free were both played this weekend in atlantic city
this song is sick hopefully it will not fade away like some of the other greats

amen to this guy right here!!!

Leroi❤️❤️❤️
completely agree man. Unfortunately Dave has said that he hates spotlight. I personally love the song. It's pretty much the first one they ever wrote

awesome chorus!
Try the one from Leroi's last show (at Nissan Pavillion). That was awesome.
Brilliant.
ugh, i'm so bummed that this song is probably gonna be scrapped. it's my second favorite new song other than shotgun!
this song is badasss
Its from 2:58 and on on the 2007 Summer Tour Sampler CD live version. It's indisputable.
is it just me or am i the only one who actually liked can't stop.. maybe it had to do with i was in the audience who first heard the band play the song.. i dont know.. i enjoy it along with this song.
Still?
Fuck, I love DMB.
you're absolutely right
kinda ironic kill the king was played first on this date.....?
it is definitely the one on the summer sampler.
The date is 6-6-6 ?
Scary...
No one has any idea what will be on the album, it is likely to be all new material.

Was thinking the same thing last night. Would make it perfect if they did.
This will be sick with Tim covering Butch's part. I love Butch more on some songs, but an electric guitar will make make this song even more intense.
Hmmmmmm, opinion now?
Come on, come on, yeah yeah, come on, come on, yeah yeah, DOWN TO THE GROUND!

@MissLissa79 agreed- awesome unreleased tune, they should bring it back
i love this song but too bad im not going to the concert for 09 damn tickets too expensive i cant afford them
did acoustic guitars get a bit hard on the fingers there dave?
kidding, lots of respect for the man!
Do they sing this song live at all? I've never heard it anywehere else than here
I think they've teased it recently
Diego Villarroel they played it at Caravan Chicago

i would think the audio was edited in
Why in the hell would they scrap such a coool ass song???!!!
@kcfgdhj it's a jerry jones baritone.
@TheMikejmcl
i didnt get a chance to go but i was pretty happy to see that in the setlist. then i listened to somebodys recording of break free and honestly i think they butchered it.
@anblink24
I couldn't agree more!
6/6/6 people no one noticing ?
i got it one limewire homie
On 6-6-6...?
@gobb69 crazy easy too and good good time
@anblink24 100% Agreed!
Hell no......Round and Round is from an interview with Rolling Stone.
This is called Kill the King
Maybe in the future when they are one a record making drought..this could happen
You're not smart, Eh Hee at Radio City was legit.
2020
do u got any mp3 audio of this or anything?
6/6/6 -----------------------?
@kcfgdhj it looks like it is a Danelectro...
Which sampler? The '06 one??
@anblink24 I'd buy it.
I like this. It'd probably get really smooth if they adopted it for real. Eh Hee was pretty rough at Central Park, but nowadays... Amazing.
Absolutely not. Entirely different. Just because the "kill the king" line is in round and round doesn't mean its the same song. Listen to the music. It's not similar at all.
is calling him a moron really necessary?
honestly? I do.
@gobb69 crazy easy too
I think this song is now called roun & round
Oops I meant Radio City. My mistake.
And mistadobalina29, you've got some problems you need to work out. That is the reaction of an unbalanced individual.
Thanks for being cool, swartd1.
v-neck

I believe I save the world every time I walk in the room ....... A smile can change the world:))))
I wonder if they'll include the Davespeak intro. Probably not, but a man can dream.
