Do you prefer the 8in or 6in after having your 8in for a while?
I've only had the 8" one. One of my cats pees standing up, and fortunately the 8" is tall enough to catch it.
Aw no sifting options for pellets?
I have not tried pellets. It's possible they work, but I don't know
An 8" entrance is too high plus the entire pan seems small. My orange guy would easily pee over the edge of this pan. Kittens or senior cats would not easily use such a high entrance - even 6" can be too high for senior cats with mobility issues. SS is a good idea and perhaps this works with your cats (that look crunched up inside it). I think most folks would rather have a larger litter pan. Thanks for the video.
There are two sizes:
8" high x 24"x14"
6" high x 24"x12"
My organge cat is pretty big. I have slightly smaller cat and they fit inside ok. I agree it might be too high for a senior cat. I'm sure you'll find something that works for you. Maybe a separate box for the senior cat, and a different box for the younger cat?
How do you get the top to snap off. Very difficult to do
It's a little tricky. Try bending one side up where it attaches to the metal pan.
Two piece design makes it unnecessarily difficult to clean. A single piece stainless tub would be a lot better, even if it increases the cost
Most litter boxes of this style have a top and bottom piece. I think it would be harder to clean with a single piece actaully becuase it won't fit in a lot of sinks or bathtubs. Appreciate your comment!
Why would I clean this in my bath tub. I take it outside and spray it down with a hose.
