- Hey folks,
I spotted a nice #sunspot this morning (24.05.2021) as the sun slowly recovers from its activity minimum (11-12 years cycle).

Used equipment:
- Skywatcher Explorer 150PDS
- Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro Mount
- ZWO ASI 120MC-S Color Camera
You don't need fancy equipment for this to observe but MIND THE DEDICATED SOLAR FILTER!

This was a great capture of the Sunspot - well done, especially with the stacking :)
Thanks a lot! Was a lot of fun 😊
I like your format. A pleasure to watch.
Thanks a lot!
Nice video. The sunspots changed a little since 12.05.2021 . I captured a few also.
It was the first proper sunspot I imaged. It's actually quite funny to do so! Maybe I'll invest in a proper sun-scope one day :-)
Nice capture!
Thanks a lot!!
cool!
Isn't it? :-) Clear skies!
Sir can I have original picture please
Do you mean the raw data, or the processed image? I'll link the later one on my homepage, soon. Clear skies!
@@catchingphotons where can I find your homepage

WHat sun filter did you use?
I used the Omegon solar filter (150mm) that perfectly fits my scope. It's a broad band filter and rather cheap compared with high end filters. Clear skies!!
@@catchingphotons Does the filter give you a yellow sun? I have the Baader Planetarium Astro Solar Safety Film and it gives me a white sun. What is the correct color of the sun?
Do you have a Discord server?
if yes where is the invite link?
Not yet, but people keep asking, so I'll need to set one up ;-) clear skies!!
