BTW, the writers didn't know they'd get canceled. And how did you feel about the sequel revenge rewriting s7 instead of doing the baby thing after almost a decade? They're too old to have a baby now but I'm sure ASP would fit in age-inappropriate plots.
I have to admit though, I did like seeing them firmly tie off the possibility of of Lorelai and Chris being end game. I think that what I would have liked most of all would have been one more season, with Rory still at Yale, to make up for the year she took off (because it's been pointed out how crazy it is that she and Paris still graduated at the same time), and Luke and Lorelai getting unexpectedly pregnant with twins. Would it have still felt like they wasted a long time getting here? Yeah, probably. But I want to see the Chris possibility squashed and have Lorelai and Luke have children, I can't help it!
i’m so obsessed with the look that luke gives christopher at 3:12 you can just tell he knows that himself and lorelai are so meant to be and christopher needs to get out
The detail of Chris taking Lorelai's poptarts out of the cart without saying anything was a nice touch to convey that though he and Lorelai ARE talking, he's still pushing his own agenda to a degree further than she's aware of anyway. I remember watching this and thinking what a shame it was that finally, FINALLY one of Lorelai's love interests were trying to weave themselves into the fabric of Star Hollow (not counting Luke, of course, since he was already a part of the community; but Max and Jason never seemed to want to blend into the town), only for it to so clearly be doomed to failure.

The baby scene is one of my favorite JavaJUnkie moments ever, shame we never saw them with their own bbay, this was most defintly the moment Christopher knew she wasn't his
Lorelai and Chris have chemistry but they just don't fit. Just watching the first couple seconds I noticed something I hadn't before, she puts the box of poptarts in the cart and as she's distracted he picks it up, looks at the nutritional info and/or ingredients and puts it back. If Luke did say something it would be in jest.
Christopher really has no reason to be jealous of Luke. Lorelai is Chris's wife now and she's finally over Luke for good. Just because she held Luke's newborn niece doesn't mean she's questioning her marriage
@@numella The reason Lorelai broke up with Luke was because he wasn't there for her. He kept pushing the wedding date away, wasn't in town when she needed a date to Lane's wedding and it became clear he wasn't ready to get married. I doubt they would work again

@@numella To be fair it was Christopher's fault that the marriage didn't last because of his insane jealousy and how he stood up Lorelai when her father had a heart attack. Lorelai was willing to forget about Luke and make an effort for their marriage to work, but Christopher wasn't willing to do the same and treated Lorelai very poorly with all this pressure and tension. He should blame himself not her nor Luke
@@nadimabbas4093 to be honest he couldn't get over his jealousy as luke was still around.. you can't forget something that is in your face 24 7 I think if they had moved out of stars hollow away from luke and the town then they may have stood a chance
