If you put a gutter on the roof edges you can use it for rain collection with buckets to water your garden or plants in the greenhouse! The glass will collect a lot more water than you think. It will also help to keep mildew/mold from forming!😁😁😁
my fiancé and i are buying our first house soon and i have so many of your videos saved as inspiration!!! i absolutely love what y’all are able to do!!
@@aspenackleydid you guys use Glass windows or did you put in polycarbonate panels?! It look gorgeous I’m planning on building one myself and was wondering if you guys have a more in-depth video on how you built it!?
Your green house is so cute! Just be careful with recycling the water. It’s such a lovely concept - I’m all about reusing and recycling as much as possible - but it can be dangerous; if one plant has pests or fungi, the diseases/pests can contaminate the water, which means if you use the water on another plants, those other plants might also get sick.
@@Meskarune It absolutely could transfer in some way other than water. I just don’t see the point in wasting water for no reason! Very wasteful and makes absolutely no sense to not use it. Most pests will spread regardless, just treat your plants accordingly. “Spider mites spread by walking to another plant, so you must keep every single individual plant space out from eachother heavily” that’s kinda the logic you are using. It makes sense, but is it actually practical or will it actually do anything beneficial in the long run when you can just.. treat your plants? Lmao
@@-.RuhRoh Fusarium wilt only transfers through the soil or shared water. Pests and something like powdery mildew can spread via the air but not fusarium. The issue with fusarium is that once soil is contaminated it's very very difficult to remove it and it causes all plants grown in it to wilt and die. It's one of things that people have nightmares about and fusarium has killed off entire crop cultivars or people's entire plant collections. If your land gets fusarium you'd have to replace all the top soil. I don't risk it because the damage can be catastrophic.
@@Meskarune that’s fair. Just, very wasteful if anything. Do you use the water for anything or are you just throwing it outside? Wouldn’t, in that sense, you’d be introducing more of this to the environment if it is in your water and just harming your local ecosystem instead? Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me right now.
Great job! Something that blocks some sun but allows rain to still fall through. That way you can rotate hanging plants for making the air in your home healthier like pothos, philodendron and ivy. Amazing job 🤗 At some point a watering system ❤️
That’s so beautiful, I only have a few suggestions to add hooks to hang up you hand garden tools and gloves a water collection bucket to collect rainwater to water plants, soil buckets for easy repotting. I’ve been following your house renovations since the pool Reno and you guys are amazing every choice you guys make has been so beautiful ❤
Lovely greenhouse. Suggestions: I didn’t notice any lighting. You might want to install lights and a fan to help with air circulation. You are going to get so much enjoyment out of this beautiful garden addition!! 🎉😊
I have been wanting a garden shed similar to this!! I'd fill it with twinkle lights, candles, plants, a wood fed fireplace (I live in AK) and a old bathtub perfect for whimsical bubble baths!! Speakers, great chairs, BOOKS and fill it with pretty little bits; stained glass decor, cherubs & charms, crystal chandelier, suncatchers. All the "extras"
Maybe add something to accommodate for plants that require indirect sunlight, or plants that may be sensitive to lots of sunlight? (It isn’t necessary unless you plan on growing plants that require that in the future)
same here love saving, recycling, reusing both in n out of our garden or backyard, love ur dripping plant water sink to collect n reuse water, same here i cut the rain spout so i collected rain water in canesters or barrels
Depending on where u like your going to need a heater for the winter. Also if I can it would be good to have some window vents for when it gets hot out but especially a air circulation fan in the greenhouse so that all the plants don’t die on hot days. Also if your looking for any tropical plants I have my own rare tropical plant shop that u can buy from
I would consider getting an openable and closeable shaft in your roof, to improve ventilation and decrease condensation. Also probably add more raised beds, or pots. Greenhouses are mainly used for storing plants in the winter or summer. To store the pots for example, I recommend a shed.
Worm / vermi compost bin. Bag of straw or wood chips for mulch. As you get more plants - overhead mist irrigation, on a timer. Perhaps a 4 way manual water switch -
In my Greenhouse , I added more layers of shelving. It gives me room for a lot more plants. I put the tall ones on the top shelf because there's more room that way.
I have an old toilet complete with the lid, in my potting shed. It holds odds and ends and when the seat closes it makes a comfy place to seat a visitor! 😂
Well you need a heat sink which is basically large black tubs or barrels (reference Mother Earth News) that you fill with water; it'll collect heat during the day and then release it at night. Put them under your benches. That way your greenhouse warms up quicker in the spring and holds heat further into the winter.

If they’re all next to eachother, that would happen regardlessz
@@-.RuhRoh No, things like fusarium wilt wouldn't spread just from plants being next to each other, only water sharing.

Vines on the beams would be soooooo cute
Super cute Kool and smart 🌿🌳
