First time I saw him live I was 17 in 1978 and I was blown away. This is one man that keeps on getting better. I got to open up for him in a cover band in the late 80s in new albany IN . I lost count on how many times I saw him. He is way underated but still puts it all out there. I'm now 63 and hope to see him again. I played pretty good guitar but I got hurt from a bad car wreck and never got back into playing although I did give it a hell of a run just let drugs take me into the wrong direction. I still play but I couldn't ever get out on the stage without being pretty wasted and had to get myself off everything.
Nothing better than a Pat Travers show! Always inspiring tone and so, sooooo good and tight, in the pocket. Humbles me everytime I see him. If he doesn’t make a guitarist strive to be better nobody will. Thank you! 🎸🤓🎸☮️❤️🇺🇸
Pat Travers Band stil kicking our ass after close to 47 years. I first heard him in the spring of '77 and then saw him open up for Rush in November 78. he almost stole the show. Thanks so much PT and the band. He is one of the most underrated guitarist of the 70's and beyond.
Nothing better than a Pat Travers show any time any place. Seen him a hand full of times live, every show has been a different experience in kick ass rockin. Never disappointed and always humbled as a guitarist. Truly an icon of our time, and so under rated. Awesome has meaning in PT…
Hmm,.. odd comments about 'needing' a second guitarist.. I'll admit, I loved the Travers/Thrall onslaught, but if you only have one guitarist in the band, and it happens to be Pat Travers, well, that's ALL you NEED! 3-piece - the ESSENCE of Rock n' Roll! 👍🎸✌😎
Nice post! ..ya I've seen him 5-6 times super nice guy I have many pics and autographs of him and band, when he plays a smaller club he comes and hangs out has a drink with you. He's so chill
its not what you play, its what you don't play.. PT has got more mojo and fretboard magic music notes in his pinky finger than most pickers out there that have their own signature series guitars... less is more, PT plays the notes in the scale instead of playing through the scale.. Makin' Magic for sure.. Keep on Rockin' and doing what you do best.. much respect for you Sir..
Crazy also, he now plays a strat instead of a Gibson DC les paul with a floyd. From humbuckers to single coils. I guess it makes sense since they have noiseless single coils these days.
This is so inspiring. Been a big PT fan for decades, but this just incredible to know that this was just last year. Still kicking ass and taking names. Love you Pat!! 💜
Believe it or not after listening to lots of bands/ guitar players since the late 70's this is the first time I'm listening to Pat Travers 😁😁 Of course I always knew who he was but this the first time I listen to him and WOW 😲😲😲 On top of that I've always loved power trios like this one...
PTROXX young man blues energy is back n betta reinvigorated by livewire Alex Petrosky and David Pastorius!!! Buddy Rich would commend you Alex, you're living up to the legendary heritage of Pat's past drummers! Keep feeding Pat your signature percussion vibes! Phenom production works John waters and ty for the whole show in excellence and ty Pat for as always gettin betta and bringing it with countless choice improvisations! Please light Washington State up this 22 summer Pat. You're the greatest veteran of all real rocker veterans! You're expanding the potentials of all STRATS. Fender owes you $$$$$$$ the gold!
The word underrated gets thrown around alot, but Pat Travers is truly underrated.one of my favorite guitarist and own alot of his original records, yes the vynal ones and will never part with them!
I saw Pat in 1993 at the Gemeni Room in Ft Pierce, FL. Good show and real loud and awesome for my 23-year-old ears. It was almost a personal show, only 50 people there.
Wore my cd version of the Pat Pat live out. Believe me. It does not function. So I bought a full Polydor 8 album cd set just for it. Ok I got Black Pearl and Hot Shot on the side. Never had those. Don't understand why it does not include Crash and Burn.
In August of 1991 me and my friend heard you play at bar in Savannah Georgia in August of 1991 I hope you're doing okayu heard you're married now with 2 kids God bless you keep on rocking we love you Stacy from Savannah Georgia ❤🎉
Anyone else notice the similarity in playing, style and focus between David Pastorius and Mars Cowling? Bass slung high and forearm resting on the body? Mars was so cool. I think both Cowling and David's uncle would be proud. I've been a PT fan since 1979 and he sounds as good as he ever did. Great band.
Mars was easily one of the top 3 bassist I ever seen in concert. Mars, Geddy, and some guy who was playing bass for Edgar Winter in the mid 80's. Don't know his name but he was hittin' the note that night for sure.
Lightning strikes and PT rides again! And I got an 8 Polydor album set waiting at home. Still unpacked CD Release. The moment Will be tonight! PT TIME.
Nice to see Pat pulling out some of the old songs. I hadn't seen some these songs in alot of years. He's got a different band than the last time I seen him. He's playing a Fender. Never seen him play one before. Its always been a Gibson or PRS.
I fucken love this kind of footage NO CUTAWAYS! the drummer has got mad skills with all that symbol stopping. that is not easy to master and he does it effortlessly. just zoom in on him for a couple songs around the 30-minute mark . it's easy to do because there are NO CUTAWAYS
Such an incredible guitarist. I saw him at Boston Garden as a backup to someone in the late seventies or early eighties. But I cannot remember who headlined the show. Thanks again John~ Rob/Boston
Hey John, I have a two cam clip of BUABS , put together using both of our angles. Would you like for me to send the file to you and let you upload it , or upload it to my channel and give you due credit? It Makes No Difference(see what I did there)...to me. Just let me know thanks.
And let the man catch his breath and breathe and drink water. He's been doing this for how long? And is probably 60 something years old. Quit yelling things in the crowd about continuing the show.
Pats good, but the band sounds empty without a 2nd guitarist . Needs a fuller sound . Sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and admit fans deserve more then just a name 😒
First time I saw him live I was 17 in 1978 and I was blown away.

all the best to you for continued recovery, one day at a time. thanks for sharing your story.
Saw him open for UFO, Cheap Trick, and Blue Oyster Cult, 5 Aug. 1979 at San DiegoJack Murphy Stadium.
Kicked butt then, and still kicks butt.
That would have been one helluva show.
It just makes you feel good to know Pat Travers is still rockin' the house down...A BIG SALUTE AND A BIG THUMBS UP!!!
The chaudiere club across the river from Ottawa by chance? Good times in 72
Saw him a week ago,he kicked out asses in the best way !!!
PAT FOREVER!

I still have all my ticket stubs from the 70s and 80s. Mars, Pat, and Tommy were just insane good
Pat is awesome and that bassplayer a monster power trio at it,s best😮😂😂😂😂😂
Nothing better than a Pat Travers show any time any place. Seen him a hand full of times live, every show has been a different experience in kick ass rockin. Never disappointed and always humbled as a guitarist. Truly an icon of our time, and so under rated. Awesome has meaning in PT…

BAD. ASS. BAND! Love it. PT is so underrated!

Love how he plays the same guitar the whole concert no switching every song . Pat’s one of my favorite guitarist old school!!
Never seen him play a strat before. Maybe occasionally,
I get to see him again soon!
Holy Shit!!!! The one and only PT!!
Damn he is a guitar God.
Pat still has it !!!....listen to that tone....killer band !!!!...can't wait for the new CD
Exactly, same here 👍
Crazy also, he now plays a strat instead of a Gibson DC les paul with a floyd. From humbuckers to single coils. I guess it makes sense since they have noiseless single coils these days.
Very good ! I love a 3 piece band Pat is doing a hell of a job .
This guy is Fuk n great his music goes back with me a long time. Boogies in 89 ,Albany, Troy . You don’t see him play a strat much?
Never. First time for me. Stravers...😆
This is so inspiring. Been a big PT fan for decades, but this just incredible to know that this was just last year. Still kicking ass and taking names. Love you Pat!! 💜

Great to see Pat STILL Rocking!!!
New album is great
Best drummer I’ve heard with Pat since Tommy Aldridge👍
look up the band Local 518, its the drummer and bassists "home" band. yes, what an amazing rhythm section for Pat to work with.
One of the better shows you could see out of any F'in show out there in 22' just simply Badass!
When I was a teen in the 70's PAT was the man & Still is! LUVYA BRO!!! I Still Try to Play Like You! Cheers from CANADA!!!!!
THIS IS FRESH !! JUST FINISHED THE FIRST LIVE ONE...STILL TOURING LIKE I HEARD...SEEN THEM TWICE, IN THE 70'S,

Pat Travers still kicking BIG TIME bootie after all these years-"you know the energy has always been my drug for me".
PT Rocks! Outstanding video! Thanks for capturing this concert and posting it!! \m/

Great chordal work.... amazing player ! Miss those Thrall/Travers days (wasn't even born !).

Outstanding AF …amplified authenticity …right on Travers

I would love to see Pat Travers and Billy Gibbons playing together, what a great match it would be. 👏
And indeed they did Kick Ass!!
Lightning strikes and PT rides again! And I got an 8 Polydor album set waiting at home. Still unpacked CD Release. The moment Will be tonight! PT TIME.
Still a favorite

I fucken love this kind of footage NO CUTAWAYS! the drummer has got mad skills with all that symbol stopping. that is not easy to master and he does it effortlessly. just zoom in on him for a couple songs around the 30-minute mark . it's easy to do because there are NO CUTAWAYS
Appreciate the video. Pat is sounding and playing as if he's still 30.
Band is tight as well.
New album is fantastic if you haven't picked it up. Great new music.
Such an incredible guitarist. I saw him at Boston Garden as a backup to someone in the late seventies or early eighties. But I cannot remember who headlined the show. Thanks again John~

New CD is great. The Art of Time Travel
AC/DC ?
@@soundchaser2061 Rainbow ?
Wore out a cassette in Holley Beach, La
Drummer is sensational!!
this drummer I really like
He reminds me of the lead singer of Molly Hatchet as to his voice and style of music. Awesome.
ALWAYS a crowd pleaser.
I see Pat went for the Train Track gauge for the frets on that Strat. :):)
Those are THE BIGGEST frets I have ever seen on ANY guitar...geez.
Paul Gilbert and Nuno Bettencourt made a concert version of Gettin Betta . 2005 or so.
48:00 what a groove!
❤😊
Now theres some fat frets on that Strat!
Still waiting for someone from La to respond......
Curious about equipment used.
Canon Vixia HF G20
ahh racing the storm
Is there a set list available?
can someone tell me the name of the song that starts at 1:05:35 wow it's a lesson on tone...3 piece tone
Racing the storm 2019
It’s hard to make those songs yours after what Mars Pat, and Tommy did.
_WHITE CASTLE!!_
Because no hunger is so great that it cannot be filled by a hamburger this small!
🤟🤟🤜💥🤛😎💢🎸
He lost a little over time in the vocal range, but dang how old is he now? And he's still kicking arse like this?
Hey John, I have a two cam clip of BUABS , put together using both of our angles. Would you like for me to send the file to you and let you upload it , or upload it to my channel and give you due credit? It Makes No Difference(see what I did there)...to me. Just let me know thanks.
go ahead and upload your work to your own channel. a hat tip to my page and suggestion to subscribe would be appreciated.
What is the bassist chewing on?
toothpick
Drummer and Bassist change but not the legend of PT..
The guitar is having a good time in the hands of PT
Miss a second guitarist to free pat up a bit otherwise still rockin.
And let the man catch his breath and breathe and drink water. He's been doing this for how long? And is probably 60 something years old. Quit yelling things in the crowd about continuing the show.
Ain't the same w/out 2 guitarists......
Yeah, just makes it easier...
Voice is trashed. But fans don't care ❤
Zzzzzzz
Pats good, but the band sounds empty without a 2nd guitarist . Needs a fuller sound . Sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and admit fans deserve more then just a name 😒
Get the gigs with Kirk McKim. Bamboo Room is nice.
