I am 42 now, and I can remember the 1990's being full of optimism and hope for a better future. People were so much happier and healthier back then. Economic opportunity was much better back then. And of course, our music and culture was much better back then. Too bad I can't go back and re-live the 1990's again, and I feel sorry for all the youngsters who missed out.
Yknow I dislike comments like this because it discredits so many great bands these days. I went to a concert, live performance, starset, breaking benjamin, and seether. All sounded amazing with real instruments.
Real instruments are not always played people. Please stop. This was a music VIDEO. Please understand how they are made. Please understand how concerts are today. All that jumping around and no reflection of it in their voice from the song you hear off the Cassette/CD/Radio should tell you something. Live? Luther Van Dross concert was LOVE singing and you ca. HEAR the difference. It wasn't bad by any means. When. I went to a concert I paid to HEAR YOU SING... all the creative dancing is extra. Again... I PAID to HEAR you SING. I can listen to a CD any day and of course now it is all streaming. 🎶 Patti was another LIVE REAL singer I enjoyed. These singers now put on dance shows to a track that they lipsync. One popular artist got caught doing the National Anthem lipsyncing. 😏 Anyway... It was a good song. I still enjoy hearing it. Today most of the music to me is trash or borrowed from someone else. I miss my R&B of Atlantic Starr, Cameo, SOS Band, Gap Band, Enchantments, etc...
@@gregoryhoward7594 worst boomer take ever "music is borrowed" you're the kinda person that allows the dua Lipa case to go to trial and not just get tossed in the trash for having 0 merit. First of all, you go to a concert you don't "PAY TO HEAR THEM SING" You go for the live performance. Rarely in a concert venue can you hear the singer clearly just because of how loud the other instruments tend to be. You can hear enough to follow along, but rarely rarely can you notice mistakes in pitch etc. You're at the concert for a PERFORMANCE. That includes the smoke, lights, etc. If the band uses that. Just because (generic country singer #5027472) sits in one spot on stage and plays his music. Doesn't mean every band is going to do the same. I've seen a band with 0 stage presence in the same lineup with starset a band with extreme amounts of stage presence... it was way more fun to watch starset. These bands also don't owe you ANYTHING. Thinking they do is what takes the soul outta music!
Man these guys were spectacular performers! I can remember when this song first came out and heard it for the first time. They turned me on to a whole new genre of music like Pop music, 90's hip-hop, R&B, Dance, and Tecno

I miss the old days
I couldn't have said it better myself, I swear you hit the nail on the head
I am 42 now, and I can remember the 1990's being full of optimism and hope for a better future. People were so much happier and healthier back then. Economic opportunity was much better back then. And of course, our music and culture was much better back then. Too bad I can't go back and re-live the 1990's again, and I feel sorry for all the youngsters who missed out.
Real singers playing real instruments? What a concept! 🙂
Seen these guys back in the day...
Very IMPRESSED! Real instruments and voices
All kinds of coordinated "Temptations-like" foot-work and moves
Patti was another LIVE REAL singer I enjoyed.
These singers now put on dance shows to a track that they lipsync.
One popular artist got caught doing the National Anthem lipsyncing. 😏
Anyway...
I feel good when I listen to this song. Makes me want to dance. 💃🏿♥
“It feels good to know that you careee it feels good to know that your by my sidee “❤
