Because ppl think he was the cause of death of maybe the best female voice in pop culture arguably. That alone made him the poster boy of everything not good. But has an entertainer he has the full package song dance live no lip sing that’s what was insane. I would put him behind mj after full package I said FULL PACKAGE done might sing better or the other but full package it’s MJ Bobby I wish they made something together at their apex
Bobby Brown was a force to be reckon with back in the day. He don't get the flowers he deserves. People focus on his personal life instead of the entertainment side he gave💯
The very BEST of his/our generation hands down. The complete package. Singing, dancing, performer, showmanship like no other. I beg you to try to find another artist of his era who can even come close to B Brown. You won't bkz there are none & that's a factoid! He was a 1 of 1 for sure. He was the equivalent to what Chris Brown is (same last names to ironically lol) to this modern generation as far as his triple threat talent, domination dancing, singing, performing wise etc on God. That's how good Bobby was. U have no one of his era to compare him to so you are forced to jump into modern day times & need C Brown to match just how amazingly dope he was for hip hop & R&B same a Chris facts+facts!
I swear...MARK MY WORDS.....this will still be a hit song played in the bars and clubs of the future long into 2050 and beyond....And my 100+ yr old, good looking ass, will be the only one shouting in the club, to get shit kicking off....AAAAHHHHH SHIT YEEEEAHHH! THAT´S MY SONG!!! LMFAO!
Same my dude. Born 2009, literally the last year of my favorite writer’s life Michael Jackson. But I love Bobby brown (no homo) I even have the same hair style as him
My God this one was hot in the clubs at the time and he was the guy for R & B at the time. It never gets old listening to it. Every little step I make.......
How many people could or can dance like this? Probably not that many. This is real talent. Way before Auto Tune came along to make untalented people sound good. Bobby could move, and probably still can.
Ms. Yolanda .... damn that sure is Ralph singing first verse and background..lol..dang Bobby forreal??????..I never payed attention all this time..so technically this is half Ralph's song..Lol
Ashley Marie I know right Whitney may have been known for her power house voice and sweeping love ballads but Bobby was just as famous and talented in his own rite too.
An authentic talent Bobby is. You cannot teach authentic talents. They have talent naturally and Bobby is sure a natural talent. You're awesome, Bobby. Keep strong, man.
I know right so sad, I was 6 or 7 in the late 80s when this came out I became a huge Bobby Brown fan. I love seeing his music videos. For a long while I refused to believe he was on drugs I didnt want to think of singers I love like that.
Still a HIT today. He changed the R&B scene when he dropped that rap. Although Michael is the King of pop, Bobby tried on the crown for this moment in time.
This album came out in 1988, a year after Michael's Bad album came out. I don't think he was wearing the crown of the KING who was having the greatest tour of the 80s. Bobby was great but he wasn't no king. Michael's Bad album had 5 number ones. Two in 87 and 3 in 88.

Bobby has an undeniable drip and charisma --- and his songs were INCREDIBLE!

I can't believe Bobby Brown isn't considered one of the greatest. He could sing, dance and just straight up entertain.
Exaaaaactly
It's like if u want a show Bobby will give u one 👍
Facts
Ralph Tresvant keeps trying to take his singing talent away from bobby and claim it.
❤❤❤
The very BEST of his/our generation hands down. The complete package. Singing, dancing, performer, showmanship like no other. I beg you to try to find another artist of his era who can even come close to B Brown. You won't bkz there are none & that's a factoid! He was a 1 of 1 for sure. He was the equivalent to what Chris Brown is (same last names to ironically lol) to this modern generation as far as his triple threat talent, domination dancing, singing, performing wise etc on God. That's how good Bobby was. U have no one of his era to compare him to so you are forced to jump into modern day times & need C Brown to match just how amazingly dope he was for hip hop & R&B same a Chris facts+facts!
kkikiki
Amen to that 😊
will people quit saying so and so didnt get there flowers everyone is saying it since takeoff said it in a interview and its cringe as fuck
LMFAO!
People who didn’t live it will never know how huge this album was.
Bacchus LAX Truth
1989 was definitely HIS Year
A 85 baby i missed it but ik great music when i hear it...
So true
You can hear how huge it was.
i was born in 2006 and i know perks of being born during that time
I feel nostalgic and I didn't even exist in the 80's
Same ngl
Same my dude. Born 2009, literally the last year of my favorite writer’s life Michael Jackson. But I love Bobby brown (no homo) I even have the same hair style as him
My God this one was hot in the clubs at the time and he was the guy for R & B at the time. It never gets old listening to it. Every little step I make.......
That is the magic of the 80's !!

How many people could or can dance like this? Probably not that many. This is real talent. Way before Auto Tune came along to make untalented people sound good. Bobby could move, and probably still can.
HELL NAW!!! THAT IS RALPH SINGING LEAD AND BACKGROUND VOCALS. That damn Bobby Brown, I tell ya😤😤😤
He has better friends then he deserves.
yeah Bobby has the raspy sounding voice. We've been bamboozled all these years! I think Im in my feelings right now😅😅
Ms. Yolanda

Yes, a great word to describe this!!! 👏🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
LA Reid and Babyface were amongst the best producers and songwriters of the era.
32 years later and I still dig this song. I do miss the 80's.
Holy God, it really was that long ago, wasn’t it.
I miss thé 80s
Wow how time flies! Great music to dance to......so long ago
best years without a doubt
❤
this song is a masterpiece
This should have 1B views no cap. This is actually one of the best songs tbh. The singing and rapping and beatboxing.
Yep
Yes all in one
agreed! this song is a masterpiece.
The timing and the choreography is incredible
Say what you want about Bobby, but you can't deny his talent.
Ashley Marie I know right Whitney may have been known for her power house voice and sweeping love ballads but Bobby was just as famous and talented in his own rite too.
He had to go solo, crazy how it happened but you couldn't hold this talent in a box.
Here I am pullin up in September of 2024🔥
"Don't Be Cruel" is one of the best R&B albums EVER! He will rock Verzuz tonight!
An authentic talent Bobby is. You cannot teach authentic talents. They have talent naturally and Bobby is sure a natural talent. You're awesome, Bobby. Keep strong, man.
Them dance moves...
Killed it
They don't move like this anymore
They don't sing the same either
@@katrinanevin2452 because y’all don’t support great singers/artists ... there’s plenty out there 👀
@Mike OBrien I'm still in love with Rosie Perez. I kept White men can't jump on rewind because of her.

Of all the Bobby Brown songs, this is my top favorite.
Bobby come back goin HARD! He put his personality in his songs. & people bought in.
Dominique Ingram he sure did like what now?? yall see me.lol
Lol right. People loved that about him..
This guy was once one of the best dancers and singers out there, until he let drugs get him.
fame is hellofa drug
Hands down
I know right so sad, I was 6 or 7 in the late 80s when this came out I became a huge Bobby Brown fan. I love seeing his music videos. For a long while I refused to believe he was on drugs I didnt want to think of singers I love like that.
Hey, just enjoy the music.

Rain and JYP is cute but this right here?!?!? Iconic. Still influencing the world 30 years later. Salute to an R&B kang B.Brown!

The 80's are theeeee BEST 💪💪💪💪💪
Still a HIT today. He changed the R&B scene when he dropped that rap. Although Michael is the King of pop, Bobby tried on the crown for this moment in time.
This album came out in 1988, a year after Michael's Bad album came out. I don't think he was wearing the crown of the KING who was having the greatest tour of the 80s. Bobby was great but he wasn't no king. Michael's Bad album had 5 number ones. Two in 87 and 3 in 88.
He became the prince for a little bit, he didn't become king.
Fun fact: Michael was a fan of My Perogative
Bobby consider the King of R&B & MJ king of pop

This is why all our artists in the 80s and 90s were so small! They never stopped dancing!
