Jalen Ponder 43 years young and still jamming to this 👊🏿
I'm born in 1993 so I grew up with Bobby Brown as a very strange character. Always saw him as some fat crackhead married to Whitney. Then I discovered this video and song yesterday and I was blown away to say the least. This guy was slim, happy, lookin real fly and got moves for days. In this video he seems like a highely functional and healthy cocaine enthusiast, as most good artists are. Maybe it was Whitney who dragged him down? I always grew up seeing Bobby Brown as just an enabler.

Let me tell you guys how much of a classic this is. My dad played this in the car when I was about 10 years old. Not knowing the song or artist, I randomly remembered and hummed it throughout life. I was born in 1994 and I love music from the entire 20th century from the 1900s to the 1990s. When it comes to music, I live by the saying, "Variety is the spice of life." I don't have anything against today's music. I mean, I like Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons. However, I will be honest about one thing. While I like hip hop and rap as much as the next person, I despise music that involves twerking or anything related to such dancing, such as this song for example.

people always try to blame Bobby for Whitney getting hooked on drugs and not the case. Her own brother confessed to being the one who turned her out. Bobby's drugs of choice was cocaine and alcohol. I've always wondered if he was the pheen why is he still alive? Bobby made some bad choices but he is still human and whose to say he didn't try to help Whitney and Bobbi Kristina?
Frankly I like him as an entertainer and artist, seems like a nice person. Who am I to judge him.
He suffered from Bipolar, and there was an article of him discussing about it. He was diagnosed ADHD before that.
It is common for people with ADHD and/or Bipolar to self medicate with drugs and/or alcohol.
To turn someone on to something extreme, maybe drugs, sex anything that they may not be used to in their "normal daily lifestyle".and make them addicted to whatever..
but didn't he beat Whitney
raveninneverland - who said he did?
raveninneverland - I have never heard that. I feel bad for Bobby because I think a lot of lies were told him regarding his relationship with Whitney. Since Whitney was the bigger star and known as the "good girl" everyone believed whatever she said. The real truth is somewhere in the middle.
Back when it was cool to be Black. The 90s were probably our best decade in terms of global appeal.
Black isn't a trend where it's decided which decade it's cool in. Black people had the same issues then as they do now, only thing is, culture vultures like the kardashians are turning it into a trend.
i prefer early rock and roll and black gospel music, the katrashians and new age afro americans can have the rap music
