She had a affair, didn't say anything. She got pregnant, didn't know what to do, cried rape to cover up the affair and save marriage. Decided to keep bay or could not abort it so went to Company. Disappeared/ Made a deal. New life.

@@mjrboaner3203 she never actually said she was raped though. He just saw video and assumed.
MJR Boaner nobody said she was raped but the confused husband
So, guys, is Demon Slayer gonna replace Mob Psycho 100 or the boys, or both? Will there be another poll for another series?
Homelander has to be one of the scariest villains i ever seen on a show, the actor did a amazing job.
A villain with no known weakness. Very scary.
@@GabbyRN545 He has a known weakness, he can't see through zinc. Checkmate Homeboy
@@samhilton4173 can zinc hurt him though? Or he just can't see through em
@@zurielmanes he just cant see through it its like superman with lead
The guy reminds me of Sephiroth, both seem to have a lot of things in common.
Homelander caught her saying the baby died of a miscarriage, but the guy told him the baby drowned. He knew someone lied.
Yeah, they noticed that
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 he did, but homelander got the truth out of him.
@@ThePunikaTV I figured they did but I didn't watch the entire conversation they had
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 A miscarriage happens during fetal maturation, drowning in the mother's blood is a stillbirth.
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 It's dead in both cases, sure, but the details were different, and that raised a red flag. You're right that Homelander _could_ have shrugged it off, but he didn't. It was different enough for him to follow up on it.
I like to think that Stillwell kept Becca and Homelander’s child a secret as a backup plan to fight against Homelander if he got out of line in the future because she was terrified of Homelander
Never thought of that, interesting idea.
In the comics that's what Black Noir was for. The've changed that in the show. Pretty exciting to see how everyone's story arch will go from here.
@@vioozie Yeah, I read that part online. It is a great twist for that character. But the whole idea of his son being alive to kill him, sounds much more...poetic.
Rah Sheen yeah a humane product for the masses to have
@@vioozie I mean Batman did have contingency plans for the league. Black Noir should be vought's plan against the rest of the seven
Translucent and Mesmer had a kid each so supers can have children. Homelander was the only one stated that couldn't, which turned out to be wrong.
Or maybe he was just lied to?
and Mesmer's daughter and Translucent's son don't seems to be supers... so maybe, Homelander is special and Vough lied to him so he couldn't create his super bloodline outside the company...
@@maxadamis1694 Now I'm wondering if this was planned and Becca was in on it (or pressured/convinced/bribed by the corp somehow).
Stillwell's baby came from an IVF clinic. She says that earlier in the season.
Becca went missing 8 years ago. Homelander's son is 8.
She done got a 4F baby?
You guys are still caught up on the fast birth thing. That was a throwaway line just for small continuity correction. You guys might as well not think about at all. It was 8 years ago and the kid might look slightly aged up but, he's roughly the correct age. Sometimes over analyzing things when you have misinformation leads to going down a road of incorrect logic lol. Good show though right guys! Season 2 in production now and will be out sooner than you would think.
Also plus, that story was like 90% made-up anyways right?
Sep 4th!
@unspeakableflame292the boys story. It's not real It's a tv show
Im sad they didn’t show the reaction to the Black Noir piano scene :(
A lot of Black Noir has been cut in these reactions
HyperInfinity/ ShmoneyGod ikr he my favourite supe
They keep skipping him.
I'm waiting for Black Noir to become a central character that does more than just random things every now and then or going on top secret missions. Like I love him. Especially in that one scene when Homelander was saying that everyone in the 7 was slipping and not working like they should be and then he says "Except you, Black Noir, you're doing great. 👍🏻" And Black Noir is just there like "😎 Yes I am."
@@DeadSnail1204 Right now he's more of a comic relief / someone to be afraid of if he pops up, but still, IT'S COMIC RELIEF! AND HE'S CUTE!
I don’t know why the fact becca was in there for 3 hours makes people think it was somehow consensual. It’s not uncommon for those kind of ordeals to last a few hours because the attacker will drag it out and or the victim will be too scared to try and escape so will do as they say to try and get out alive.
I was also under the impression it was consensual at the end of season 1 I finished a few days ago, not bc of the time factor but she didn’t seem to be crying or distraught after leaving the room however she was most likely still in shock at that time but mostly it was the finale scene and the friendly/strange look she gives homelander yet cold/regretful one she gives butcher which is explained later in season 2. it just made sense for someone to be more willing to cheat if it were with a super person, I mean it happens to people in real life with celebrities.
@@docsuperg3560 god this is such a fucked up point of view. Men are so delusional when it comes to consent, like wtf
They also were going in there to work on Homelander's social media if you remember, so the r*pe could have easily occurred within the last hour after they finished the work (maybe homelander was "rewarding" her and didnt believe her/didnt care when she said no)
Most reactors ive watched seem to completely wipe that scene from the christmas party from their memory despite it giving them all the set up and context that they need for why Becca agrees to go into that room with Homelander.
@@em8066 she didnt interact with butcher after she disappeared wdym? She was never distraught in the scenes following what happened we only saw her walking calmly in security cam footage. Im talking about strictly season 1 as i mentioned in my comment before we ever got to see her years later....
@@docsuperg3560 yes she 100% did... when Butcher was beating up Mesmer, we saw a memory where she was sitting on the table and didn't talk to him, clearly distraught because of something and he said "You gotta talk to me." while she doesn't really react.
Also, after she came out of the room she clearly was Distraught.
And she later in season 2 confirmed it was rape, so now we know for a fact, and the signs were there.
She did go home because Butcher recalled Becca being weird and tried to get her to tell him before she disappeared.
"Starlight! We have yet to see her power!"
Literally everyone: 🤨
This show is amazing. They are well into filming for season 2, and might even be done. Seth Rogen said he saw a rough cut of S2x01 in early Sept. I'm hoping that means we get it earlier in the year than S1.
The show has been a big hit for Amazon. This is a quote from the head of Amazon Studios:
“We are thrilled that The Boys have surpassed our predictions for viewing in its first two weeks, and has become one of our most watched Amazon Original series by our Prime Video customers. This creates great momentum and excitement for us as we get ready for season two.”
At SDCC, Rogen said Amazon upped their budget for S2 and that the new season looks WAY better than he ever hoped for.
Starlight used to run with a group like young justice? Lamplighter walked off the stage at the shareholder meeting? What show are you watching Calvin? This is a westworld calvin. The real detective calvin is decommissioned.
Well. The lamplighter thing is definitely wrong, but the starlight running with a group of young heroes is correct. Well it was in the comics and I’m pretty sure they mentioned it in here but maybe not. Though remember, Calvin is normally always wrong so him getting the starlight thing right is weird.
@@TheGotenza yeah she used to be in the Teenage Kix here, she also mentions Drummer Boy

The Ending is Perfect Torture for BUTCHER..
yes and now homelander and him share the same weakness. hed have to hurt himself in order to hurt homelander.
I can see it going the other way if he was to simply forget about what his wife did and just focus in on Homelander's weakness and if that's his son, boy, Butcher's gonna have to start brewing some sweet revenge on Homelander. Like, I can see him just going completely diabolical with his son (doesn't matter if it's also Becca's).
7:43 wtf do you mean? We've seen her shoot light blasts a bunch of times this season. She even explained how her powers worked earlier in this episode.
Your profile picture seems perfect for this kind of comment.
aarons an idiot
"What if someone comes up stronger than homelander?"
My guess is Homelander gives them just a little of the stuff, and then he waits and watches it take effect. If they even LOOK like they could potentially rival him, he takes them out before they understand their powers.
Or he's just that megalomaniac and can't picture someone who could beat him.
This season was pretty darn good overall .
The characters and story are the most engaging thing about it as they should be . The performances are strong aswell (Antony Starr as Homelander being a goddamn revelation).
I can’t wait for S2 , especially how Butcher feels about it because his entire vendetta has been built on a lie.
You all are forgetting that Butcher talked to her after she was raped she didn't directly disappear. The way she looked not being able to speak about what happend seemed like rape to me.
It's really disturbing how Aaron keeps trying to blame Becca for her own rape... Somebody needs counselling and it ain't Becca!
He keeps misinterpreting the fact that Becca was smiling when entering the room where she was assaulted... Dude, they were going into that room to work, it was not that kind of encounter.
@@pandaslayerxx102 He's the reactor on the right...
To be fair, that room looks like a broom closet, and why would homelander be leading her to a work room? I'm not saying she wasn't raped, I'm just saying I understand where arron is coming from.
i dont think hes blaming her for her own rape hes just saying theres no damning evidence for butcher to believe she was raped.
Super late to the discussion but been binging a few reactions of the boys lately and its surprising how many people think becca going into that room implied consent, including women reactors. It hurt when he (aaron) said "when Becca came onto homelander" after the previous episodes too long discussion of it which made me uncomfortable. Of all the people to give the benefit of the doubt to... homelander... says alot sadly, about societal perspectives.
@@patrickmcdaniel5756 I know, it's very strange to me...
I honestly don't understand how people think that Becca and Homelander was consensual. It's so obvious he took advantage of her *facepalms*
The show has a lot of twists, so it was plausible until Becca stated it in season 2.
@@bignick2k215 You mean possible, not plausible. The narrative, Becca's and Homelander's behavior made r*pe the more plausible event. Mental gymnastics are required to interpret it as consensual. That's what's so disturbing - how many leaps of logic people are willing to make before accepting r*pe occurred, even when they know the guy is a sadistic psychopath who smiles at killing kids.
@@bignick2k215when did she say that?I don't recall her ever even bringing up the topic of it
This entire thing has been a he said she said moment where on one hand Mallory only looked at some camera footage and made a guess which of course is backed by Becca's later actions but it's still not guaranteed meanwhile homelander says he didn't rape her and for as shitty of a person homelander if we ignore this scene has he ever actually lied when he was using his real persona? (Genuine question cause I feel like he hasn't but I also haven't paid attention to that) cause if he has then I wouldn't be surprised if he was lying about the rape too but if he's never lied then there's a real chance he told the truth
Why do u think itt wad obvious? The footage of her leaving the room, casually putting her heel back on, she didnt look disturbed
Y’all totally missed A-Train’s backstory...both his parents died mysteriously and that’s when his powers kicked in. Maybe they were going to violate the NDA
They didnt miss it if it wasnt in the show...
Aaron is really pissing me off..home lander has no morals...He wouldn't have to use a lot of force. He is the strongest man in the world. Plus he looks down on humans. I think she just let him and was so desperate to get out she didn't even straighten her clothes it was assault.
How do you know?
@@TheRealMallard it wasnt but i guess you havent watched the show yet or at least when you wrote this
@@livingphantomit was fcking obvious bro, episode 7 has a lot of rape scenes and a lot, I mean 2
Becca went missing eight years ago, so the boy is eight. I LOVED this series, I'm so glad to have watched the full reactions with you guys through patreon!!
Just realised the guy who plays Hughie was in the first Hunger Games movie.
When you guys believe it was consensual it shows that you didn't learned nothing about The Deep's arc, he would've said that the thing with Starlight was consensual too but i wasn't
That's because the Deep lied.
He straight up threatened to have Starlight kicked out of the Seven.
The "I believed it was consensual, but now know it wasn't" is damage control to not make him "too irredeemable" for the public if they ever want to bring him back
"Did they shoot Frenchie?"
"No they just shot through him!"
They said what happened with Malory. Frenchie was supposed to be watching Lamplighter and he did something else so Lamplighter went and burned her Mallory's grandkids
As soon as madelyn admitted she was scared she was dead. As we’ve seen homelander hasn’t really killed people who weren’t scared. He likes killing people who are scared.
In the comics the baby came out of Becka while her and Butcher were sleeping, the creppiest evil stillborn was floating there with red eyes then Butcher killed him, stomping it with a lamp.
lmao
Mistletoe poop! Don't forget Darick Robertson!
That's so fucking dumb lmao I'm glad they changed it

I don't think Giancarlo Esposito was a guest star, I reckon he's set up as a big nasty for season 2.
I wish they had kept Stilwell. I love Esposito, but he seems to always play, the same type of character.

Quickly growing thing came out of lies about what happened to the baby so I don't think it's true. Also, it was 8 years ago so kid looks about the right age.

Batman: They say I create my own villains.
Homelander: Hold my beer, sport!
Also, PLEASE let Blind Wave replace this spot with "Banshee!"
I just started watching following the amazing performance of Anthony Starr on The Boys. But even now, just 4 episodes in, i can't wait for Eric to react to "Meet the new Boss".
@@Hunterfalke Oh yeah, they would *LOVE* Banshee!!
It felt like forever since y'all last uploaded this show. But glad y'all finish it. Can't wait for season 2
Great cliffhanger by The Boys. It leaves you wanting more.
Becca’s actress, Shantel VanSanten, does the voice for Wraith in Apex Legends
Whatttttttttt
People are assuming there was some big plan about the kid and maybe there wasn't. They said flat-out there might not be a way to kill Homelander. The company itself might not know how. Maybe the kid is just as invulnerable and they were scared of him (just like they are of Homelander). That's reason enough to keep him secret from Homelander. Also--not enough people are talking about the fact Butcher blew up a baby.
It's so disappointing. People instantly believe the word of a proven liar over video evidence of a distressed, disheveled woman coming out of a room and another video of her sitting traumatized on a bench for 3 hours. I don't understand why a man who has been shown to be morally despicable over and over again is instantly believed over a woman.
i don't get why so many people suddenly assume Homelander and Becca had consensual sex just because Homelander said so. I don't believe a word he says
I’m pretty sure the creator of the show and the actress of Becca herself confirmed that it wasn’t rape, in the comics it was rape but the show isn’t following everything the comic does, so I’m pretty sure that it was consensual
Kyle Knight Well that’s fine but everyone I’ve seen stops thinking it was rape as soon as the alleged rapist says it wasn’t, which is weird to me
Kyle Baird oh yeah I totally understand that point, it’s a valid point, my take is that people just believe Homelander is because he truly has no reason to lie about it, his character is pretty smart and calculating and has no real reason to lie about what happened, that being said I do get your point
@@BangBangspideyproduc I guess you're right that he has no reason to lie, but it's always possible he genuinely interpreted it as consensual since he's so deranged and psychotic
@@kylebaird7387 and butcher thinks it was rape because mallory told him, without any proof just what she thinked, or assumed happened in the room and manipulated him because she wanted to take the supes down
3:40 You say nasty. But you get to breathe underwater. You get to commune with all aquatic life, and you get a lil bit of extra human strength.
He did break a jaw with a pimpslap hes pretty stronk
Dammit guys it is 8 years! Loved your reactions
Wait, did they skipped Starlight mom reveal that she was in that program to inject her baby with compund v? I think it was in the last episode but they didn't show it which is stange given they question wheather her mom was into it or not?
Yeah it was revealed in this episode, that it was her mom's choice to make her child a super and dad had to be silenced.
I guess it's half down to time constraints... They can only show so much in a 10-15min reaction. & they also to bring people to paetrion to see the scenes they miss
They talk about the scene around the 33-34 minute mark.
The episodes are an hour long and theyre allowed to show 10 mins of footage lmfao
They missed some crucial things in the cuts and the post-discussion including A-train's motivation for taking compund V despite the risk and Maeve giving starlight a pep talk after discovering her mom turned her to Vought and that her dad left due to guilt
I'm hype for season 2 of The Boys.
You guys have to look at it from Homelander's perspective. He doensn't have to cover anything up. I'm sure once the analyses were done on the planes that went down where they found scorch marks on the outside and inside cockpits, they already determined Homelander was the cause. Who's going to actually come forward with that information and attempt to hold him in contempt? He's bored of humanity, and only created "super villians" so he can get his super hero kicks.
I hope all the people who watched this and were told in the show that she was raped, but did constant mental gymnastics to try and say it wasn't, took a long hard look at themselves and the way they think when it was fully confirmed, the comments on here are so gross, other than acting professional and polite on the way into the office, all the signs make it very clear, not just to try so hard to be like "well homelander is superhuman psycho but she probably wanted it cos he's rich and famous" but so unable to recognise her clear discomfort and truama after it, its outright concerning
Right, because tv shows never lie or misdirect the audience for the sake of plot twists. We should always take everything we see and hear at face value and never question motivations.
@@sandrosliske dude but that's what you're doing?? but for homelander of all people, the evidence pointed to her being raped the only thing that says otherwise is homelander who claims she came onto him. the known pyscho killer liar who has referred to regular humans as "mud people" you're trusting what he says at face value lmao?

Im convinced that Becca slept with Homelander consensually. Imagine Butcher finding out that his whole driving force to taking the Supes down, his whole reason for the quest hes been on, has been a complete lie. Perfect way to destroy one of our main protagonists.
I think it was intentionally left ambiguous. It could still go either way

@@johnnyskinwalker4095 people can still come when raped, and Homelander already thinks it was consensual.
And we also see Butcher's character starting to break down when Hughie wasn't too into his ulterior motive and felt used. That the whole point was to keep corrupt supers under control, not for vengeance. That is what Hughie figured out when he decided to save A-train's life.

This relates back to your last discussion as well, but the park bench with Becca and when Homelander "raped" her are different days. There was a flashback in the previous episode when Billy killed mesmer with Billy asking Becca what was wrong and she was distraught. Then after that he calls her name in a different scene and she's nowhere to be found. She had sex with homelander and it was probably consensual and when Billy asked her what was wrong, she most likely felt a lot of guilt. Then when she dissapeared one day, that is when she found out she was pregnant and sat on the park bench trying to figure out what to do. That is what I gathered but we still don't know all the details so we will have to wait for season 2
TheDirkiestDigg you don’t think she was distraught because she just got raped by the physco guy very capable of rape?
Butcher pls. It's imposible to you to think that your "wife" meet a handsome, multimillionare superhero that is also her boss and she will be okay with a 3 hours sex meeting?
@@kazkilla1 Both is very possible. But knowing Butcher and Homelander I am more inclined to believe Homelander. Butcher seems like a person to bend the truth quite a bit to whatever he wants to be true whereas Homelander is a cruel being capable of great evil but doesn't strike me as someone who would lie when it's not necessary.
@@ThePunikaTV While Homelander would be fine with telling Butcher straight up if he raped her, he might not actually believe that himself.
It's not uncommon for rapists to convince themselves that their assaults are consensual. And we know Homelander isn't exactly emotionally mature and compassionate.
So it's still kinda up in the air, and frankly, I'm intrigued that the show has decided to do it this way. Leaving it ambiguous up to this point, definitely sparks more conversation, instead of the very cut and dry narrative that the comic had.
ThePunikaTV you’re more inclined to believe the guy who left an entire plane full of ppl to do so he could use it as a way to lie his way into getting the country on his side? & You don’t think he’d tell that to butcher just to fuck with him?

umm, why do you all keep saying 5 years. Becca disapeared 8 years ago not 5. Meaning the boy is probably around 10 - 12 years of age, because of the accelerated growth, Like Becca sleeping with Homelander the Night of the party *8 Years ago*, so where did the 5 years come from????????
They're still stuck on the erroneous 1 day timeline
