The reason why they hid the kid from Homelander was because like the Scientist said, Homelander shouldve been grown in a home and not in a lab so not only is he the strongest person in this universe he has no morals. They made the situation possible to make becca and Homelander get close enough together to have sex and impregnate her so she can birth a child that can be as strong as him to put him in check. They hid becca so the child can grow up with morals and in a loving home which you can see comapred to the flashbacks and the boys lazer eyes the walls of the science cell were bruned because the babys(homelander) powers were unstable. But beccas son flashes is lazer eyes showing he has more control over his powers. Stillwell expresses shes scared of him and the scientist says hes too violent and lack empathy since he never had a mother.

They did join him of their own volition but he also manipulated them by making them think he had a master plan when he was just flying by the seed of his pants. Even when the FBI Chick gave him a chance, he refused because she wouldn't give him Homelander. Also, when he first approached the MC, he used him to bug Caught and tried to get rid of him after. The only reason Butch kept him around was because he figured out that electricity was the invisible guy's weakness.
Just dropping some trivia: the actress playing Madelyn Stillwell, Elisabeth Shue, played both the girl that Daniel wins over in The Karate Kid, and Marty's girlfriend/future wife in the Back to the Future sequels, in some of her earliest roles. Aside from a handful of things, she's been typecast for decades; I think The Boys showed that was down to industry stupidity. In the comics... Her character was a guy named James Stillwell, and the relationship with Homelander was pretty different. In the comics he just confidently orders Supes around, and only has one moment where he actually seems human. So this portrayal is all down to the showrunners and her as an actress, not simply reliance on source material.

I never bought that the character was entirely comfortable with the situations with Homelander that she was put in, yet she was still in her position in the company for a reason.
Seeing the teaser for Season 2 and what Homelander did to his “mommies”, it’ll be interesting how many he had until Stillwell and how long she actually was in the job for.

Biggest problem is the fight between Atrain and Starkight. Light moves at 671,000,000 MPH. ATrain was able to move between her light motes as if they weren't even moving. Also his top speed at that race against The Blister speedster was around 700 mph and he was seriously pushing it. Huge flub....lol
Also that wasn't A Trains top speed. Think about it. Homelander had A Train run around the globe injecting terrorists. A Train completed this job without Stillwell having any idea he even left the country (he's microchipped) his top speed is probably insane
I love all the reactors but honestly Rob cracks me up. I know he always goes against the grain but different opinions are good. A-train is messed up but I do quite like him and hope for redemption for him and the deep. I like grey characters and this show is very good at that.

The reason why they hid the kid from Homelander was because like the Scientist said, Homelander shouldve been grown in a home and not in a lab so not only is he the strongest person in this universe he has no morals. They made the situation possible to make becca and Homelander get close enough together to have sex and impregnate her so she can birth a child that can be as strong as him to put him in check. They hid becca so the child can grow up with morals and in a loving home which you can see comapred to the flashbacks and the boys lazer eyes the walls of the science cell were bruned because the babys(homelander) powers were unstable. But beccas son flashes is lazer eyes showing he has more control over his powers. Stillwell expresses shes scared of him and the scientist says hes too violent and lack empathy since he never had a mother.

They did join him of their own volition but he also manipulated them by making them think he had a master plan when he was just flying by the seed of his pants. Even when the FBI Chick gave him a chance, he refused because she wouldn't give him Homelander. Also, when he first approached the MC, he used him to bug Caught and tried to get rid of him after. The only reason Butch kept him around was because he figured out that electricity was the invisible guy's weakness.
Just dropping some trivia: the actress playing Madelyn Stillwell, Elisabeth Shue, played both the girl that Daniel wins over in The Karate Kid, and Marty's girlfriend/future wife in the Back to the Future sequels, in some of her earliest roles. Aside from a handful of things, she's been typecast for decades; I think The Boys showed that was down to industry stupidity. In the comics... Her character was a guy named James Stillwell, and the relationship with Homelander was pretty different. In the comics he just confidently orders Supes around, and only has one moment where he actually seems human. So this portrayal is all down to the showrunners and her as an actress, not simply reliance on source material.

I never bought that the character was entirely comfortable with the situations with Homelander that she was put in, yet she was still in her position in the company for a reason.
Seeing the teaser for Season 2 and what Homelander did to his “mommies”, it’ll be interesting how many he had until Stillwell and how long she actually was in the job for.

Biggest problem is the fight between Atrain and Starkight. Light moves at 671,000,000 MPH. ATrain was able to move between her light motes as if they weren't even moving. Also his top speed at that race against The Blister speedster was around 700 mph and he was seriously pushing it. Huge flub....lol
Starlight doesn't use light though she uses electricity which is much slower
