Thank you Matt for sharing the latest and greatest! I've said the same thing which was the missing mid size Bluetti. I believe a 1000 watt is the best all around size. For two reasons 1) Weight 2) Enough power with power in the bank (cloudy days). I also believe the benefit of 2 1000 watt units are you can use each for different systems plus have the convenience of easy to carry around and if one fails you still have power. We just picked up our second AC200 (MAX) for our Purpose Built Adventure Rig. While we could have built a Victron System it's still cheaper to just buy a all in one system. Cheaper, lighter and you can take it any place just like a boom box. 😂 Bluetti just keeps pushing the offerings! I personally feel currently they're really #1 with EcoFlow right behind them. Happy Camping! Mark (& Teresa) Hampstead Maryland Ford Ranger - GFC Camper V2 #1919
Thank you for your comment, Mark! I completely agree with your points about the benefits of a mid-size power station like the Bluetti AC180. It's great to have a reliable power source for camping and outdoor adventures. Have you heard about the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It offers massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets, making it a fantastic choice for outdoor enthusiasts like us. I highly recommend checking it out for your Purpose Built Adventure Rig! Happy camping!
@ErvigHenry Never heard of them. After having an off brand powerstation which a company sent us and lasted 8 months. Nope! That company was non responsive after we had issues and I wasn't the only one. I'd rather spend a bit more money for a quilty product. Not saying what your suggestions isn't worth the $$$. I'm just not going to try to find out nor would I recommend something I've never used. Hope it works out well for you. I'll stick with name brand products with a good track record and strong warranty. That's why we only use and purchase powerstation from Bluetti. Up to 5 year warranty based on the model.
That does look like a sweet size power station. That's wild it can charge that fast! In our group we have the EB3A, EB55 and AC200max. One trick we have done in our rigs is to duel charge them. Charge AC power with an inverter and then DC through a 12V port. But we boosted our 12V to 24V. Getting a combined 380watts into the EB55 so can charge that in under 90 minutes. Then we are getting 660watts into the AC200max. Not bad for vehicle charging and much better than the standard 100w most people do in their rigs. If you have any of the other Bluetti systems I highly recommend looking into duel charging them and adding a 24V booster wired up correctly.
Can’t wait to try mine out. Just got it. Sadly one day after I left for Arkansas. But future trips will be with my Iceco APL55 and Bluetti AC180 thanks to your videos.
A significant change on the dc output is that it supports 10.5 amps instead of just 10amps, so it should theoretically power a diesel heater without a problem (most are limited to 10amps which causes a problem for diesel heaters).
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I believe others have since 10amp is right at the edge of what the glo plug requires to get up to temp. It works for some and not for others, but 10.5 should offer enough extra where it won’t be an issue.
@@VanninBlack I bought an ac to dc converter rated at much higher amps to overcome that since the eb3a supports up to 600w ac. The eb3a has the capability to power the planar within its core, it just doesn’t provide direct access to it via dc.
Thank you for sharing your insights! It's great to hear that the Bluetti AC180 has an improved dc output that can potentially solve the issue with diesel heaters. If you're looking for a versatile power station, the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series might interest you. It offers a massive capacity, powerful output, fast recharging, and even waterproof technology. It's worth considering for your outdoor adventures or as a reliable home backup power source.
They should have had an Anderson plug for the 12v input and allowed a lot more than 10amp input. For perspective DC2DC chargers can allow up to 50 amp input.
A year later...how are you finding it? I just bought one for a discount at 1100. I found it amazing, gonna make being homeless a little bit easier for me...
Yes! Excited. This will be my first power station to put in the 05 rubi unlimited. Might be a minute before I can purchase but this is the one. Thanks again Matt ❤
Thank you !! I obtained a Bluetti AC70 and was counting on its Power Lifting claim to run my Ninja Foodie Digital Air Fry Oven (Model FT205CCO) on Camping trips. Sadly the AC70 did not power the Oven properly at all. While in Power Lifting mode (claimed to handle 2000 Watt Loads); the Bluetti turned on the Oven .... but nothing got cooked. :(( I used a Kill-a-Watt meter to monitor the power, while on House juice, and the Oven cycled up to 1560 Watts. while cooking stuff. Connected to the Bluetti AC70, the Oven failed to cook anything; and the AC70 power output reading didn't get much above 900 watts. Your video finally cleared up this mystery for me. Thank you !!! ie: It seemed to me that the AC70 Bluetti seriously drops the voltage; and attempts to create an illusion of powering a 2000 Watt device. AND, you confirmed that for me. I was also hoping to use the Bluetti AC70 to run my HAM gear; but I see no way to get enough power out of this unit without using a separate 120VAC power supply. Typically my gear runs on 12 ~ 13.8 VDA, at over 20 Amps; so the AC70 Cigarette Lighter Port at 10Amps falls short. Buying a separate 120VAC to 12VDC power supply just adds more boxes. Do you know of a Bluetti model, or Bluetti adapter, that provides more serious access to 12 VDC power from an Bluetti ?? I am trying to avoid buying a LiFEPO4 battery; pure AC Inverter; etc to DIY a solution.
Unless I missed it in your description, it looks like the outlets are 20amp? yay! That makes this work with my RV adapter taking my 30amp to 20amp for basic use (non AC) in my trailer.
Thanks so much for your great reviews as always, I do currently have two of the Bluetti units. One which stays in my Jeep pretty much all the time is the EB3A, which is nice for overnights. I had after that picked up the older EB 55. It’s been good for a couple days, but I think you review set me on track for this unit as I’m planning a few longer trips this year.
The Ecoflow delta 2 has 1024 wh 1800 w continues and (surge 2700w) no tricks needed it will 100% run a microwave and every thing else, It has X Boost if think you need it but I never turn it on 😎😎 With that being said, Great informative review! I am saving my pennies to get this one so I am watching all of the videos I can find about it. Thanks.
Great Video at a great time. I'm getting ready add a fridge and power station. I was going to go with a different brand because I was thinking the bluetti 70 would work most of the time but I would be worried about being close to running out on some trips. The 200max is way more than what I will ever need, why would I pay the cost for the 200max if I wasn't going to ever use all the power from it. To me, that would be a waste of money. If I get the 180, and for some reason down the road I needed more power, I will just pick up the battery pack for the 180. So now, I'm back to looking at the bluetti again. I will be watching for this. As for USB ports, you can never have enough. I'm looking to add 4 more permanent ones to my JK as soon as I come up with a way to add them and make them look like a factory install. Even my camp lights that are also a bug/mosquito light, only charge with USB. Thanks Matt. Great timing video for me!
When you run the microwave oven empty I wonder where the energy is going, then. Would be interesting to repeat your wattage measurement with a cup of water in the microwave as a comparison. Excellent video!
Can you do a test with induction cook? Test is meaning to use in camp for like a several days with this station and power your fridge. Then tell us your opinion about running like station and charging it as well.
Hey Matt, one thing you should test with these when you get a chance is the cold performance. I have an issue with my Bluetti EB70s, in colder mornings at camp (40-50 degrees and under) if I try to draw a decent load on it, like using my collapsible kettle, pulling 600-700 watts, the battery instantly goes to zero charge and stops working on me. It won't work until I put it on the charger for a while. I'm afraid to purchase something like this if it won't work in moderate cold temps.
My AC200Max does the same on winter mornings, from 90-something to zero overnight. Apparently it's issues with the BMS reporting the battery level. I found the issue goes away if you just don't turn it off! I leave my DC outputs on all the time now, this prevents the unit from turning off, and seems to have a neglibile parasitic load (even my crappy, ill-placed solar setup negates it). Only turn the AC on when you need it, though!
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures well, it is designed to do that because it’s a safety feature Lipo4 batteries can’t operate in freezing temps. My eb55 does this in super cold mornings. To prevent this I would recommend putting some reflective bubble wrap around it. If you know it’s going to be cold and problem solved also good for the battery health in general and should be done regardless. Also, this applies to keeping your battery in a very hot location (shed/car) you should not exceed 115°.
Good job Matt, this is the first review of yours I have watched and I am impressed. I just ordered one of these and with the $20 discount it came in at $779 plus tax, so very competitive. It does not check all the boxes for me but just as close as others in this size. I also would like other 12 VDC options on the out put side as well as a higher allowable DC input voltage as the ability to configure panels and wiring to actually reach 500 watts, within the 60 VDC range is tough.
I bought 2 ac18s. The only bad thing I have found is that they will not charge from my stock mopar 400 watt on board inverter that supplies 120 volts. I am sure it does not recognize the syne wave. My old EB70s with a brick charger will work so I have to take it along with the ac180 to charge it. I can plug the ac180 into the eb70 and it eventually will charge both using the stock 400 watt inverter. I could use the 12 volt cigarette socket but that would lake much longer.
Nice review! To give you an idea on price, I've purchased one here in Australia. The introductory price was $1200aud that's about $800usd at the current exchange rate.
Great review lots of info. I recently purchased a Honda 2200 gas Generator, here's why. i live in Canada and found that the Solar Generator Power stations really don't perform very well when I camp in the fall and winter months, battery runs low very quickly when in use. having said that, this Bluetti AC180 will be ideal in the summer months for me. its been added to the wish list. thanks again for a great review. New Subscriber to your channel.
Great review, thankyou. Always thought it odd that Bluetti leaves off a zero in the name of the power stations considering their watt hr capacity. 200 max is 2000 watts hrs. 70s is 700 watt hours... It would be like a 20 can pack of soda being called a 2-pack. Not a big deal, just strange. Love the Bluetti products.
If you're American, you need the bigger numbers to make things sound better, but the rest of the world is just fine remembering to add a zero for tech specs.
It’s a great product but they missed out on my purchase by not including true expandability (device can manage external battery). Yes, you can plug the b80 into it, buts it’s a one way power flow only. Hopefully they will come out with an ac180Max soon with true expandability.
The problem you can charge with a dc to dc charger off your alternator and solar. You have to manually unplug one and plug in the other. It’s a total pain!
Stopping by for your candid opinon - I enjoyed your take on the AC180 - QUESTION: a month out - has anything changed - is it still handling all of your needs - has that ECO mode been any trouble to you - have you had any need to to do any POWER Lifting? good job - tyfs
one problem with getting a b80 battery is they cost about the same as another ac180. Especially when you catch the ac180 on sale which happens many times during the year.
Question... I'm looking to purchase the AC180, this will be my first Bluetti device, & was also going to purchase the T-500AC adapter to be able to charge the AC180 directly from my trucks AC output as you did in the video. According to the specs, this shouldn't be an issue. I contacted Bluetti directly, which was a bit of a pain as I had to call 3 times to get someone who speaks English well enough to understand what I was asking. The 3rd person understood, put me on hold for a few minutes & eventually told me that they recommended not using the adapter through an inverter that was not pure sine as it could damage the adapter. She also told me that doing this would void the warranty on the adapter & AC180. Could you give me some insight on this?
The let-down for me on this unit is the lack of DC output. I don't travel with many AC devices. There are so many things I like about this unit, but I can connect more devices that I use to the EB3A than to this unit. Almost, BLUETTI.
I just watched this on Google... I got one of these today on Amazon... charging it right now! Thanks for all this information!! I don't know where to store this in my house. Do you need a safe place or can it be anywhere? I got it for when our power goes out... Thanks!!!
The reviews of their customer service and warranty should be looked up. A large percentage of the reviews talk about bad experiences and the warranty not being honored.

Great review! Perfect size for many applications. Can it run a diesel heater via the 12V cig socket? Most diesel heaters have a 20amp fuse, and many of these power units only have 10amp 12v sockets. So my thinking, is the start up voltage for the heater will blow the 12v socket fuse? Your thoughts greatly appreciate.
The sale price on the AC180 as of 4-14-24 is GREAT! There is already an "improved" version called the AC180P. Does anyone think the extra money for the AC180P is worth it???? That's a huge difference in price but it is about 300Wh increase. $650 vs $1000
@ozarkoverlandadventures did you try charging it directly off your gladiator’s inverter without using the power brick, just the included cord? I saw another video that claimed it worked because of the grid smoothing mode, but doesn’t seem like many people are attempting/commenting on this and would trust you on it!
Drive me crazy that they used the barrel connector on this and not the xt60 they use on their other new models. Say like the new AC70. We may end up going with the AC70 over the 180 because of some changes we like better. Of course its a bunch of less power. That said either of these or all units need some sort of high amperage DC output like a xt60 output. So one could use to tie into mobile systems and switches for any of our vehicle, camper usage. Instead of going through an inverter for dc usage..

1500w heaters aren’t going to last long on any power station. Even with the maxed out Bluetti you could only run two of them for a couple hours. Electric heat is horribly inefficient.

So of all those devices, I can only power or charge one at a time while 4 old type A-ports sit idle. Duh. Nice unit tho. Nice review.
Insane deals right now with Prime Day. You can get the AC180 for $409. For a brief time, if you added 3 or more of them in the same order, the price dropped down to $309 each.
Bluetti just keeps pushing the offerings! I personally feel currently they're really #1 with EcoFlow right behind them.
Happy Camping!

Wow, great tip! Thank you!
Can’t wait to try mine out. Just got it. Sadly one day after I left for Arkansas. But future trips will be with my Iceco APL55 and Bluetti AC180 thanks to your videos.
Ordered this last night for the “super early bird sale”. Used your code and got another 20 bucks off!
I have the 600w with solar and love it.I’ve camped 4 times this winter with it.
A significant change on the dc output is that it supports 10.5 amps instead of just 10amps, so it should theoretically power a diesel heater without a problem (most are limited to 10amps which causes a problem for diesel heaters).
I've never had an issue running a diesel heater on a Bluetti power station.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I believe others have since 10amp is right at the edge of what the glo plug requires to get up to temp. It works for some and not for others, but 10.5 should offer enough extra where it won’t be an issue.
ya sadly my eb3a wouldn't run my planar portable heater
I just bought this on sale for 560 dollar I think it was well worth the money
They should have had an Anderson plug for the 12v input and allowed a lot more than 10amp input. For perspective DC2DC chargers can allow up to 50 amp input.
Just received mine. In Australia the super early bird price is A$1179, that’s about 780 USD, which is very competitive.
A year later...how are you finding it? I just bought one for a discount at 1100. I found it amazing, gonna make being homeless a little bit easier for me...
@@ComeatMEOW It’s good, no complaint. I also got their AC240 and Solar panels.
@@lanbolyra thanks mate, what did that one set you back? I wouldn't mind buying more of these so I can go off grid in a sense...
I’ve been running a Jackery 500. This system just went on sale for 45% off and I bit the bullet on it. Really excited for it. Great review.
Yes! Excited. This will be my first power station to put in the 05 rubi unlimited. Might be a minute before I can purchase but this is the one.
Thanks again Matt ❤
Hi Matt, I hope all is well? The Bluetti is a very nice product. Thank you for sharing!😊
I used a Kill-a-Watt meter to monitor the power, while on House juice, and the Oven cycled up to 1560 Watts. while cooking stuff.
Just picked one up. Thank you! Crazy deals right now.
Brilliant, your video swung it for me. extremely detailed. Was going for the EcoFlow Delta 2. RV owner - John Walton - United Kingdom.
The Ecoflow delta 2 has 1024 wh 1800 w continues and (surge 2700w) no tricks needed it will 100% run a microwave and every thing else, It has X Boost if think you need it but I never turn it on 😎😎
With that being said, Great informative review! I am saving my pennies to get this one so I am watching all of the videos I can find about it.
Thanks.
Bluetti will have a prime day sale coming early July for 799.
Loved the review. Bought one yesterday.
By far the best review of any power station I have seen. A+
This is the only video I have watched on RUclips that isn’t Diablo 4! In days! lol love your content man 💪🏽
When you run the microwave oven empty I wonder where the energy is going, then.
@@worldcomicsreview354 Thanks. I’ll try this.
It’s not supposed to do that.
Have the AC180 and the PV200. Will be investing in the Bluetti Charger 1 for complete coverage for all.
Check out next Tuesday's video. I have the Charger 1 and it's excellent.
😂 6:36
I'm so lost, know what a PUK IS?
Good review, Matt. Ive been searching a lot. Youve sold me on the 180. Thanks!
Hi, I just found all your demonstration channel. I think you explane great for a simply female like me to understand . Thank you
Nice review! To give you an idea on price, I've purchased one here in Australia. The introductory price was $1200aud that's about $800usd at the current exchange rate.
That's awesome!!!
Plus your 20% code? This is the one I’ve been waiting for, can’t wait.
Just ordered one 799 with shipping!!!! Thanks for the video!!!
I'm shocked by how small it is! Thought it would be much bigger. It'd be worth considering if I hadn't just splurged on a Wave 2
Well, Black Friday sale price is $649 in case you want one still. 😊
New Subscriber to your channel.
very excellent info- now- but not based on longer use
Well it’s new so it’s gonna take a while to get longer use cases from it. 🤷🏼♂️
Wow, so much information, and done well. Thank you. I will be using a dual induction plate will this do well for all three daily meal usage?
Just in time. I’ve been looking around for a power stations.
Love that power station!! Thanks for sharing.
And the 180 isn't 1800whs
It's been great. No power lifting needed.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I thank you
I wonder how much power would draw if you plugged in an 8-quart Instant Pot and ran it for 60 minutes.
one problem with getting a b80 battery is they cost about the same as another ac180. Especially when you catch the ac180 on sale which happens many times during the year.
The power lifting option would be good to have for a portable welder or such.
Makes me wonder if another AC200何何 isn't in the works. One with UPS and power lifting
Just bought this for $799 as soon as it was available!
How are u liking it so far ? Did you get solar panels with it ? I’m thinking of getting it Walmart has it for 799
Guess I am calling them tomorrow to see about swapping my order from the AC60 to this... :D.
Which version of the T-500AC did you buy and how is it working?
The let-down for me on this unit is the lack of DC output. I don't travel with many AC devices. There are so many things I like about this unit, but I can connect more devices that I use to the EB3A than to this unit. Almost, BLUETTI.
The D.C. outputs was a big disappointment.
Thank you for this video. Rev
I just watched this on Google... I got one of these today on Amazon... charging it right now! Thanks for all this information!! I don't know where to store this in my house. Do you need a safe place or can it be anywhere? I got it for when our power goes out... Thanks!!!
Very good unit, just don't fry it by exceeding the voltage rating.
I think you convinced me; appreciate your efforts.
The reviews of their customer service and warranty should be looked up. A large percentage of the reviews talk about bad experiences and the warranty not being honored.
User's Comment: "This power station looks really impressive! I've been looking for a reliable backup power solution for my RV trips. Do you think the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series is worth the investment?"Reply: Absolutely! The Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series is a fantastic investment for RV enthusiasts. With its massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets, it can provide ample power for extended periods while you're on the road. Plus, its waterproof technology ensures it can handle any adventure, rain or shine. Highly recommended for uninterrupted power supply and peace of mind during your trips!
Please use the item and app for a month or so==and report back to us the genuine performance from your real use over more time. Some others have had real issues with this bluetti-AC180,thanku
No issues yet.
Definitely getting this!! Looks perfect for me!
Got the AC180 when it came out and just ordered a 2nd one. 😂😅
Over panel this with 600 watts of solar would be great. Or a small gas generator.
@@dsawyer8 I just purchased an AC180 and I have a Champion 2500 inverter dual fuel to use with it. With my small camper, A Bushwhacker +, I think this will work great. I also have 2 100w panels. Weeklong boondock and not have to run gen constantly. Have just played with the AC180 so far. Will say this, it will even trickle on the campers lead acid battery out of the 12 volt output.
I just ordered a AC180 and received a little discount using your discount code. 👍🏽 Actually, I received a big discount using your code at Iceco as well. I bought the Iceco VL60ProS on sale for 20% off the Christmas sale and put in your discount code for another 10% off the sales price. 👍🏽 Also, I purchased some Iceco accessories using your code. 🙂 Unfortunately, I think they caught on and stopped your discount code from last year. 🤷🏽♂️🙂
Very nice!
Hopefully Bluetti realese with a better price than his little brother the AC 60 .400 watts hours for 600 dollars is no sense
Can you plug in your RV shoreline to this? If not a built-in plug outlet for an RV will an adapter work?
Just ordered this for 550 on prime day after Beryl
Shoot and I just bought the eco flow delta 2
I hear that’s a good one too.
Hey Matt great review, this looks like the answer to my power problem. I spoke with you and asked you @Moore about your aux battery set up... i am glad i waited to purchase anything, THIS AC180 could live in the bed of my firecracker RED version of Sully, under the metal roll up bed cover, and with a decent sized solar panel on the black rhino pioneer rack on the cab keeping it topped off, i shouldn't have to worry about power again... can the Buetti accept multiple power inputs at same time ( like solar and dc power when truck is running) and/or switch between what input power it is being fed? (or do i still need some sort of charge controller {REDARC, KINGS etc.}) thanks in advance for any input, and keep up the great content...
The Bluetti only has one DC input so there’s no way to connect two charging methods other than AC and DC and the AC will always be faster.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures but the JT does not have the required sine wave inverter on board... can one buy just the "brick" power cord as shown in the vid from Blueti as a work around?
Great review Matt, following along with the same question. Can you charge with a/c in put in a vehicle outlet along with solar w/o swapping the power input? I was wondering if there was only one source allowed at a time. Thanks! Keep up the great work!
Great presentation. Thank you brother.
Thanks for watching!
As always, Matt! Love the videos on these things! I did get the EB55 based off your older reviews, it’s been absolutely great! Right now the the Ac180 is only 650 bucks, would you recommend the AC180 without solar panel for 650 or the AC70 with solar panel for 700? It’s a tough one for me lol, and I’ll keep the EB55 around due to the fact it has more connections and i absolutely love the light on the back of it, shame that’s gone from the newer ones.
I bought one for $649 last night on sale
Great review! Perfect size for many applications. Can it run a diesel heater via the 12V cig socket? Most diesel heaters have a 20amp fuse, and many of these power units only have 10amp 12v sockets. So my thinking, is the start up voltage for the heater will blow the 12v socket fuse? Your thoughts greatly appreciate.
Is it possible to run a diesel heater and 12v fridge both on DC? Or would you have to run one off of one of the AC power outlets?
The sale price on the AC180 as of 4-14-24 is GREAT! There is already an "improved" version called the AC180P. Does anyone think the extra money for the AC180P is worth it???? That's a huge difference in price but it is about 300Wh increase. $650 vs $1000
THE AC180P IS MORE THAN WORTH IT...
nice dutch jeep sign in the background bottom right
.56 cents/wh right now. Killer deal.
@ozarkoverlandadventures did you try charging it directly off your gladiator’s inverter without using the power brick, just the included cord? I saw another video that claimed it worked because of the grid smoothing mode, but doesn’t seem like many people are attempting/commenting on this and would trust you on it!
Great review, exactly what I wanted to know!👍🏻
Bluetti doesn't ship their products to my state. So I'll never know what it's like. Eco flow does. I guess I'll buy an ecoflow generator.
The Vtoman Flashspeed crushes the Bluetti for price and capacity
Never heard of it.
Thanks for sharing, great video 🤘🏼
I wish they had more DC outlets.
Me too
Drive me crazy that they used the barrel connector on this and not the xt60 they use on their other new models. Instead of going through an inverter for dc usage..
thank you for your video, Now to the power station concept, and really dont want to go gas generator, in New England and want to be able to run two refrigerators some lights, tv internet, and a couple of 1500 watt portable heaters, in case we lose power in the winter, what would i need with Bluetti?
1500w heaters aren’t going to last long on any power station. Even with the maxed out Bluetti you could only run two of them for a couple hours. Electric heat is horribly inefficient.
