Champ Kyoya actually *knew* that you can use dem Dragoons for melee, unlike Kira 😂🤣
As a Beyblade fan, that sentence gave me a brain aneurysm. Kyoya is a main cast character from Beyblade Metal Fight, while Dragoon was the first Main Character Beyblade in the original early 2000's show. Lol
Dragoons can only be used in space,
plus Kira is the only gundam pilot that has no killing rule like Batman
thus Melee Dragoons is never used in that way (Legend does it all the time for confirm kill)
same with double beam saber , Kira only used it once cause at that moment he wanted to kill Providence
and Freedom lost his hand thus ~
Kira however prefers to dual wield the sabers, given his forte in executing high-speed attacks ( cause he love blocking beam rifle attack like Jedi )
Kyoya can't even used both beam SF rifle at the same time
has to used
X-Rounder + plus Seed mode just to active a full burst mode , so doubt he can used Dragoons + wing of skies effectively
if beam blade from Dragoons can dmg the shoulder of Barbie , than the beam saber from SF can surely cut barbie
Back for the HGCE , the kits is simple and yet maintain the anime accurate look for the overall theme of HGCE kits,
plus RG SF gimmick for the wings is not in the anime ,
I have both RG and HGCE ver , and one of them already in the ICU for gunpla
the HGCE ver has a superior proportion, (but I hate the fact this kit in gunpla form match the height of moon gundam , for 1/144 )
but HGCE ver is super fun to play around, and pose, ( I saw a reviewer that pose this kit so much and try to do it with the RG,and RG can't even do it )
but be careful the peg inside the torso will break , due to the kits is always leaning backward cause of the heavy backpack
I wish this kit has come out around or after HGCE ∞ JUSTICE , cause between HGCE SF , destiny and IF , you can see the evolution for HGCE kits
if only bandai use this mindset for all other HG revive kits , even HGCE Destiny has the wing effect ,
HGCE Legend and Akatsuki is coming , ( one of Akatsuki backpack is cough2 pbandai )
but Bandai save it for anniversary and want to lineup everything with the upcoming movie
and We will get a new ver of Freedom , Justice and Destiny , and upgrade ver or completely new mobile suit for the trio
now that shinn is part of the emperor palpatino de lacus~ XD
my wishlist is RG Providence
Correction on part Dragoon damage Barbatos armor.
The beam did not Pierce through. It put a pressure on itu before knock it the armor part.
So, doubt about the part beam saber can cut through barbie armor since even Dragon can't piercing through it.

originally it was gonna be named "SUPER FREEDOM"
That would be a much better name to eliminate the initial misconception considering a "Strike Freedom" striker pack
I think American would fit better seeing as how much long range firepower was added.

Regardless of who the Strike Freedom's pilot is, I will say I hold sentimental value for this being the first Gunpla I built with my own hands, and about a few days before Christmas too. Biggest complaint I have is with the packaging. The box I got from a local Target didn't have any stickers, for some reason.
To be clear, I like the machine, not the pilot. And I do like the design and kit overall, so I'm glad there's sentimental value to building the Strike Freedom for you. Although, that packaging error was unexpected, as the kit does have a bit of color correcting stickers that it can't live without.
Kinda wish I knew about the color correcting stickers, but aye either I just need to get good with paint or just live with it.

I still cannot understand. What is the difference between revive version and standard HG, and how can I recognise it to buy the best one? Thank you!
The standard HG is under the "HG SEED" line, while the revive is under the "HGCE" tag. The box arts between the two are very distinct, but if you want another way to distinguish between them, check the year on the bottom left of the box art

How do I tell between a revive kit and the older kit?
The year on their boxes, the box art, proportions of the kit, and their articulation. You'd notice that the revive looks much better than the old one.
Apparently the Strike Freedom was supposed to be called Super Freedom, but at the time some guy named super something got accused of rape or some crap, and they changed it to Strike Freedom on short notice, NGL, personally prefer Strike Freedom as the name.
Super Freed or something? But yeah, it's mainly a joke about what people thought the Strike Freedom name implied vs what it turned out to be

kira's Strike FreedomGundam is the best mobile suit to use in non-lethal combat, and defeating the enemy mobile suit without attacking the cockpit.
It's also the best unit to commit a massacre with, because of firepower alone

hmm, i think the difference is the universe they are in... Funnels are used by Newtype in UC, and it can move according to the Newtype ability.
meanwhile Dragoons from CE are like complementary armament, it is used as an extra firepower, shoots manually by assigning targets (flying trajectory cannot be controlled).
TLDR: Funnels are more superior than Dragoons, as the former use Newtype ability, which can be deployed with a simple split second decision by the pilot

Yep... the operating itself, dragoons are more complex due they controlled manually, luckily the SF have "multi lock" to make the dragoons usage more precise and at them full potential + jesus kira as the "the most perfect coordinator" piloting skill... the dragoons will get nastier. Yeah just like the Newtypes funnels, dragoons also cannot be controlled by just normal skilled level crook, due its complexity make it more likely destroyed in the battle, that way... dragoons are not mass produced... btw CMIIW

At least a good chunk of gundam games fixed to potrayal of the character like the other Seed cast.
I mean Super robot wars Z not only fixed kira but modified SEED destiny's story. To the point where the kira we have now is basically SEED Kira but More mature in a sense

Okay, look. I bought this as my last Gunpla of 2022, and that's mainly because I'm buying 1/144 kits of the Cosmic Era Lead Gundams. I have a Real Grade of the Impulse from SEED Destiny, and HGCEs of the Strike and Freedom from SEED. Now I have the worst, most OP Gundam ever from the main series, All I need now is the old HG Strike Noir from SEED: Stargazer and I'm finished.
But yeah. My thoughts on this design are best summed up by the description I gave it: It's literally a sleeker Freedom with TWO beam rifles instead of one, wrist-mounted beam shields rather than a physical shield, two rail guns on the waist, multiple beam funnels/"dragoons" on the back and wings of light that are deployed when it inevitably beam spams. The end result? The perfect epitome of everything wrong with the mech design of SEED Destiny: overkill and looking cool over form, function and looking cool whilst doing so. Combines this with Shinn being bumped off of "main character" slot in favour of Kira Yamato, a man whose story was finished well before SEED Destiny, and you have the ultimate recipe for nerd rage.
P.S. I guess you went with the Build Strike from the Build spin-offs in the opening sketch to better represent the Gundam fandom because... You know?
P.S.S. Am I the only one whose head translated the Japanese audio clip into Stephanie Sheh (Lacus's current English voice) saying "My name is Lacus Clyne"?
Still, it's still good material for custom builds. I only went for the Build Strike because I didn't have a standard Strike at the time

The old one at least had the courtesy to provide a way to launch the DRAGOONs, which is not possible with the HGCE kit unless you get the DX version or any third party parts you manage to find from scouring the internet

Kujo Kyoya was in the season of build Fighters not a season of Gundam Wars? I'll still give it to Kira yomitan.... you got understand the Mobile Suit Gundam ain't always about the bill fighting, the season is only about war?
You don't really know where my frustrations lie. It feels monotonous and boring to see the Strike Freedom in action in Seed Destiny because it's untouchable and always resorts to the same tactics, unlike Build Divers Battlogue where it uses its wings to clip May's beam tomahawk or using the DRAGOONs as beam blades like that PG manual suggested. The machine itself is great and has potential even without customizing (if Gunpla battle is finally made real to the public), but it's just the pilots that is the variable between both animated instances. And don't bring the Perfect Strike Freedom into this because Breaker Battlogue restricted their breathing room so it couldn't stretch its legs.
Worry not! There's a 3rd party Wing of the Skies effect.
Also I don't get the hate with beam spam? This suit was clearly made for targeting and firing multiple enemies so...

Also, IMO, beam spam is a good tactic from time to time, I like the Helios and Extreme EXA because of it, but when it's the go-to tactic, it becomes rather mindless and dull. There are so many other ways to use those dragoons than just beam spam and volley fire. IDK if it's prejudice or what, but please don't kill me for this, it's just my opinion.
@@mj2005gundam It's super weird about the SF Super DRAGOONs having the ability to create beam sabers at the tip because that was only ever mentioned in the PG manual and was never used in any media.
You can get the wings for cheap too! Its pretty good but also pretty huge

Honestly I was just going to do this accident thing that you didn't advertise the backpack having the standard double pegs and have you plugged it into the freedom. And also I do agree with you I hate the pilot.
Hate the pilot, like the machine if it tickles your fancy. I'm never a fan of judging the design in a vacuum with the pilot in mind. Also yeah, it's using the universal standard.

That is part of a pbandai set known as the DX Set. It has metalic frame for the Strike Freedom suit, wings of Light, beams to hold Dragoons, and beams for firing.

Kyoya kujo did not do this machine justice. And besides, if the pilot for lupus rex did not pilot it like a complete idiot, the lupus rex would have totally kicked his ass.
Phase shift nullifies physical weapon attacks? The lupus rex cant dent the armor of the SF, while the SF has a railgun which can go through Nanolaminate armor. Yeah sure.
@@LatencyProblem fair... But it is also safe to say that the actual barbatos lupus rex would have stood way more of a chance. It literally survived and orbital strike and continued to keep killing even if it did get destroyed completely soon after.
