I have an LT story. In the 90s, I met LT in a halfway house in Trenton visiting someone who was rehabbing. I was 12 or 13 at the time. I'll never forget seeing LT walk in the door. He was the biggest human being I had ever seen. He eventually sat down and played spades with us and got mad when we won. Than he took everyone out to go bowling. I was so mad my mom made me go home . I have his autograph framed from that night. I'll never forgot it.

He was also a color commentator on the FX "Toughman" series, and got into a (maybe worked, maybe shoot) feud with one of the contestants, "Hardbody" Harrison. And when he crossed the picket line in 1987, he pulled double duty as a tight end for the Scab Giants. Regardless of all his extracurriculars, I will go to my grave believing LT was the greatest football player ever.
Oddly enough I’ve worked with LT’s company, Metro Solutions. I went to a meeting with them and it was like a 1986 Super Bowl reunion. Mark Bavaro, Otis Anderson were all there. LT seems to cleaned up and his business is doing well.
LT personally allowed me and my buddy to enter his nightclub LTs on RT 17 in East Rutherford. We were only 19. Unsurprisingly the nightclub shut down not long after that. Coca cazy nightclub. Delicious hamburgers though!

Quarterback sacks were not recorded in butkus era, but I think he would have ranked pretty well on the game per game basis with LT.

The state troopers were at the scene...The following day they wrote in the newspaper that LT got charged for leaving the scene. The car didn't look damaged, and I was wondering who would leave an expensive looking car like that on the side of highway.
LT was the greatest defensive player that I have ever seen in the NFL but he was so damn lucky that social media weren't out when he was playing in the NFL and this is coming from a Cowboys fan

I was not aware of any of the off the field stuff with Lawrence Taylor besides the cocaine one. I do remember hearing about him being an avid user of cocaine and actually being on the drug on the field.
