Why not just lift up your laptop instead, like put a big book under it, unless the webcam on your laptop is near the keyboard and not on top of the bezel of the screen

I wish there were a true plug and play option that didn’t require installing a driver on a PC. Most larger companies have VPNs and strict guidelines that don’t allow the installation of software. I would love to do this with my spare iPhone, but I’m not allowed to install the software (large, publicly traded company).
I would say the alternative is a capture card and a camera

Does this work with iPhone?
I downloaded this app a few days ago. EpoCam PRO was £7 which opened up all its features... Really good app. The only issue I have is sometimes the camera has a delay on it, this could be my PC speed though. you can connect it via WiFi or USB.

My phone has been so much to me recently. Filming China and making it loook beautiful. Finally about to upgrade to Fujifilm Xt4. Now Shanghai will be even in nicer colours 🤗🤗
Maybe a dumb question, but doesn‘t this deplete the iPhone‘s battery during a long (maybe 2-hour Zoom call)? Or will it sufficiently charge off a Windows laptop?
I don’t think it’s a dumb question. The iPhone should sufficiently charge off the Windows laptop, even on a long zoom call, as long as it’s plugged into it. I use my iPhone a lot while plugged into windows computer. I hope this helps.

I installed EpocCam on my iphone 14 and Elgato on my Macbook Air. This is NOT as seamless as it was when you made this video 2 years ago. Please update. Where does the epoccam driver for my macbook come from? Is it nested in the elgato download? When i pick epoccam in zoom in just get three animated dots.. should my phone be in epoccam or camera mode? Please! Details! Please! thanks

How about the microphone? The phone's built in mic accessible silmuntaneously? And the clarity? Thank you in advance.
The Mic gets detected automatically by the system recording (you just need to choose your preferred MIC/Webcam) and to avoid voice delay…turn off the WiFi mode on your phone and plug in the usb by enabling usb debugging….the video and your voice will go in sync 👍🏻

Is there a way to connect the iPhone wirelessly to zoom. I run hybrid programs with a live event at a restaurant. The speaker is at a lectern at the front of the room. I want a tripod with the iPhone and mic at the lecture but zoom tech will be in the back of the room.

What if you get a call or email etc while using your phone as webcam? Do you have to put it on Airplane Mode?
I suppose just putting it on night mode (silent) should be fine so you don‘t get bothered by alert sounds. Pop-downs theoretically shouldn‘t bother the set-up, either, since they simply appear on the (back-facing) display. The only issue I see is that sometimes, as a meeting host, I need to have my phone at the ready right before the meeting starts, and for the first few minutes, for folks who somehow can‘t get in and need assistance, or else want to inform me they won‘t be coming. Not being able to check What‘s App or whatever is a bit of a downside.
Incoming calls and texts have disconnected me. EpoCam won't let you keep it in Airplane mode (even if you're using a cable connection and not Wifi). 'Do not disturb' mode will work, I think, but I've found EpoCam randomly quits now and again anyway so I'm hesitant to use it for really important meetings.

Tried this particular app last summer and it didn’t work out for me. Could not synch up at all and the app drivers were a pain in the butt to switch off.
