I still have the original Airpods Pro, ANC and Transparency feature no longer works since two months ago. But still use it for a couple of hours everyday to listen to podcast. Battery life is great, and it is quick to charge. It is a necessity for me now.
Love my airpod pro 1st gens, but I lost one of the buds months ago and decided to upgrade to the 2nd gens, & honestly I’m shocked at how they’re able to improve so much on what I thought was already a pretty perfect product
My favorite feature: AirPods Pro 2 + Apple TV + Spatial Audio = portable, high-fidelity "surround" home theater sound, with sound quality that rivals audiophile Dolby Atmos home theaters costing several thousands of dollars.
After the recent software update of the AirPods Pro 2. The sound improved when using lossless (switched on) in combination with apple music app. It will help when you download your music in apple lossless mode. Even streaming in apple lossless mode sound better. This is only possible if you can support your bigger data download while streaming on the move.
@@108u9Yes, it was very easy to get the first gen AirPods below 80% in two years but my first gen AirPods Pro kept having good battery even though I used them a lot (I had to convince them I got around 3.5 hours out of the promised 4.5 to get the replacement). I expect the newer versions to hold better simply because they have longer battery life. If you get Apple Care+ anyway, make sure to wait for 60 days before starting it so you get 26 months of coverage.
I use mine daily at work. The ANC is a life saver in the noisy shop. The ANC only really freaks out when I use the ultrasonic cleaner. I do have occasional connection issues where only one will connect or my phone will say they are connected but I don't get the chime when I put them in my ears. Not sure if its my phone ( 12 pro max) or if its the AirPods. . Coming from AirPods 2, they were well worth the money. The battery life gets me through at least lunch in which I just charge them. Using ANC only I can get through most of the work day.
Why NO one talks about batteries dying if your case is at zero charge ? headphones dont turn off in case if your case is at zero battery. end up with both devices at zero in the morning
I don't know what new features Apple could bring to the AirPods Pro 3 that would persuade me to give up my APP 2. They are night and day compared to the 1st generation. The noise cancellation with nothing playing is about the same as the gen 1's with music playing. My habitual pub seat is slap bang under a loudspeaker. With the gen 1's, I would always hear enough from the speaker to identify the tune. If I'm playing anything on my iPad Pro or my iPhone, I can't hear a thing from the speaker.
I use mine every day of the week for sometimes 14 hours a day at my job and I use the new touch controls probably 100 times a day and I never have any issues.
I would not buy it again. The noise canceling works great for noises in traffic or air planes, as you said. If, however, you work in an office and want to turn out co workers around you, it just simply doesn’t work. Aside from individuality (my ear canal keeps spitting them out in all sizes), I turned most „new“ features off. If I turn my head, watching a RUclips video, the sound change gets really annoying…of course the positive sides remain, but not worth the money
Just picked up the pro 2 yesterday. Extremely disappointed with noise canceling for high pitch noises. Hoping a firmware fixes them, otherwise I am returning them. While I love all the features over my pro 1s, the noise canceling seems worse.
I have the AirPods Max as well, and you can’t really compare the quality, the max are far higher in quality, but perhaps the bass is a little bit tighter on the AirPods Pro 2 to my ears. For watching movies on appletv I always prefer my AirPods Max though, since they are more comfortable.
I love my airpods pro 1 but the weird crackling static issue and the random high pitch sound that sometimes happens when anc/transparency mode is on. I've since then moved on to soundcore products and specifically the Liberty 4's. Aside from not having as good ANC/Transparency mode, it's still pretty good, they blow my airpods pro out the water. Sound, battery life, customization and appearance. I'd like to try out the airpods pro 2 but for now it doesn't seem like I need to switch back.
You can get it replaced if you have that crackling issue, mine were underutilized and one random day when I started using them I heard that, contacted Apple and got the side with the issue replaced for free, they have a service program for that issue even if you are out of warranty.
I got mine replaced a few months ago, and the guy at the apple store told me I was lucky I did it sooner than later because they were going to stop replacing them soon. Recently apple sent me a $14.45 check in the mail due to a lawsuit against them.
I had the gen 1s and replaced both sides 4 times due to the constant crackling.. that was in the space of 12 months. I ended up buying the beats fit pros and they’re incredible tbh
Ordered these yesterday and they are arriving today.... despite being a bit of an Apple fan and currently owning the iPhone 14 Pro, the Apple Watch Ultra, The M1 14" MacBook Pro AND the M2 Mac Mini 512mb non pro daily driver I have NEVER brought AirPods for myself so I am looking forward to trying them. Have a few holidays booked for the Summer and it was a toss up between these and the MAX and these only marginally won.
I'm having mic issues when I'm travelling on a bike. The mic doesn't reduce the air flow while driving and also voice isolation is lowering my voice too and the voice is breaking while talking driving a bike. Has anyone faced this issue or is this a defect in my airpods pro 2?
Did you have bad battery drain on the case recently ? Many complaining about that, even for the airpods pro 1 like I have, I also had this issue suddenly. Might been after a firmware update like some speculates but not sure. I just reset them cause some said that fixed the drain for them, so now I am keeping an eye on them to see if the case still drain faster than it should.
I’m a little late to the party, but I just got a pair today, and haven’t tried them yet, and came across this review… its probably weird, but I like to google reviews of gear I already own, and try to hype myself up for it. 😂🤷♂️I guess it’s a way to squeeze a little more joy and appreciation out of the stuff I end up buying 😅✌️ Anyway, saw the little AirPods propped up in different plant.. a kale-looking thing, then a cactus or succulent of sorts - I don’t know, I’m not a botanist, but I thought “that’s a really odd and peculiar thing to do 😳😂🤷♂️” But I liked - nay, Sir; I loved it! Great review - I’m super stoked to try them now, and I AM in fact waaaay more excited to try to notice all the great stuff about them. Maybe ill let you know if I think you’re right? Anyway, great video man, and get more plants for propping up stuff you review! At first I was not a fan of the Airpods Pro 2 but as months go by, I am slowly loving it.. It has no problem connecting to my Windows 11 PC but there were few hiccups like the sound delay when I let the buds sit not being used but when I wanna play a video with sound or music it delays by 10secs or more before the audio will play.. I installed Soundkeeper to stop that delay but I am yet to find a software on Windows 11 just like Soundkeeper where it is already active upon startup 😅😅😅 anybody knows something aside from Soundkeeper let me know? 😅
Your battery concerns interest me. I have had my AirPods 2nd Gen. For about two years and the batteries have held up surprisingly well in the buds. I still can get around 5 hours, and I kill them almost daily
5:10 I don't feel adaptive transparency works at all for me. When I walk down the street in transparency mode and a motorcycle passes, nothing changes on the Airpods Pro. I hear the motorcycle so loud that I can not hear my content anymore.
Have this coming tomorrow. First iPods tbh, upgrading from faulty Linkbuds S (which I loved but broke) and I am now on iPod. Cool to see USB-C on the case now, so watch for old models!
Glad I’m not the only one with the issues mentioned in the video with the first gen AirPods Pro. Will consider getting the 2nd or upcoming 3rd version with the AirPods Max eventually
I bought these as an “upgrade” to my bose free sport wireless.. the bose didnt have noise cancelling but that is the only thing they were missing. Im disappointed to be fair
Hi, Does the latest Airpod Pro (2n Generation?) still support the functions of hearing aid (mild to medium loss)? Any improvements in the hearing aid functions over the previous versions? Thanks.

I 100% agree with you here. I have the exact same feel after the Pro1 and also considering returning or selling. very dissapointing to hear key strokes of people 20 feet away whereas that wasn't the case before.
Well the thing is without the case and you charge it in the standard wireless charger.. it marks or scratches the back of thr app2.. i dont like scratches on my devices
If you care a super ton about it's multipoint connection and noise cancelling, wait until it's closer to 150$ Otherwise, no, not at all. It's sound signature is also just tuned badly. I have 20$ IEMs that are tuned better.
I chose AirPod Pro 2 instead of Sony XM5 because the previous xm4 started having battery issues a year after I bought it. NC on AirPods Pro 2 is fantastic!!!
I’m really seriously thinking about getting some of these but rn I got some knockouts from Walmart n they work closely to the AirPods n they last all day n pretty much through until I go to bed n they have usb-c charger but they dont show up like the apple AirPods Pro on my iPhone wish they would still looking to buy Apple Watches soon n waiting for the iPhone 15 models coming in September
They will work on any Bluetooth capable device. However; Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency and Spacial Audio will only work with iOS/Mac OS devices I.e iPhones, Apple TV etc.
How did they perform for you in terms of remaining connected to your smart TV if the TV is anything but an Apple? Why does no reviewer ever mention this? If you change channel, pause, FFW, rewind, or anything that momentarily interrupts the sound output of the TV, when you resume, no sound from the Pro 2s. Didn't happen with previous Air Pod versions, doesn't happen with my Sonys. Google it. Happens with Samsung, LG and other smart TVs. Known problem since release and all firmware updates. This problem is never mentioned in YT reviews?
im considering them and the Sony 1000xm4. has anyone used both and can tell me which one i should choose when i mainly go to the gym and runing? i love listening to music most of the day so battery wins in Sony but what about sound and comfort? thank you!
I have both and go to the gym with them. I usually prefer the airpods pro because it's way more convenient and I can just shove them in my pocket or even leave the case at home. But the xm4 has a better listening experience overall once you tune it and has 30 hours prolonged battery life (airpods pro has 6 hours and you have to recharge by case, but lets be real the gym only should take 2 hours for most people). The only problem with my xm4s is that when you sweat while doing exercise it can get really nasty in the earcups, as they don't provide airflow because of active noise cancelling. Also when I run with them, they reverb your footsteps depending on the mode, it can get annoying. SO tl;dr, airpods pro for everyday use/gym, xm4's for travelling and work. But in all honesty, they both can do the job well, it's just preference at this point but these are my two cents.
I haven't tried these yet, but the newer Boise quite comfort 2... I took that trash back. Straight garbage. Pitchy sound with garbage equalizer where you have to have treble low and volume on max still isn't enough. I still use my wired Bose from 15 years ago.. But the wires are starting to show...
No thanks, had the 1st gen AirPods till I got sick of the battery not holding charge so I just picked up the 2nd gen pro, the sound quality sucks compared to the first gen, yes there’s more bass but the mids and treble legit sound like cheap plastic compared to the first gen. ALSO about 7/8 months after I had the first gen overnight the sound cancellation turned down a good amount. Now they say the sound cancellation is 2x better than the 1st gen and I can say it’s about the same level as when I got the 1st gen, nice trickery but nah I’m returning these and getting the first gen fixed. I love the previous pros and I still use them everyday, yes the new features are great but I care more about sound quality, what a shame
Got them today to replace my AirPods 3rd generation wow what a big difference between the two. The 3rd generation was so damn buggy like you was talking about ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Personally, as an AirPods Pro G2 owner, I loved all of the features. I just got the case back from my mom today because I accidentally left it in her car this morning 😂
I have those for few weeks now. I have to say I agree with everything you’ve said except one thing. Noise cancellation is great, but transparency mode is horrible. It’s good only for very loud and sudden noises, if you have a white noise around you the airpods just bring it inside your ears and you can’t hear anything and have to put maximum volume. Transparency mode is awful I either use noise cancellation or turn it off completely.
Ur wrong. U can also change the amount of noise that comes in through transparency mode. Try it out and play with it more before complaining abt a fixable problem
I tuned into this video to decide if I should get Apple care +, I always have problems with AirPods around mechanical issues, this seems like a big relief but I’m still gonna get it 😂

For me it's the quality all the way - the sound quality, controls/charging etc. If money is not obstacle any and all AirPods is the right choice. BUT - I haven't seen a lot of talk about this but if you listen to music/tv/whatever for a few hours every day - none of these products survive beyond 2 years. @@MidwestPyro55 True. I think it just should be mentioned. Along the lines - pay €200 and you get the best pods but by the way with regular use they only last max. 2 years.
my airpods pro lasted 3 years before the left one had an enormous amount of bass, the right one along with the case worked fine. I honestly think it's because I kept dropping it in water. So it could've lasted longer if it weren't for me.

Plus if commuting bitrate going to drop as relying on cellular towers. I say if you have a iPhone just go to store and buy some pro 2 you won’t regret decision as they are good and dropped to $199. They sound good for price and unlike the pro 1 that I regretted buying but the AirPods Pro 2 use daily pretty much. They sound well balanced with decent sub bass and not drowning out midrange which most typically do, so you can listen to heavy rock and various other genres and sound great.
This is only possible if you can support your bigger data download while streaming on the move.
apple care on any device is necessary the battery swaps right before you sell your device boosts the resell value immensely.
But it needs to meet their 80% criteria in their diagnostics test right? It’s not a guaranteed battery replacement afaik?
Did Apple announce the release of APP3?
I use mine every day of the week for sometimes 14 hours a day at my job and I use the new touch controls probably 100 times a day and I never have any issues.
The 1st gen was released 2019 and 2nd in 2022 so obviously the 3rd gen will be released by 2025…
Yeah you are right
I would not buy it again.
Just bought a set. This review caught me up. Thanks!
I have the AirPods Max as well, and you can’t really compare the quality, the max are far higher in quality, but perhaps the bass is a little bit tighter on the AirPods Pro 2 to my ears. For watching movies on appletv I always prefer my AirPods Max though, since they are more comfortable.
Expensive af
Not value for money
Is the AirPods Max louder than pros while watching movies on Apple TV?
@@Heiwvwivs true, I got them when Amazon dropped the price by $200 for one day
Lmao it better better for an extra 350 dollars
@@simdevils I’ll look that up today. Would be awesome if I could just mail them in
@@user-fi6hg8vq6c If you are eligible they will send you an empty box for you to mail it to them, they will send it back to you when replaced.
Have a few holidays booked for the Summer and it was a toss up between these and the MAX and these only marginally won.
how u finding the airpods?
Hey do you see the AirPods battery percentage in the battery widget? Somehow I don’t see it after the firmware upgrade.
Yeah I got that, the case dies so freakin fast it’s annoying cause my AirPods 2 didn’t
Same here case drains fast
Go crazy, and do the next review video and make your whole apartment into a jungle. “Yes, the sound you DON’T hear because of the ANC is the humidifier and a couple of gibbons, the little rascals” 🐒🐒🌴
Love the way you show the H2 chip in a package that couldn't fit into the product.
Do u have mic issues with call while in car or outside ? I replaced my pods now but still the problem persists
I have the Airpods 2nd Gen and I totally agree with the bugs
For the money I'm tempted. But being on a strict budget, I'm saving up for an Amazon Refurb M1 Mac Mini instead. Still only around $450.
I advise you to get the 16gb version. 8gb is simply not enough in 2023.
@@beastinfection638 Too late - already bought the 8 GB version. Honestly, It runs Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro just fine. I'm really enjoying it. The point of the machine was how cheap it is.
If you're an Android user, you can use a phone with reverse-wireless charging to charge the airpods case as well.
I really wish Apple would unlock this on the iPhones. The tech has been there since iPhone 12 but they don’t allow it..
Good review. Thank you.
Can’t you just ad a shortcut file to soundkeeper in the startup folder?
Great review 🔥🔥🔥🔥so dope🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your battery concerns interest me. I have had my AirPods 2nd Gen. For about two years and the batteries have held up surprisingly well in the buds. I still can get around 5 hours, and I kill them almost daily
Awesome info! Thanks for sharing!!!
Just got these with a MagSafe charger and memory foam tips included for like $160
Normal AirPods never fitted for me, but these ones actually fit a bit better
eartips difference. They have different eartips material. Gen 1 is much more of a hard silicone while gen 2 is a much flexible one
Does the case lid move a bit side to side, or is that an issue with my case only?
5:10 I don't feel adaptive transparency works at all for me. When I walk down the street in transparency mode and a motorcycle passes, nothing changes on the Airpods Pro. I hear the motorcycle so loud that I can not hear my content anymore.
Have this coming tomorrow. First iPods tbh, upgrading from faulty Linkbuds S (which I loved but broke) and I am now on iPod. Cool to see USB-C on the case now, so watch for old models!
I'm daily driving a pair of Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 buds but honestly, for $189 I'd get a pair, even without having an iPhone.
I have a case and the quick charge does not work soo I do like that I can plug it in, I really love my AirPods Pro 2
My favorite airpods besides the max so far
Glad I’m not the only one with the issues mentioned in the video with the first gen AirPods Pro. Will consider getting the 2nd or upcoming 3rd version with the AirPods Max eventually
Just ordered mine cuz I lost my gen 1s otw to the club tonight
Are these good with noise cancellation on lawn mower
I bought these as an “upgrade” to my bose free sport wireless.. the bose didnt have noise cancelling but that is the only thing they were missing. Im disappointed to be fair
Hi,
Does the latest Airpod Pro (2n Generation?) still support the functions of hearing aid (mild to medium loss)? Any improvements in the hearing aid functions over the previous versions? Thanks.
I just got the pro 2 with usb c. It’s been a year since this video so have you experienced noise from the ear buds?
Just picked up the pro 2 yesterday. Extremely disappointed with noise canceling for high pitch noises. Hoping a firmware fixes them, otherwise I am returning them. While I love all the features over my pro 1s, the noise canceling seems worse.
What is going on ?
Im still considering , if pro 2's noise canceling is bad , I would rather just go for Huawei freebuds
How sound proof are they?
Nice review! Where’d you get your tshirt?
If you care a super ton about it's multipoint connection and noise cancelling, wait until it's closer to 150$ Otherwise, no, not at all. It's sound signature is also just tuned badly. I have 20$ IEMs that are tuned better.
Do they stay in your ear when running?
LOVE mine! Had the 1st generation but all the upgrades are SO worth it!
I chose AirPod Pro 2 instead of Sony XM5 because the previous xm4 started having battery issues a year after I bought it. NC on AirPods Pro 2 is fantastic!!!
Wow i had the exact same issue with xm4 (have had them for 8 months) and im considering air pods pro 2
They’re phenomenal and surprise me everyday
I love them but they don’t fit my ears right. Does anyone know any good ear tips to use
I just got them and they sound great. Haven't tried the spatial audio yet. Thanks for reminding me about how good it is. Cheers!
You are the seventh
For watching movies on Apple TV does the max have more volume than AirPod pro or are they the same?
Just got mine used for 100$ of ebay did I get scammed 😢
I think you did
I’m really seriously thinking about getting some of these but rn I got some knockouts from Walmart n they work closely to the AirPods n they last all day n pretty much through until I go to bed n they have usb-c charger but they dont show up like the apple AirPods Pro on my iPhone wish they would still looking to buy Apple Watches soon n waiting for the iPhone 15 models coming in September
Are these only compatible with apple devices or they will work with any bluetooth device?
Not seeing it for $189 through Amazon
Same, I did not see it either
i just got some for 199 on Verizon but never saw a 189
im considering them and the Sony 1000xm4. has anyone used both and can tell me which one i should choose when i mainly go to the gym and runing? i love listening to music most of the day so battery wins in Sony but what about sound and comfort? thank you!
The Sony 1000xm4 is suffering from a battery drain issue right now because of their recent update just a heads up
@@helljumper115 so you prefer airpods with their waterproof system?
But in all honesty, they both can do the job well, it's just preference at this point but these are my two cents.
how does it compare to Bose earbuds ? is it better or about same sound quality ? and does Airpod pro2 work well with computer window pairing as well ?
I haven't tried these yet, but the newer Boise quite comfort 2... I took that trash back. Straight garbage. Pitchy sound with garbage equalizer where you have to have treble low and volume on max still isn't enough. I still use my wired Bose from 15 years ago.. But the wires are starting to show...
I'm confused between sony xm4 and airpods 2 pro. Which one should i get?
airpods pro
Apple Watch face = ?
What watch face (the white one with the compass?) is that you are using. What is its name, please?
Excellent review, thank you very much. I think I'll get these.
Also the H2 chip is universal! I love the fact that it switches from my iPhone 12 to my asus vivobook quick!
I hate when Apple degrades their older product through software updates 😢
The noise cancellation was so good but now is mediocre at best…
Nothing has happened like that, i m using airpods pro 1 & they are still v good
No thanks, had the 1st gen AirPods till I got sick of the battery not holding charge so I just picked up the 2nd gen pro, the sound quality sucks compared to the first gen, yes there’s more bass but the mids and treble legit sound like cheap plastic compared to the first gen.
Love mine! Got them brand new at a crazy discount $110
How?!?!?!?!
I guess I missed out on the amazon deal. I click on the link and it doesn't appear. darn!
Best tech channel on RUclips
Got them today to replace my AirPods 3rd generation wow what a big difference between the two. The 3rd generation was so damn buggy like you was talking about ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wait what about he nothing AirPods you promoted recently ?
Whats on your thumb bro. You good?
Personally, as an AirPods Pro G2 owner, I loved all of the features. I just got the case back from my mom today because I accidentally left it in her car this morning 😂
The sale is $229, not $189
@@joenissan yea so
I never once mentioned a sale
I have those for few weeks now. I have to say I agree with everything you’ve said except one thing. Noise cancellation is great, but transparency mode is horrible. It’s good only for very loud and sudden noises, if you have a white noise around you the airpods just bring it inside your ears and you can’t hear anything and have to put maximum volume. Transparency mode is awful I either use noise cancellation or turn it off completely.
Ur wrong. U can also change the amount of noise that comes in through transparency mode. Try it out and play with it more before complaining abt a fixable problem
I tuned into this video to decide if I should get Apple care +, I always have problems with AirPods around mechanical issues, this seems like a big relief but I’m still gonna get it 😂
Я все еще удивляясь, когда вижу на этом канале каких-то русских музыкантов, причем уже не в первый раз. Дак еще и предпочтения максимально близки 😂

How’s noice cancellation agsinst voices? I thought it would be “silence” with airpods 1 but i was pretty underwhelmed
Just got my AirPods Pro. They can drown out consistent sound, but voices and esp crying babies have no problem getting to your ears
11 months later, it's probably worth wait for the Pro 3, they drop in like september when iPhone 16 release.
2025 is more likely
the battery case always „dings“ when it only has about 50% charge left. so I‘m always reminded to charge the case. 🎉
I’m going to get a set and see how good noise canceling is I’m a aluminum welder and I’m going to crank it to 300 hz and see how they do normally I couldn’t even stand being in the room with the frequency on that welder that high it’s an instant migraine
Best last minute Christmas present ever
Does anyone know what that white /aluminium MagSafe upright charger is?
For me it's the quality all the way - the sound quality, controls/charging etc. If money is not obstacle any and all AirPods is the right choice. BUT - I haven't seen a lot of talk about this but if you listen to music/tv/whatever for a few hours every day - none of these products survive beyond 2 years. I think it should be mentioned somewhere.
Edit: the charging works with Qi certification (I can't be imagining this as I've charged mine with Qi for a long time. Is there an earlier version that was not compatible?)
So it could've lasted longer if it weren't for me.
guys i want buy a airpods pro gen 2 but also i want play video games on windows can i feel any delay (pc has bluetooth 5 )
Nope, I have the AirPods Pro 1 and I use them on my windows PC and I get 0 delay
What if they built an iPod Nano into the AirPods Pro charging case??🤔
I don’t like the fit of the AirPods Pro, they hurt my ears a bit with prolonged use, I prefer the regular AirPods gen 2 fit. Those I forget I am even wearing them.
