    I can't speak for all but although this would not be the typical walkthrough for a tourist, I wouldn't mind seeing areas of town that would not normally interest anyone.

    • @insomb

      There are streets like that there but worse than you can imagine. This wasn't those, they were close though. Also being homeless and crazy isn't a crime.

  • @ACruz-kq9di
    @ACruz-kq9di 5 лет назад

    Looks like El Centro to me. Everybody goes to El Centro. Title is misleading. "Where Gringos Don't Walk" would be somewhere out in the comunas (San Javier, Robledo) or even just a normal neighborhood (Floresta, Velodromo).

    Hi Richard when will travel outside of the America’s? Go to Asia, Africa and more parts of Europe and actually be a ‘world traveller’ most the videos are recycled from the past 2 years.

    Not really an area Tourists would want to walk around, El Centro, as you say, is really just Wholesalers, and frequented by Locals stocking up their own shops, your second area, La Alpujarra is just concrete buildings, housing the Government of Antioquia, DIAN (who most people keep well clear of, unless they want to pay taxes!) and the main Criminal Court, that is why there are so many Police around, The one interesting feature there, is the old Railway Station, which still has a steam engine situated in the quadrangle. I'm not surprised Marwa was worried about flying his drone there.

    At 6:15 that is clearly a commercial zone so no, you won't see tourists because there's nothing to see. The rest of the video is very accurate just ordinary Paisas doing the everyday thing.

    • @RichardsWorld

      Most people could. I think most tourist want to see the top 10 things to do , and not see anywhere else. I have a lot of video from other areas that I need to edit any upload also. But, they aren't really dangerous, just very crowded shopping areas for locals.

    • @theeyeyeoyin
      @theeyeyeoyin 6 лет назад +5

      Tourists are not recommended to walk in these streets because that is the hood and if they see you're foreign, they'll most likely rob you

      The area it’s a historical site ,el parque de las luces ,it’s beautiful ,lots of tourist go to visit that area and there are some tours too,as in every city ,there are place that you need to be more careful and no be flashy .
      This video was done at the end of the year ,from sep till January it’s the most busy time in Medellin due to tourism,Followed by the feria de las Flores in August..

      IS MUCH BETTER IF YOU STAY AWAY OF COLOMBIA FOR YOUR OWN SAFE there is plenty of violent crime, such as homicide, assault, and armed robbery, is common. Organized criminal activities, such as extortion, robbery, and kidnapping for ransom, are widespread.
      A terrorist organization, the National Liberation Army (ELN), continues plotting possible attacks in Colombia. They may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas. The Colombian government has not yet signed a peace agreement with the ELN.If you look vulnerable before the eyes of any colombiano then you probably "estas dando papaya" a colloquial term that is used to refer to a person who is walking unnoticed from the evil that surrounds him or her.Plus if you want to enjoy paradise Beaches, go to Puerto Rico, Bahamas,Hawaii or Jamaica .The few beaches of Colombia are polluted and crowded with street vendors that will make your stay in a living hell.Here is the place to go. PUERTO RICO a USA commonwalth federal territory.ruclips.net/video/hTKeouSCKCc/видео.html
