Just illustrates that 'Punk Rock' was an illusion...........it was always a social movement anyway, hate for hate's sake. Punkoids respected Bolan, mind u
We Rex fans can’t tell what’s our Top 3/5/10/20 collection of his songs. Impossible, “ this one, yes... no I forgot this one..”. For me even the Top 30 would be a very difficult task! And that’s simply the reason we love it still today, message 🤔?
Chariot Choogle was going to be released as the next single but was pulled and Children of the Revolution was released instead. Both superb tracks but I do believe that if Chariot Choogle had been released it would have gone to the number one posistion in the charts
Marc was right there with Bowie and Iggy, about a decade ahead of their time. It's like they were from another planet. Only Iggy remains, but the music lives on. If Mike Patton and Fantomas and Melvins cover your music, you did something right
Aww you are a groove You're like the planets when you move See the winter 'coming In a two finned caddy Gonna walk upon the waters Go ooo yea Girl you gotta cook You got the chariot by the hook I'm riding in the rain Got my blue suede shoes Gonna give up all my pain And go ooo yea Baby you know who you are Baby you know who you are Don't you know who you are Standing on your porch You wear your pleasure like a torch Hiding in the road Like a Pasolini toad Gonna give up all my load And go ooo yea
I think this a brilliant track. Slider Magic. “ baby who know who you are...” The thing with these brilliant videos you made is that I now remember when I for the first time played it after having opened the LP. That hurts a little bit and at the same time is amazing. “ They call it “ unboxing” nowadays;).
I have never heard or heard of this song...I discovered it thru Fantomas... Dave Lombardo and Buzz Osbornes group, with the Faith no More guy... trippy song...Fantomas is a trippy group...but Dave Lombardo is my 2nd favorite drummer of all time after Bonzo...
+Miles Needham I bought this T.Rex album when it came out, but i love the fact that Fantomas covered it. Patton is a vocal genius, Trevor Dunn is a bass player extraordinaire, Dave Lombardo is a drummer par excellance and Buzz Osbourne is just Buzz. Respect to T.Rex and Fantomas
fucking love Fantomas.Seen em live three times...and that fnm guy?Only the greatest unknown vocalist ever.Ah and the trio convulsant's Trevor Dunn on bass as well.
T. Rex (often called Same or Brown Album), Electric Warrior, The Slider are 10 out of 10 albums, Tanx a 9/10 or even 9,5/10 . Some too rate Zinc Alloy very high what I don’t. A serious of brilliant B-sides in 1972, let alone 4 no. 1 hits and 4 more Top 10 Chart Hits known by everyone. And at least 4 to 5 great songs from the three last albums. And nothing is said so far about the 4 albums pre 1970 when the band was Tyrannosaurus Rex still, two of them classics ( Unicorn, Beard of Stars) at least even for „ more seriously minded“ professional Music experts. That’s T. Rex. Taste it.
mark flowers...yep, me too...my faves are zep, slayer, bon scott ACDC, BOC, intoxicated aerosmith, sabbath, ufo, priest, dianno maiden, pat travers, trower....like that...
Marc was the best "Yeah!" shouter in rock history! 👍🏼👍🏼

Punk rock before punk rock

More Bolan genius right there!

What a belter this is. Such a slow burner with a deep groove, amazing track.
The power of strange somewhat mad lyrics sung with great conviction. The backing vocals by Flo and Eddie shine on this song!
My wig is all pooped listening to this.... Pure rawk.. Love it
Chariot Choogle was going to be released as the next single but was pulled and Children of the Revolution was released instead. Both superb tracks but I do believe that if Chariot Choogle had been released it would have gone to the number one posistion in the charts

Marc was the innovator, he paved the way for many, without Bolan there is no Bowie.

Phenomenal riff!
queens of the stone age have this kinda feel...lots of reverb on the guitars along with the slide

Nice vid, mate! Great song.
Heavenly
It is good this video . What if T. rex could be remixed and all the string sections removed? Great guitar solo at end of this song in video.
Hot damn!
🤪 viva T-REX
Flo Eddie crazy lead
2 fin caddy ha
Song has it all
Video is very cool also
brilliant
Sounds similar to Whole Lotta Love by Zeppelin. I must admit I prefer this song
Filthy riffs. Who is the peasant who gave the one thumbs down?
Maybe they didn't like the visuals...............can't be the track
A fool.
A simpleton. Nay a philistine who will be eaten by a wizard and a raw ramp.
A peasant with poor taste. The worst kind!
@@toefltoeic8290 I like the way you think. 😊
It’s T.REX. Just said.
Great vid anyway.
7 people did know who they were.
