I was just about to throw out my old foam mattress pad. So glad I can re-use it now and not have to buy polyester fill. Great idea! More money left for dog treats.
Oh my God I love this idea Dollar general has twin bed egg crates like that for $8 they're big... And then Joann's fabrics have the fleece on sale in the summer 😁 I have great danes so their beds are like $50 a piece this is awesome I can make this for 12 bucks each... I'm going to put it in a large garbage bag so it won't soil the egg crate mattress topper and then just not tie one end tightly and use that to remove the cover so I can wash it!!! Thank you so much I love this idea you saved me a lot of money!!😁
NO PINS! DANGEROUS! PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS! I want to ask if you're crazy but that would be rude. It's possible your pup could get in a tear up/chew up mode, then what? Think about it. That's very, very dangerous, pins would injure your pup's mouth or be ingested! Just sayin' NO NO NO! 🐾❤️
That would be a great idea. I'm thankful I own and know how to use a sewing machine because I literally recycle 2 large dog beds that I payed way too much for , and combine the 2 so that there is an actual decent amount of cushion and just measure and sew up a case as if it were a pillowcase.
@@xeno5978 in the video she grabbed the bottom and top and then made 2 knots. Well on one side they can just do 1 knot and I would not make real tight and this way you can untie, pull out the cover off to wash and then tie back up with 1 knot when washed.
You can use E6000 glue it’s ok with gentle wash also you can cover foam in filler store table cloth to make it vomit proof and just take cover out and wash.
I would purchase two tablecloths made of fabric from the dollar store for a couple of bucks instead of fleece blankets that are much more difficult to keep clean. Although, fabric table cloths are thinner, they can be simply wiped down or easily replaced.
I think this is a great idea if you have a mattress pad already lying around, but if not it’s probably more practical just to make one. I think there’s other great thing you could do to take it to the next level have a way to make it washable. I love this idea though!
I had a talk with my two awesome dogs and beautiful cat (the only cat I could ever love). I told them, “I’ll pay the bills, by them food, give them love and shelter, and all they have to do is live at home.” That if they leave and something happens to them, that’s on them. And i am not going to cry if they leave the safety of our home. I had to give them the talk
Turn the exterior material inside-out and then follow the remaining video. The knots should be on the interior, so they don't collect animal hair, dust and whatever else. A smoother exterior is a much better choice.
I just fold the fleece under the foam pad. Sure it moves around a bit... Bu hey we make our beds daily (riiight?), Also the added benefit of easy wash removal. And I have 2-3 dog fleeces in rotation. One is washing while another fresh one stays on. And finally, the foam pad eventually gets dirty, and torn up, etc, so need to swap it out once or twice a year. Wish it was washable, or more disposable... Which is why I came leave here. Oh well, keep searching.
Not being able to wash this - it would get disgusting, and it’s not water proof so saliva and any liquid will just soak in, The material is not ideal. It may be easier but not worth it in the long run. I would sew a covering using a canvas fabric that would be water resistant, and then a cover that zips to go over that that’s a softer more comfortable fabric that you can remove and wash. - more work but will last and be easy to clean.
Awesome! Looking forward to this simple, crafty treat for my pups and cats!

So sorry for your loss. I lost one of my cats recently as well. Much love. ❤
This is great. I used my gel mattress pad and put it in a huge plastic cover and tied the fleece on top. Now the actual gel won’t get damaged or dirty
Thanks for sharing the details for making a great no sew dog bed!
VERY CREATIVE!

maybe use velcro on one side so you can easily remove it to wash it.
Another idea to be able to remove for washing would be to single knot 1 side or maybe pin close 1 side so it's easily removable to clean
Can you please explain more ?

Would Velcro work? Easy to apply, easy to remove to wash?
I think it would and is a good idea. You'd have to sew the Velcro on and they are showing how to do it without sewing at all.

This is the best bed.

Aww XD
She seemed irritated esp with the remarks from Cam

The mattress pads are eight bucks at Dollar general and their twin size they're big 😁
Fleece is a fur magnet

I love this idea! Thank you! :)
nice tip I can surely save money by recycling an old mattress for my furbabies bed
Great idea!
Tie 3 side and the edges of the other, tuck in the open side
Awesome

Prefect, my dog keeps ripping open the poly filled beds

What about a bed that's for Great Danes way bigger than 110lbs lol... more like 200lbs each
Chrissy Schwery I agree I have one
Altoid Bazingá they have toddler beds lol
my labrador loves to sleep in my shih tzu bed
if you liked this idea give a thumbs up below
Cool but nonfunctional. My dog would vomit on it the first day and it would be hard to wash.
How do you wash it lol
Imagine being her family she cancels Christmas because her 21 year old cat died
what about Bed Bug :)
Hate to wash it you'll be untying all year to get it off😄😄😄😄😄
good idea but this video is so cringy
she forgot a good manicure
Sometimes people should keep their opinions to themselves. This wasn't a manicure video. Great idea, fun to do with the grandkids. 😊
