@@chaotickreg7024 IIRC the various Bowsers' fire breaths are random too (well, the fire moves in a straight line once it's there, but the way Bowser spits it is random).

Yknow it’s funny. Simple always has a way of making me feel like I’m not doin well enough in life. Maybe 2 tries into the desert bus weird dog level I would have been like heck this and moved on. This is what makes him the professional though, where he sees a determined challenge I see a bit of a burden. Makes me want to try harder tbh and push myself a little more by comparison. Great vid as always simple. 👏🏾👏🏾

That first level was fucking devious, that second level was a good learning opportunity and the third level was the epitome of levels that make me realize I say epitome like "ep-ih-tohm" internally. Desert Bus in Mario is a treasure, and also probably a torture method.

The submitted levels were very game mechanics focused and it felt like Carlsagan's uno mas levels.
I feel that antisoftlock is evil even by carl's standards. Sure he had the bit with the lemmy balls in the underwater level but no timer with on/off blocks.

Tags don't work like that. They have no effect on where it's found, just what the level creator (and the public if allowed) deem it to be.
@@Meteorite_Shower I've heard several other smm2 creators say that the singleplayer tag is supposed to keep a level out of VS. It seems pointless to let a creator tell you their level is built for singleplayer and then put it into multiplayer anyway.

Well, I'm gonna say they're wrong, either through assumption or word of mouth from others who got the wrong idea. As far as I understand it (so who knows, maybe I'm 100% wrong too) voting on a level after playing it in VS is what helps put levels in and out of VS.

Maybe, but honestly, if there were special functions attached to the single/multiplayer tags, it seems weird to just lump them in with a bunch of descriptive tags that don't, especially when you can just outright ignore them altogether as such.

It's almost like fun is subjective, and everyone has different ideas of what's enjoyable

You see, Yoshi's flutter completely sets your vertical speed so for horizontal jumps it's optimal to flutter late while you're falling quickly so that you take advantage of double the time spent gradually accelerating downwards instead of max falling speed.

Tolerable annoying: takes forever because of the sheer length of the level combined with the technicality of the platforming
Intolerable annoying: takes forever to make any progress at all and full of randomness, plus the possibility of having to repeat a section, and has tight timing.

This man genuinely asked how much more level was left on a Desert Bus level.
All that speculation about frame-perfect jumps and momentum conservation and p-speed on that one conveyer... and really, it was just a failure to jump at the actual edge.

My favorite thing about you will always be your willingness to see a challenge you want to overcome to the end. Knowing that once you set your mind to it, success becomes inevitable because of sheer will power...it's very respectable. I know there's been plenty of tough challenges where you go "I dunno man...", but the fact that once you feel it's worth doing, you do it, even if it means going back on the "last try I swear", it's seriously such a mood I vibe with.

true but it was kind of to be expected because historically the uncleared series usually only has a few levels per vid because they usually take a while to beat. weird dog isnt even the hardest level in the uncleared series. so if he continues to do viewer levels id expect it to be kind of like that.
The dark theme didn't surprised me, dark theme seems so much more natural/logical, what surprised me is that I forgot you were using light them xD

I just got an idea for my own Desert Bus level. It probably won’t be uncleared for long simply because it will be designed to be more monotonous than technical, much like the original Desert Bus, but it should still be difficult to do.
The only thing is how to make it so that you can’t just hold Y +
why are there random cuts in between you in the air like you’re lagging almost
It's to keep the pacing going. Simple tends to briefly stop talking when he concentrates so in order to keep his sentence clear and with no pauses the editor cuts out the pauses which makes the "weird random cuts" as you call it. They are not random, they are deliberate to make simples sentences complete and uninterrupted which makes for a more easy flowing pace of the video.
@@FyrenRei these are different. sometimes it does look like the video itself stutters, and not just to cut off a very small pause in Simples words. 16:36 is just one example i could find. if it was intentional at that point, it would be very odd ass it seems like only a few frames were skipped.

That dog is pretty weird. My dog has no problem running against conveyors and strong winds at the same time.
Also making precise jumps and bouncing off saws in high wind.
