Good idea re that 2" gap along one side to make stuffing bed coverings possible along that wall.
That was my wife's idea, I can't take credit for that but I totally agree. It makes a huge difference.
Thanks for the video Craig.
Your method of building a platform for a bed in the trailer seems doable.
How Very •special• it is to have access to the thoughts, tutelage, & entertainment of humanity, accessible in the palm of my hand eh?
🙏🦉
Thanks for watching!
Awesome Craig, love the video, thanks for showing us fellow Range Runners another bed platform solution!
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
May want to consider drilling bunch of large dia holes in plywood so air can get to bottom side of mattress. Alternatively, believe there's a relatively thin material yacht folk use below their mattresses to avoid same issue.
Nah, I store it indoors. I put a long skinny cardboard box under the mattress to get it off the plywood when in storage. I keep a little dehumidifier in there too.
Very nice....
Thank you!
Great Tips. I Love these little campers.

You’re welcome 😊 thanks for watching!
Great idea. Thanks.

Thanks for posting more details on your bed build. I’m trying to convince myself
to go E-W in ours, but I’m taller and just don’t know if I can.
Thinking about doing a hybrid. Saving the piece I cut off as a backrest by day in couch mode and the flip to the ground as a foot rest by night so we can have the hall and the room to spread out.
I'm just under 6' and I wish I had a little more room to stretch out but I sleep curled up so it doesn't hinder sleep. The additional room at the doors is well worth it to me.
Great vid. Thanks!

I like your idea but I'm to tall for a bed like that. I went with the fold up bed that turns into a couch. It works good for us but I like your idea for the storage under the bed. One thing I did that you might be interested in is I put moon roof visors over the windows so they can be open in the rain. If interested I can give you the product number and how I did them. Thanks.
Yeah I've seen those. We haven't needed them yet but it's a great idea.
Nice job with the platform! Looks like the camper is coming together. What's next on your list?
Thanks! I'll be playing with new solar technology next, and we're preparing for our big trip to Colorado in a few weeks!
What size are the totes under the bed? Btw love your interior and keep up the good work.
Thanks! I'm really not sure but we want bigger ones. And the lids aren't working out so we're removing them for now but plan to replace the totes when we find bigger ones. They're called under bed totes if you search for them.
Looks great! i have one question. Is the wood mounted in any way to the camper? And if not.....Does it move around at all during transit? Thanks.
Nope, it's not mounted. The way I notched the plywood around the door frame doesn't allow it to move. Also, I've since put hinges on the plywood so I can raise the front half to allow easier access to the totes underneath. That's been working out way better.
I like how you left enough room for storage underneath. We value the hallway in our tiny camper as well. Do you know how much weight it added to your camper?
No I didn't weigh the lumber, I'd guess around 50 pounds. It sits right over the axle so it's well balanced, it's probably not enough weight to affect the towing.
Can you tell me the three number for wheel mesurements on you camper please?😊
The tire size?
Why didn't you use 1x8?
To give me just enough room for storage underneath and keeping enough headroom to sit upright on the bed.
