I love the line “ you can’t see a broken brain”. I have had three traumatic brain injuries, plus have Fibromyalgia, and a couple other genetic disorders which all affect cognition. I am not stupid, yet many times I sound unintelligent. I really like that line and I will be using it in the future. Thank you

I’m so glad they brought up Robin William’s mental health issues. Bc the line “you can’t see a broken brain” can apply to more than just TBI. It can quite easily apply to mental health issues. I can walk around and talk to friends or acquaintances and they don’t see my broken brain and the emotional pain it causes.

I've had a bad traumatic brain injury myself. I got hit at 50 miles an hour from the back of my cat. I had just finished paying car payment and got a full tank of gas. Was on my way to pickup my husband and bam. My life changed, my personality shifted, I was out of work 4 months. It's hard because so many people say you look fine. It's hard, I still have issues from it.

I also loved how she talked about initially bristling at what the doctor had to say and then realising that, healthwise, he was correct and acting on that. I have been through something similar and was lucky to have a doctor who was honest but empathic. Dealing with the emotional side of these issues is 100% as important as the physical.

I really love Rebel. She is one of the most authentic people I ever hear from, famous or not. That genuineness of her spirit draws people to her. I was so glad to have an update for her. I watch for all her movies, and while I appreciate the funny ones, certainly, I am ready to see her in a drama like this. I can't wait to see it. And I can't wait to see that award for her either. Sometimes, it's the "knowing" of something that drives us. I congratulate her on her new birth. I have loved all of her evolutions in the years of her celebrity.
I honestly think that setting a goal of more than weight loss is imperative for weight loss, also working on your mental health is probably the number one thing. You might lose weight without working on your mental health, but I don't think you can keep it off without doing so. It's the only way I've been able to lose weight myself, going from 300 to 215 lbs and sticking to my healthier lifestyle of better food, and exercise for almost 8 months. For me, the career I wanted and not wanting to feel sick and weak all the time was my first push. I won't lie, of course, aesthetics do play a big part, who doesn't wanna look good in their clothes? But I think not as much as the ability to live a full life, and better physical and mental health.
Wow, what an amazing interview!!!!! I used to think she was similar to her ditzy characters. Not at all…she’s smart and articulate, she’s real and down to earth, she’s confident and courageous, and she’s wickedly funny.

That's so important to know that inside work needs to be done when physically changing too or vise versa. 💕 And I too have a imperfect brain so I look forward to watching this movie ☺️
I'd like to thank Rebel for opening up about her journey to create a family of her own. I do know a woman who has been through so much of this same thing, and it is very difficult to deal with. Women have so much responsibility, and the expectations from society for women to excel and thrive in a career just like a man does, but yet they have to deal with the discrimination and challenges of that, all while their fertility and future family is one the line. Honestly, it's just not fair really. So many insurance companies look as a luxury, not a necessity of life. Yep, life is just to fair, we've a long way to go. Can't leave without mentioning how much I enjoy seeing Maria Shriver doing these interviews. I'd really life to see her doing the long in-depth interviews, like what Barbara Walters used to do, and Diane Sawyer. This was nice, getting to know Rebel Wilson as so much more than just a funny lady.
Excellent interview by Maria! I enjoyed this RUclips recommendation and hope Rebel will have a long career - but most of all a wonderful life with her adorable kid and her partner 💕

Thank’s Rebel, for being this trully and amazing human ! All my admiration down from Quebec!
Brain injuries are very traumatic for the family, it's akin to having a stroke and having to relearn things. It forces you to use alternative techniques to do the best you can. I had a horrible accident that resulted in traumatic brain injury
I would love people to accept their faces a little bit more, than they do now in Hollywood. Why can't women have wrinkles? I would love to be able to see if someone has thought deeply, loved deeply or has experienced life with all the sorrow and put herself back together again. Why take this away before you get to know your face as it would be? Why not take the best care of yourself without injecting foreign substances into your skin? I hope we will get there ❤️ and of course people need to make their own decisions, it's just that there is so much pressure not to age that people tend to run for the botox as soon as they show signs of natural ageing.
I can not believe that an experienced, intelligent woman such as Maria Shriver keeps saying, " like" as if she's a ditzy teenager. That really spoiled the interview for me.
I found the same thing with performing as an introvert. That's why I always had stage names as a musician too. To create that divide and sort of play pretend. Whatever works 💪
In 2009, I was a healthy young (ish) woman, out walking my dog, on a beautiful February morning. The sidewalk was dry, except for this one patch of snow. Unfortunately, the snow was hiding a patch of ice, and I slipped, and fell into a sitting position. No big deal. I'm 5'4" tall, so I only fell a couple of feet. But I heard a huge "crack" sound. My elbow had shattered, tearing loose the tendons in my lower arm. I could literally twist my free hanging lower arm 180 degrees. Twas a bad break. Surgery. Titanium pins in my arm. This stuff seems silly when you are young. Be careful out there. 😉
I am astonished that she is so capable. She's also a lawyer. The one thing that bothers me is that Rebel and Maria are both overusing the "like" in their sentences. It frustrates me to hear the sentences broken up all the time. Ahh, but I guess we have to give her A flaw.
Rebel is going thru a phase of unconditional love. Herself, partner, new baby and her family and friends. I'm so happy as it seems she has let go of her some insecurities and is living her best life. Good for her.

I love how she just gives life a bloody good go!
What a sooooo nice an authentic person! She’s nothing more than true, natural and simple, haz she’s gorgios ❤ For me, she’s the personality #1 of the year!!!! Love you Rebel!
Is name say all!
When is mother give her’s name, maybe that’s name give her the stretch, to be a STRONG Rebel. But maybe, she’s was just due to be caled R.E.B.E.L !
She’s a true tresor!!!
Thank’s Rebel, for being this trully and amazing human !
All my admiration down from Quebec!
Rebel isn't her real name. It's melanie.
One of my favorite actors... Your dreams become your reality 🙏🏼
Great Interview. BOTH of these women are Legends!
She seems so lovely! Rooting for Rebel 👍
Good for you for loving yourself and creating the life you want
I’ve always only seen her perform in some form (even in talk show interviews); she’s really a very lovely person.
Thank you for making Traumatic Brain Injury people don’t understand and family doesn’t get it
Brain injuries are very traumatic for the family, it's akin to having a stroke and having to relearn things. It forces you to use alternative techniques to do the best you can. I had a horrible accident that resulted in traumatic brain injury
I just love everything about this woman....and Maria too🥰
I just love her! She’s so relatable.
Excellent interview on the part of both participants...thank you!
What a charming and wonderful lady Rebel is, so happy for her!
Great interview and questions
I'm a TBI nurse. I gotta see it!
Hey can you give me a chance for work for you ?
Great questions , Maria . 😊
I can not believe that an experienced, intelligent woman such as Maria Shriver keeps saying, " like" as if she's a ditzy teenager. That really spoiled the interview for me.
Lovely interview, Rebel is incredible.
Maria didn’t catch on to some of her jokes, but I think she’s amazing and I love how she picks on herself.
She is beautiful inside and out ❤
Congratulations on the beautiful baby! Best wishes on the rest of your dreams coming true, from another Aussie!
What a great interviewer.
Living her life her way
Rebel is so genuine👍
The bathtub shaving scene was one of the funniest things I've seen.
Now she's given roles that she's always wanted.
Great interview!
I found the same thing with performing as an introvert. That's why I always had stage names as a musician too. To create that divide and sort of play pretend. Whatever works 💪
1:48 “We have a line that says, You Can’t See A Broken Brain!” On her new movie about Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Woot woot thanks for being a voice for tbi
So grateful
The baby part made me emotional
She has been through and accomplished so much. 👏🏽 Also, This video is poorly labeled.
Great that she’s done all that, seems much more chilled. Wish Hollywood would stop messing up peoples faces with fillers/Botox etc. Really unnatural
She’s so open and loving 😮
Great interview by 2 fabulous women 🌺
Love this woman.
I LOVE Rebel Wilson’s acting! 😀❤️👍
Nothing could have prepared me for whatever Maria Shriver has done to her face.
Loved this interview.
Go Rebel, you can get that Oscar!
I am astonished that she is so capable. She's also a lawyer. The one thing that bothers me is that Rebel and Maria are both overusing the "like" in their sentences. It frustrates me to hear the sentences broken up all the time. Ahh, but I guess we have to give her A flaw.
