    Ever try putting the blades in a vice and putting different imprits on em? Ive experimented with that and found those different vibes help so much.

    Great tips as always Matt. As a semi retired custom lure manufacturer. I like to drill out the holes in the blade just a bit to increase the squeak. Also make sure the tabs on each end of the blade for the holes are completely at a 90° angle. When replacing the rivet and you bend the wire at the very back end of rivet, I crimp that so that it stays fixed and will not move. This will help the sound. Before you crimp the rivet, make sure the blade has enough space to move freely up and down the shaft. Otherwise it will bind and not move freely.

      @@MattStefanFishing drilling out the holes a bit in the blade slightly larger than what they are now is the equivalent of what the old school guys used to do by tying them onto the antenna of their car and letting them drive down the highway. You're basically wearing in the blade which will increase the squeal.

      @@MattStefanFishing and have you ever tried using a ZCraw Jr or full size Z-Craw, instead of a skirt or a horny toad or other soft plastic baits. I've seen some other pros using the Z-Craw jr. Wondering if the full size Z-Craw would be too big and cause maybe some short strikes unless you were running a cheeter hook, but I feel a cheetah hook might interfere with the flappers on the Z-Craw

    Dude I watched your Tannic water video earlier today and I was lucky enough to receive my jabberjaw square bills yesterday a few of them where the old Gregg color darker square bill so my creek water is that tannic color you where talking about so I used old Gregg and caught 2 of the largest fish I’ve ever caught out of that creek a 4.4 lb and a 3.7 lb casting alongside the weed line I only had an hour too fish so I didn’t get to try out the other colors I got so I’m not sure if it’s the color choice or the actions of the jabberjaw can’t wait till next weekend to be able to fish again and try out the other ones have you used a 13 fishes Jabberjaw hybrid square bill I think it has a place in my toolbox after today thanks for giving me that color tip in tannic water it definitely worked out for me today. If u haven’t tried a jabberjaw I highly recommend it worked out great for me I’m waiting on 6th sense Axis too come put them head to head check into those baits if you haven’t

    Great info Matt, and there was a significant audible difference. Would you be willing to do a follow up video on how you tune a buzzbait to move left or right or how to fix one that already excessively moves at one of those angles?! Thanks!!!

      MHX MB843 rod. Its a MH fast action great for casting accuracy and strong enough to drive hook home and pull them out of cover.

    I’ve got a great idea for a buzzbait design that’s never been done and it’ll create a noise like no other. I wish I could sell the design to a manufacturer and get a little cash of each bait sold. I have a spinnerbait also that’s unlike any other that I’ve never shown anyone. It’s deadly and very different than any spinnerbait. It has more movement than any I’ve seen.

    I got mine to squeak by putting them in front of a fan. 🎣. But the way you showed us seems like a good idea too.
    If you use the fan idea.. don't let it run too long because I used a blower motor from a furnace and it wore through the metal blades 😳

    Bass don’t hear squeaking they feel vibration through the lateral line!

    • @MattStefanFishing
      @MattStefanFishing  3 года назад +5

      I would argue that they do hear squeaking, which creates acoustical energy or vibration, and then picked up with their lateral line and other sound perception organs.
