They are made in India like the Alto and Nissan Pixo , Indian people know how to make a reliable car as your roads are very harsh on cars , I used to own a Maruti engined Suzuki Wagon R it never went wrong , was still running great at 155 thousand miles when i sold it
I've been driving the 1.1 68/69 hp for almost 6 years now. Got up to 160 sometimes, but it really wasn't enjoyable, felt like floating over the road. I'd say that at 120 it stops being an enjoyable ride, with engine and aerodynamic noises getting more and more unpleasing
Not good in corners though as i just bought same car bloody expensive here in the UK £2800 got mine with a loan from family as need a car where i live but it is scary in corners , 2nd gear will do 100kmh lol
I do have the 65hp 1.1l iRDE engine model with automatic transmission, it's so slow only maxing out at 125-135km/h tops depending on weather and straight roads, and with downhill top speed at 155km/h... That's with cold air intake and custom freeflow exhaust installed, alongside new tires and lighter wheels... Is there a speed limiter on the ECU that needs to be remapped? It's been limited to that speed since the car was new.
Thank you for the comment! The 65hp 1.1 version is indeed noticeably less powerful. Considering the stock speed of a 1.1 of around 140 it is not doing too bad I think, however the one I drive should be slower when looking at the factory numbers (152 kph) as well. This specific i10 didn’t have any remapping and I am not sure if it would make a lot of difference considering the naturally aspirated engine. The automatic transmission could be ‘slowing down’ the car too!
@@isenautomotive339 ah, you're right! This car isn't really made for straight line top speed, but it can chew corners at pretty high speed with several suspension & tire upgrades, which made the car really fun to drive and gain advantage when facing against SUVs 🤣 I might also consider some serious engine upgrades for the future, but this will suffice for city driving, for now...
@@calvinlaudrensio415 that’s totally right! Cornering goes pretty well indeed, along with the reliability it’s a nice feeling. Probably some engine upgrading would be possible, worth to evaluate what the expenses are and if a bigger engine would be cheaper. Enjoy!😊

Just realising how much of a money grab scam it is to give high speed ticket in Canada, if you go above 120 kmph on a 3 lane highway. And that too when you have 2.5 litre engines punching out close to 200bhp which are capable of easily crossing 200kmph. Wish I could enjoy my vehicle atleast once in while, at these speeds.
