Bought this car as my first car a few months ago. I currently own the 2009 1.2 model and it has around 170k km on it. So today I also drived on the autobahn for the first time in this car, and at 140 km/h the steering wheel got a little shaky and the car began to vibrate by some extend. Is this normal behaviour or should I let it get checked out? I mean, the car is not meant for these speeds but still. Just curious!

I've been driving the 1.1 68/69 hp for almost 6 years now. Got up to 160 sometimes, but it really wasn't enjoyable, felt like floating over the road. I'd say that at 120 it stops being an enjoyable ride, with engine and aerodynamic noises getting more and more unpleasing

@@vito3266 i’m sure that the toyota engines will go many more miles. But considering the maintenance it might need in the future I’d say go for a version with less miles! :)

Thank you for your comment! In my opinion, it's a bit more comfortable compared to a regular petrol/diesel powered version since the e-tron version can take off only on electric power. It makes the city ride more comfy! :)
Ihave one 2012 1.2 86hp automatic its a great car 4 years ididnt change oil nothing and today runs like new one its so much great car and accelrate so much good and good traction i love this carr doing 21km/1litre

I own a 2012 model . Past 100kmph it feels like a boat 😂. Nonetheless very smooth and reliable engine .

I have same car must be bloody scary at 115 mph as thats what the conversion works out at , the weird thing is Hyundai state top speed at 105mph ? so maybe you were on a downhill run ? but still very fast for such a tiny car

No it doesn't
The transmission didn’t shift as fast as the newer ZF 8HP.
Does driving 180 km/h when the road is wet not bother you? I myself would prefer dry pavement before hitting that speed.

@@isenautomotive339 Holy hell!! I got up to around in the range of 207 to 213 km/h(129 to 132 mph). This is my fastest ever and I tell you what as I started to slow down the steering wheel started to shake. The vehicle is a 2020 Subaru Ascent and has 260 hp. I made a lane change at 185 km/h(115 mph) and that is the fastest I have ever made a lane change at. You just barely have to move the steering wheel. Crazy how quickly you come upon other people driving that fast. It was exciting but also really frightening as well. Not too shabby for a middle aged man.
I want 245 km/h(152 mph) to be my top speed and it is my final goal to reach. I will be 43 years old tomorrow and have drove in excess of 161 km/h(100 mph) dozens of times over the past 4 or 5 years in the US in Kansas. From 15 to 37 years old I never who have thought about going these speeds. SO basically from 38 up I until now I have driven 161+km/h(100+ mph) than I have in my entire driving career combined probably times 3 or 4.
Thank you for your comment! :) It's a nice goal to experience such speeds, but whatever you do: make sure it is in a safe and controlled environment where it is legally allowed! The German Autobahn allows for such speeds at some moments, but in the US it's a whole different story. So enjoy, but stay safe!

It’s a nice and economic car! The turbocharged 1.2 has some great power to it indeed, the 1.5 isn’t as updated as this engine yet! 💪🏼

@@venonixshottie1956 I think it's the more updated version, so you have a newer type of engine. I don't know in which country you live, but diesels are not the most favorable engines because of emission restrictions. I think the 1.0 will be the most economic one in terms of fuel consumption! :)
@@isenautomotive339 so i live in belgium and indeed with the emission restrictions are crazy here with old diesel engines like my opel corsa 2013 im not allowed in many city’s anymore so true that but arent the diesel engines a little bit more economic these days? Because im really doubting if im gonna buy a diesel motor of this car or not and i wanna know what the differences are between the two. But you already convinced me to buy this car in belgium! Great interior as well!

Thank you for your comment! It is a very comfortable car, mainly built for cruising I’d say. Not the sporty, catchy feeling of the sport editions of the German cars. Nevertheless, great ride quality!

What final drive ration diff can make this convertible reach that top speed? With my auto 330cic I have only managed to top at 210 km/p and not sure what ratio is my diff. Mdecoder says I have a short final drive
Hey Miko! Thank you for your comment. As far as I am aware, my car is fitted with a stock diff. What I can see is that the manual versions are fitted with a 2.93 rear diff and the automatic one with a 3.38.

I have the 2022 electric model of this vehicle and let me tell you this son of a bitch is fast as fuck it has three driving modes Eco normal and sport I always drive it on Eco I don’t need normal and definitely don’t need sport it is fast enough on eco. But a couple of times I have put it on sport and it is fucking ridiculous this be the acceleration and overtaking of 95 out of 100 cars on the road. Sport mode is REDICULOUSly fast an I remember a week ago I switched it to sport mode when a guy in a charger hell kitten I mean hell cat pulled up on the side an was being cocky When we took off my niro said NOPE. an when we got to the next light he pulled up an was like BROOOOO WTF ITS A FUCKING KIA 🤣😂🤣😂 I said yeah but an electric Kia he was like oh 🤦♂️ I said yeah
