Thanks for this video, I managed to get one of these used in great condition for £100, so I'm going to use the £50 I saved to get the fence you have and a couple blades
www.axminstertools.com/global/axcaliber-high-carbon-blade-1-575mm-62-x-9-5mm-3-8-6-tpi-471028 They have a variety of lengths etc. I personally bought the Axcaliber High Carbon Bandsaw Blade 1,575mm(62") x 9.5mm 6 Tpi SKU: 471028
Hi David, I would say so yes. The version I have came with the corrected fence but I wanted something more sturdy. The fence that came with does do the job though. It's worth remembering a few things though... The saw requires fettling to get it working nicely. (Especially the table) make sure you have a small machinist square to hand. A new blade is a must from a reputable manufacturer (mine is 3/4 from axeminster) I use this to cut out guitar body blanks and just about clear the throat depth so its worth remembering that. (My blanks are roughly 30x50 cm) Other than that I can happily report that since I did this video I have used this daily on soft and hard woods (and ally once) and other than a blade change I have had no issues at all. It's like with any machine, once you learn it's quirks you can account and adjust accordingly 👍 Just remember this isn't a record bandsaw and that is definitely reflected in the price. I hope that helps mate?
I have a old elu/dewalt bandsaw that I bought from a bloke that had it from new. He said he could never get on with it. He had done no set up at all so thought it was rubbish I’m guessing. It runs and cuts perfect now. A friends got the titan that you have and I’ll show him this as he was going to skip it!!! I made it run sweet like you have this one.
just got my saw today and was thinking of upgrading the fence too - do you recall what the model you got was please? and how much the aftermarket one was? good video too
www.axminstertools.com/axminster-small-rip-fence-upgrade-100257 Thankyou for your kind words. The link above is for the fence I used. I did get a deal on it way back when so it may be worth keeping your eye out for sales etc. BTW the bandsaw is still running true 😊👍
It was indeed and it was slightly skewed. Under the table you will find 4 Allen bolts holding the rack and pinion system to the table. Lossen them off, square and retighten! Once the table is back on and tightened down by the lever it should be sturdy.

Helpful video - a few tips in there that I’m going to try out - increasing the depth and that Axminster fence. Plus liking your upgraded handles.
Very informative, thanks. Can you please share link of the blade you purchased? I am not sure about the length of the blade.

Hi Tony so is it still worth getting one of these? I have been told that they had changed the fence and it was more secure?

Good video. I'm getting mine from Screwfix tomorrow so I shall certainly use some of the modifications you showed.
Thanks 😊😊😊😊

Just a quick question @Tony smith.. Was your table loose? If so how did you fix the issue? Thank you

@@ToneIslandDrums thank you so much for your reply! I will attempt this today 😀
