Hello Hannah. Just joined you as Petra has given you a shout out today. Will look forward to catching up on your channel and watching more in the future.
My mum taught me a few patterns on squares but I taught myself how to read & follow the instructions of the patterns but if I ever got stuck I use to go to her. All this happened before computers & going on to the Internet where around then. I've also taught myself how to crochet as well. The only problem that I seem to have is that I don't stick to one project. I instead have 10 different projects on the go whether it's to do with knitting/ crocheting / cross-stitching, but they do get finished it's just how I am
Yes, lots of creative people like to switch between projects, it can be helpful to choose one over another depending on your mood or inclination. Picking a different priority some weeks over others will help get things finished if you ever feel stuck. Happy creating! Hannah
@@KnitWithHannah I do find that cable is a bit harder because when my husband was alive I made him a sweater with a lot of cables & I either kept making mistakes or dropping a stitch & I had to keep going back to the ribbing part I managed to finish but it took me months to finishing it. But then then it could have been that I was trying to rush it to finish it before Christmas but I did manage to finishing it & he only worn it about twice then he clasped where he worked landed in hospital in Nottingham & that's where he died
Hi Hannah, I've looked through your videos and couldn't find the answer I need. Can I be cheeky and ask a question please? How do you cast on at the beginning of a row on the purl side?
Hi Rachael! I will actually have a video on this going live in a few weeks time. But what I actually suggest you do is add the the end of the knit row, rather than to the beginning of a purl row, as it'll be neater especially if you will see the edge. The best option I have found is the loop casting on, you'd just do it at the end of a row with the yarn that you're knitting with. Here's the video I have for that: ruclips.net/video/F66C9rwuhDg/видео.html Happy knitting!
@@KnitWithHannah Hi Hannah thanks for such a quick reply. The pattern says to cast on 5 stitches at the beginning of the next 10 rows so I don't think that would work. I've just cracked on with it for now. I'll look forward to seeing your video to see if I got it right, doubtful 😂 I can always knit it again. X
Hello Hannah, I am an oldie who hasn't knitted for 30+ years. I would like to download the PDF and have it sitting beside me on the screen as, being elderly I have forgotten so much. However, I don't know how to download the PDF, can you please help. Thank you, Cynthia
Hi Cynthia, have you added your name and email here? : knitwithhannah.co.uk/demos Once you do I can send it to you in an email. If you're having problems adding it to your device once you've received it in an email, I suggest finding someone who can help you with the device in front of you both. The different tablets, phones and desktops will use difference methods to download once you've got it on your screen from the email link. Happy knitting, and welcome back to the knitting world! 😍
Yes, go for it - if you're not going to see it, why not? Over a jumper with thousands of stitches I don't see a problem with changing a couple of things. Happy knitting! 🧶
Thank you Hannah! Just found a lacey scarf pattern with this stitch, so I know what to do now. Wish me luck for the swatch!
Great! Good luck, and happy knitting 🧶
I love your library of jargon!!
hi Cara, yes, it just goes on and on! LOL :D

My pattern says to do K2tog tbl but it's creating an uneven finish on the arm holes :( Do you think it'd be ok to just do K2tog instead ?

Hi Hannah my pattern says after k2togtbl slip stitch what does that mean?
Slip stitch is moving the stitch from left needle to right needle without knitting it: ruclips.net/video/V-SACj4yUjs/видео.html
