Thank you so much for this I'm trying a new patteren and I had never seen a psso before so now I know what I thought I had to do is what I have to do thank you again much love and light xx
Thank you for the easy to follow psso and other knitting instructions. I’m in a state of panic at the moment and wondering if you can help. Working on shawl with circular needles and the plastic needle just snapped of from metal that’s attached to circle. Over 300 cast on and on second row and going great so far. Is it a loss? I’ve put dropped stitches on straight needles but is it possible to put all on different circular needles. I’m new to circular needles and was so excited that it was going so well. I think I’ll have to invest in larger loop. Any input would be greatly appreciated 🧶
Hi Shelly, yes easily fixable. Just start knitting with another, same sized, circular needle - either at the beginning of the row (round if you're working in a circle), or where you had to stop. Once you've gone all the way around, you'll have knitted all the stitches onto the next needle. I even knitted a very long, large number of stitches decades ago, with three straight needles and knitted across them in order, one needle at a time. ItT worked really well and the idea of circular knitting needles were out there, but not easily available as interchangeable or 'get it on-line-able'. Have fun, this will be an anecdote to share with your knitting group for years! Happy knitting. 🧶

Oh, okay, thank you. I was pretty sure I understood how to do the psso, but I didn't understand why I was doing that. The pattern I was working on said, "Sl1. K2tog. psso." so I was doing a double decrease, then, I think.

You are so welcome! So glad you’ve mastered psso now. 🧶
Thank you so much for reminding me of this psso. I had forgotten what it was.
I know what you mean, I remember when ssk kept coming up randomly years ago, and I had to look it up over and again. Happy knitting 🧶

@@Doggyears yes, it’s a decrease in the k2tog and a second in the paso.
The multiple abbreviations so close can feel confusing! 🫤
